reception - faulty phone or simply less sensitive

Hi,
Would like ask about your help.
My omnia has weaker signal than my wave and my girlfriends GT540 in same place about one bar less. When i keep omnia in left hand signal drop down a lot - sometimes to 0-1 bar. Is this normal for omnia 7? (for sure wave and lg has better signal). I live in good coverage area.
many thanks for your help.
Looks like bottom left corner is very sensitive for touch.....rubber case should solve a problem.
Still would like ask omnia owners if expierience same thing please.
Could one of the omnia users spare 30 seconds and see if omnia loosing signal when cover left bottom corner, please?
I need know if my phone if faulty as i still have few days to send it back for exchange...
many thanks
from 5 to zero in 4 seconds...
covering the bottom part of the phone with my hand results in a complete signal loss as well...
Which firmware are you using?
can confirm the signal drop of two bars when covering the left bottom area (without a rubber case)
if I put my omnia into a rubber case, the signal does NOT drop
weird, never noticed that before...
Thanks for your help.
I have try all firmwares from samfirmware.com - same thing. Have got rubber case and it help a bit. Still comparing to wave 8500 Omnia 7 has poor reception.

Changed screen, low signal?

Hi I recently changed the screen on my G2, however I'm a bit paranoid because i feel as if my phone signal is not as good as it should be, perhaps due to incorrectly putting the phone back together. I am however on a new network (three uk) so I'm not sure how it was before (i bought the phone broken off ebay). That being said three do tend to have bad signal in my house. I wanna know if it may be due to a bad connection in the 3G attenna from bad repair or if the network is bad, normally get 0 or 1 bar 2 if if im lucky. Three if i go outside or near a window.

[Q] Nexus 4 weak signal / signal lost

Hi everybody,
I have two Nexus 4, both running CyanogenMod 11 M6, same baseband version (M9615A-CEFWMAZM-2.0.1700.98)
I experience signal lost or weak signal on one of them.
Both have a simcard from the same provider (china unicom) and are right now on the same desk. And as you can see on the attached screenshots, their signal strength are different :
My father went to a repair shop last year to change the screen that was broken. And reported me signal lost (or weak signal) since then. He never made the connection between these two events, but I'm supposing that there is one. Even more when after a few months, he finally brings me his phone and I looked at the glass they changed : I could see the square stripes on the surface if I look the screen from the side whereas on my original Nexus 4, it was not that obvious. I deduced (maybe wrongly) that the screen quality was not as good as the original (no gorilla glass or whatever) and that maybe this affects the antenna reception, or that they maybe didn't reconnected well the antenna when replacing the screen.
Anyway, I never dismounted any phone so all of this is pure suppositions, and I'd like to have your opinion on this problem :
Where this signal lost could come from ?
Do you recommend me to change the screen ?
If I go to another repair shop, what should I ask them to do ? check the antenna connection ?
Thank you a lot for your advices :good:

Problems in Status Bar

Hey Guys,
Did you experience any problems in the status bar?
On the official and non-touched CyanogenOS 12.1 sometimes the status bar just don´t want to come down with the finger swipe down. I tried to put Cyanogenmod 13, but the same problem persists. Looks like that on Trebuchet and Nova Launcher the problem is there. But using ADW seems to disapear.
Anyone with the same problems?
Thanks!!!
i think it's a touchscreen problem and not a rom problem. Try touching the left side edge of the display near the bottom and you will see what i mean.

@ op, try to contact the shop where you bought the z1
Thanks for the answers guys.
Something really weird in going on. I never used two SIM chips on my phone, I had one as a spare for my Fiber Internet (4G Backup). So I putted on the phone and the touch problems stopped. 3 days testing and everything is fine. So i decided to take the second (SIM 2) chip out and after 30 minutes, status bar problems again. Put the SIM back, status bar came to life again.
Yep, it is a touch problem, I downloaded a Screen tester. Just have no clue why powering the SIM 2 interface would help on the touchscreen.
Yes I am having this same Problem Please Help!!!
This problem started after 5 days since i bought my new phone Lenovo Zuk Z1
problem is that the status bar/notification bar does not open or does not comes downward sometimes but sometimes it works.
PLease if u have any suggestion reply me ASAP

LG G2 bad signal reception - different battery door back case

I recently bought used LG G2 with about 6 months warranty from provider. Network was locked so i used code to unlock it for all network (i dont think this has anything to do with my problem). After few days a noticed that my signal is very bad indoor, i dont even have signal in the middle of my apartment for exemple. I searched over internet if i can fix this problem so i found method with paper https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfS4LpfcLfg . I wanted to try if this will help but i just realized that my battery door case is different from the case thats on this clip. On this link you have picture of my case, the black one is mine http://g01.s.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1HsScFVXXXXXcXVXXq6xXFXXXy/131174225/HTB1HsScFVXXXXXcXVXXq6xXFXXXy.jpg , i cannot place paper below those antennas because mine are fixed to the case.
Does anyone have solution for this with this type of back door case?
