[QUESTION] Fix MirrorCast (Screen Cast) in PixysOS 2.4 - Mate 10 Lite - Huawei Nova 2i (Mate 10 Lite / Honor 9i) Questions

Does anyone know how to fix mirror casting (screen casting) in Mate 10 Lite running PixysOS 2.4 (Pie)?
It connects to remote device (e.g. Smart TV) then reboots. Can't get it to "really" connecting and screen casting to TV/laptop.
Already tried:
#MirrorEnabler Magisk
Miracast Enabler (same as above?)
Mirror Fix
ETC I BELIEVE I TRIED EVERYTHING LOL
This is the remaining 0.1% to make PixysOS 2.4 a perfect ROM lol
Thanks!
EDIT: Mirror Casting also not working with DotOS 3.0 (Pie). Same thing happens.

Cast Screen not working with Cyanogenmod 12.1

Hi,
I have run the latest few versions of the nightly build for 30/7 and 31/7, up to the latest, 10/8. I have carried out a full wipe of the system, and almost everything works much better than with the Lollipop stock ROM.
This issue I have is with the Cast Screen. It will connect to Miracast (An LG TV, Samsung TV and a Roku 3) and also to an EZCast dongle. However, All that is displayed is a black screen. Bothe systems say that the phone is connected, it is just that the screen is not mirrored.
I can display video via Bubble UPNP to the EZCast and TVs, but that is all.
Here's hoping that others have seen this and can help.
Regards, Richard
I am facing the same situation mine would connect for a second and then just disconnect- very happy with CM12.1 otherwise but cannot find a solution for it anywhere. If you do pls share
Use all cast https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koushikdutta.cast works perfectly for me on RR rom
I don't think that Allcast is an answer. Bubble UPNP already works, but that also will not allow for screen casting, which is what I wanted to do.

Chromecast mirroring issue

Tried multiple times with chrome cast(3 day old device, 128gb version)
connects all the time while mirroring
stays so for a couple of minutes while scrolling through the page gets hung...and the Chromecast loses connectivity completely from the network...then I have to restart the router to get things back online..
Happened every time I connected my one plus 5 .
No issues with galaxy A5 Samsung...and obviously Nexus 5x works like a charm using the same router...
one plus works well with casting YouTube and other apps..
issue is only with mirroring. ..
in Google home all while hitting cast (for mirroring ) it says
"Screen casting is not optimized for this device. Your experience may vary"
Is there a work around?
why is this beast of a phone (spec wise...and so far usage wise as well) not optimized for Chromecast?

Chromecast not working on SHIELD TV 2015 Pro

Hi,
I do own a SHIELD Pro 2015. The device is connected via Ethernet directly to the router. Chromecast-enabled apps on devices in the same network recognize the SHIELD, however when I try to cast to it nothing happens and the streaming immediately stops.
Things I have tried:
- Factory reset.
- Installing recovery images 6.0, 6.1 and 6.2
- Connecting to WiFi on the same router
- Connecting to a different route.r
- Installing LineageOS and try casting to it
- Casting from Android and iOS devices
It is never working, the only exception being Youtube. Casting youtube immediately loads Youtube. Casting Google Photos, Napster, the phone screen ect. does not work at all.
I dedicated Chromecast on the same network is working fine, as are Google Home devices and a chromecast enabled soundbar.
Bump - because I'm in the exact identical situation. Except my shield no longer shows up as a cast device when it did last week after a full factory restore. I'm currently rooted with SuperSU on 6.2.

Unable to mirror screen to my VU Smart TV.

My VU Smart TV runs on opera os and supports screen mirroring through anyview cast app on it and when I try connecting my phone it shows connecting then wfd service starts and automatically I don't see the Smart TV option in available devices on my phone. I have to refresh then again I get the option in available devices but to no luck the connection doesn't succeed. I'm on stock rom 8.1.
you have to keep connecting several times to get connected
This is bug in all mi devices sadly....use custom rom if u wanna cast.. it works perfectly on it.

Triodexe 15.1 Lineage casting not working

I am trying to turn my shield tablet into basically an android TV box. I am trying to get Prime, Netflix, and Cinema apk to play on tablet and cast to Roku box. I used to be able to do it no problem. I do not know what changed. I am running Triodexe 15.1 Lineage. I am trying to cast to my Roku Ultra. I know your devices have to be on the same wireless network which they are. If it isn't the tablet doing it the only thing I can think of that possibly changed is ROM and now my wireless network just has one network name for both 2.4 and 5. This new router just sets up one network and prioritizes devices automatically for which network the device will use. As far as ROM I cannot remember which one I had it working on. Is anyone else able to confirm casting is working on this app?
Update - When using Lineage I could not get my PS4 to connect via Bluetooth. This was in addition to not being able to use the cast button. I ended up finding a solution to the casting problem. I downloaded Cast to TV-Xcast from the Google play store once it was setup I was able to detect my wifi connection and get it setup. I decided to experiment trying get the PS4 controller working. I seen Magisk actually has a module to add support for the PS4. I installed it and it did not work. Therefore, I decided to try another custom ROM. I am now running ASOP 6.7 with Pie Android 9. I still have the cast problem on it but my controller now pairs. So, it took some monkeying around but I solved those issues.
It seams like we have a couple good ROMs for this device which are close to working perfectly and then the people building them stop. I know Lineage had official builds of 14.1 and 15.1. Somewhere there has to be on o hei builds floated around that is stable. Then, the proper patches can be applied to it. I have tried looking into building images myself but that is over my head. I have a PC I just built that is more than fast enough. I have a Ryzen 7 3600, 32gb of RAM, and more than enough SSD space. I wish someone could connect to my PC and remotely build images, or they could remotely help setup my PC and show me how to do it. Then, I would keep the forum updated with new builds. If I could figure it out I would help out building images for other devices as well.
