Sim unlock s10+ from sprint to metropcs - Samsung Galaxy S10+ Questions & Answers

Good morning. I was just curious, is there anyway to unlock my phone myself using ODIN?
If so, is there a link to the correct files I would need?
TIA

You need to have Sprint unlock it first and they require 50 days with service on that device and no outstanding bill.
Then you can put in your MetroPCS sim and call Metro and they will add the IMEI and it will work fine, or if you want, download the unlocked file and flash with ODIN to remove the bloatware.

Where can i find the file

https://androidfilehost.com/?w=file...191a2f4a12730a065090a256ed328229706d53b8f97ed
You also need ODIN patched and the Samsung drivers.
This will only work after you have Sprint unlock the sim

It will let you use any carrier as long as the SIM is unlocked.
If the sim is locked by Sprint you need them to unlock it first.
---------- Post added at 10:59 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:58 PM ----------
The carrier must unlock it first. Then this allows other carriers to work. But if Sprint has it locked you are SOL.

Network unlock Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 LTE (SM-T335)?

Does anybody know how to remove a network lock from a galaxy tab 4 8.0?
There's loads of apps on the play store but none seem to work.
It's currently locked to Vodafone UK. It's rooted and model SM-T335 LTE

Im trying to get the original owner to contact voda, but it's slow.
If i was able to flash a BTU firmware over this, would it remove the sim lock?

If you do need or want the BTU firmware (as opposed to the Vodafone firmware) here is a good download link (android file host). All the other download hosts are some combination of slow, buggy, or unreliable.

hi, try flashing https://idlekernel.com/twrp/hero2qlte/3.0.0-0/twrp-3.0.0-0-hero2qltetmo.tar.md5
while it isn't for your phone (it's actually for T-Mobile S7 Edge), if it at least flashes then you are in the clear and I will happily port TWRP for G930P.
If the flash fails with SECURE CHECK FAIL, then you are out of luck. (nothing is changed and it won't trip knox)
RESULTS
if it flashes successfully, and trips knox, then you have an unlocked bootloader, and twrp will happen for you in a few days
if it does not flash, it will not trip knox, and nothing will have changed, but you have a locked bootloader
I'll test when I get back home thanks

Sprint variant is locked. Thanks for the confirmation. Yeah, you're Fked, apologies!
T-Mobile is also locked.
You may one day become vulnerable to a live root exploit such like TowelRoot, but you will never be able to use a custom recovery, system image (ROM), or kernel.

This is probably on Samsung, not Sprint, tbh.
Either way, the Galaxy 7 customers in the U.S. are completely screwed, as far as ever getting root/recovery/any development for Galaxy 7s goes.
No chance of development means no real need for these forums on XDA, honestly.
(I mean, this is an Android Development website.)
Let the devs figure it out if they can; until that happens there's nothing to really do here. ?
(My device is going back, though.)

I think you ought to have unlocked before going the U-way. Most unlocker I found utilize the Tmobile unlock app to unlock which is only found on the stock Tmobile firmware. I dunno. Anything is possible. I'm also seeking to unlock mine... I'm outside the US. So I guess I have better chance. Wish there was some free way though.. Goes from $20 to $30 on eBay.. Ain't no cheap unlock these days.

Ok I unlocked 3 T-Mobile s7 edge devices thru unlock base and this is what you have to do
You have to flash the T-Mobile firmware back to your phone thru odin.. Take your sd card out and make sure to click nand erase all while flashing T-Mobile firmware .. You can do this before or after you purchase T-Mobile app unlock.. I did it afterwards
Once you have t mobile firmware on phone use the unlock app to unlock.. Then I flashed the U firmware back but I did NOT do nand erase this time.
My phone is on cricket unlocked and working
Remember to nand erase first or you will get a error on the unlock app because flashing other software such as U screws up the unlock app.. So do a nand erase
You do have to use the unlock app but doing it my way here works perfectly!
Works perfectly.. I done 3 T-Mobile s7 's so far

on the top of the unlock to be able to use the phone in the USA (and we're not offering cleaning service)
which means you won't be able to use in usa
but please contact them about it
I just got unclocked from a seller on ebay. Presently $69.5.. Before unlock my imei was blacklisted. But now imei appears to be clean. Is that how they unlock? Clean imei and then place a call to tmobile for unlock? If there's anyone wanting to unlock, go for esn cleaning 1st (about $20) and call tmobile to unlock your phone and see if they'll do it for free.

It's a messaging app like WhatsApp, Viber, etc. Download it on Google Play Store or Apple AppStore.
I got in touch with him through Facebook of all places, ty!
He is telling me the phone has to be rooted before he can unlock the SIM.
I have been reading the forum he linked me to to root the S7 but it seems like a lot has gone wrong for many people who have tried to do it.
I'm on pg 5 of the post and will update my next move, as always open to advice, ty!
So just got done rooting and then Unlocking device, root wasn't that bad to do but I am getting a constant notification telling me unauthorized changes were made and to restart the device to undo changes. Now I am supposed to use Odin to flash my current rom G930PVPU4APL6_SPT4APL6_SPR_Sprint_USA_6.0.1.zip and then turn off OTA updates, not sure how to turn OTA off yet or that I want to, due to security updates?
If you unlock you device you just can flash again the same firmware that's you use to root and from this point just upgraded but you can ask to the guy that's unlock if you can flash it... I think that's you don't will have trouble since you are with the official one of sprint in my case I lost the unlock because I pass from sprint room to a U room and after that I back to sprint but if you do the upgrade with the same official firmware I think that all gonna be OK, just ask before...
Yes I flashed back to PL6 build 6.0.1 so all is good! I am back to latest stock ROM, Un-Rooted and SIM Unlocked! I am very HAPPY! I Recommend www.simunlockremote.com to anyone who needs SM-G930P SIM Unlocked. Very good service.

You use the app that's preinstalled on your phone.
yea that isn't working for me... I tried it and it just gives me an error code
Is the phone paid off in its entirety and did you wait 40days after you brought the phone?
If you just want a temp unlock, I think you can request it on the app.

So I couldn't find anything in the forums but does anyone know where I go to enter the unlock pin? I have it there's just no instructions on where to enter it to unlock my device.

hello,
tap on the screen so that it gives you option to type your pin instead of using fingerprint.

So there is a forum here on how to convert it to the international version. That's what I did. And I completely bypassed needing to wait 40 days and paying off the phone. If I find the post I will link it for you

I can't get it to work. I downloaded everything but when I run the MsmDownload tool it works for 16 seconds then I get an "Sahara Communication Failed" message

I have converted to international version but its doesn't unlocks sim I have ordered sim unlock service from https://www.cellunlocker.net/t-mobile-unlock-app/ after sim unlock you can convert to international version. If your phone has bad imei (financed) you cant use phone in USA. If imei is clean it will work with any network in USA
Ok! So it worked! I just had to download the patched version of the MSM tool and it rebooted and everything and no more TMobile logo. Thanks guys!

No, it doesn't but I don't necessarily need the SIM unlocked. I tested Fi on here and it works fine. That's the only other carrier that I use and in my area I'm usually on the T-Mobile part anyway.
