After upgrading from a Galaxy S7 I can safely say these speakers are amazing. It has one front-facing speaker at a slight angle on top and one down-facing speaker. The volume is incredible and can happily fill a room. I haven't tried yet but I would even think it would be usable in a very loud environment like a party. As for quality, they sound fantastic. Listening to music is wonderful and I can hear every instrument played which is so pleasant. The music fills a room easily as well which is a bonus. For gaming, the speakers are fantastic for hearing enemies coming which does give a significant advantage (overall the phone is amazing for gaming and gives a serious edge with 60fps low latency gameplay). Overall, absolutely wonderful speakers

About its Speaker Volume, honestly i would vote 3.5/5 . Its speaker volume is not loud enough for outdoors usages.
However i believe the clarity out of what you can hear is good after all.
Its Earphone/Headphone Sound is good, along side Huawei Histen Sound Effects makes it even better. i would rate around 4.5/5 here for headphone sound.

While the speaker on the Honor Play is decent, it's not as loud as i'd like it to be. But the quality is really nice and there's no distortion.

This is what my experience has been so far, having purchased this device on 13/10/2018
Speakers can achieve a decently loud volume, voice clarity in ear speaker and phone speaker during calls is very clear.
Though, the speakers themselves are quite tinny compared to my friend's iPhone XS and a family member's note 9. There also seems to be some very minor audio distortion when cranking the volume to max.
Other than that, for the price range the device has a good pair of speakers and is way better than a single bottom firing.
It won't be as close to the '1k phones' in quality but you won't be dissapointed either.
Have you spoken through the handsfree while driving a car with an open window? I think that the volume is very bad

The speaker phone is fantastic
I would give it a strong 8/10 for sound considering it's size
Is definitely I good improvement over the tab S4. A lot more depth and low end , nice and loud
The sound quality is vastly improved over my old galaxy tab S - yes, I know that's not saying much since that sucked (I don't think I ever listened to anything on them).
Sound quality from Google music is nice (again considering the speaker size/location).
These are the best speakers I've tried on a tablet to date. Spatial mapping is good, and better than anticipated. I also like the strength of vibrations produced.

Pretty good
I've been using this phone for a few days now as my daily driver. I'm impressed by the bottom firing loudspeaker's volume. It's pretty darn loud in comparison with my Pocophone F1.
Clarity is good also even tho it's playing at a loud volume. At maxed out volume you'll get the slight distortion but, you dont wanna use it at full volume as its pretty loud for me.
What I'm quite disappoint with is that it's just a single bottom firing speaker with no stereo speaker. Other than that I'm pretty satisfied
8.5/10

Loudness is okay (I guess average nowadays), but the speakers sound thin. The top "speaker" (read: amplified earpiece) only plays rather high frequencies, but is decently loud for what it is. Don't forget, there is not much room behind it.
The bottom facing speaker does not well with lower frequencies. Don't even expect good lower mids. Base is nonexistent. All in all I'd give this setup 3/5.
It is true that the mobile does not sound very good listening to music or in calls, but the sound is not bad when a general equalization is made, in my case I use the playstore application Wavelet, and I adjust the best sound for everything.
