LG V35 awm and ulm variants on at&t sim 277634#*# does not work - LG V35 Questions & Answers

I have both awm (att, i have tried both stock rom and also crossflashing the ulm rom) and ulm (usa unlocked) variants,
when using an att sim (i have tried cricket, freeup mobile , and freedompop) on both these variants, the service code 277634#*# won't work,on the other hand, on my lg v30 tmobile unlocked, there is no such issue with the aforementioned att sim. Could anyone explain?
note: none of the phones mentioned are is rooted.

another question: is there any app that can create shortcut for this dial code, and even go down

You can try QuickShortcutMaker from App Store. This menu should be in Activities -> Hidden Settings. It works for my rooted V30 and I am pretty sure root is not required but for some system apps such as the one you are trying to make shortcut for, it may need root permission. I will try it on my V35 later myself.

LG Stylo 2 (LGLS775) - Virgin Mobile - Unlock & Root

I was very pleased when I bought this phone as it updated to Nougat 7.0, system updates are rare for VM. I'm hearing that the Boost variant can be unlocked/rooted however the VM variant can not, I did run the command adb reboot bootloader and the phone just rebooted so I'm hoping someone here can tell me if it's possible?
Thanks in advance
Was told by a company that roots phones that the LGLS775 Virgin Mobile is unrootable
There are several outfits on Ebay that offer to unlock international GSM roaming on your Virgin Mobile LG Stylo 2 (LS775) by flashing a replacement ROM that enables the locked-out GSM capability. It does work, but it's not as simple as an unlock code. They have to connect to your PC to flash new firmware to the phone via the USB debug connection.

As of right now none of our devices past the 7.0 zvb firmware update can be rooted. I can tell you how to find your SPC or MSL code to "unlock" the device to access Dialer code menus like ##data# ##iot# ##debug#

Best/CheapestWay to Carrier Unlock Sprint LG V20 (Dirty Santa? US996 Rom? eBay Guys?)

Hi,
I just purchased a locked Sprint LG V20 online and I'm just wondering what the best (Cheapest) way to unlock it and use it on a Canadian network.
I've read on some threads when you do the Dirty Santa bootloader unlock, the carrier becomes unlocked as well? (Could someone please explain the exact way how or point me to a thread that can). I also read flashing a US cellular rom on a Sprint model will unlock the phone.
Then there's a method similar to the G5 where you can download the hidden menu dialer apk and unlock it that way.
Thanks,

check the software version on your cellular telephone device.
If it mentions zv5, it is rootable. If it says zv6, dont bother. Been patched.
I went on eBay to unlock my Sprint V20 to use with AT&T.

LG V20 Sim Network Unlock Code

(mod edit)

Hello fellas, I have the LG V20 AT&T phone and I want to be able to use the sim of any network carrier of my choosing and I’ve been told that it's next to impossible to unlock AT&T phones unless you have the stock locked Rom and if I will flash unlocked Rom the phone will be sim free. Would that be correct If that is correct, my question is: Does anyone have unlocked Rom from this phone? At this moment when I insert different carrier sim the phone ask for 8 digit sim network unlock put code. any guide for it or someone with the knowledge to do it or someone pointing towards the right direction would be greatly appreciated!

From my understanding, and at least on Tmobile, you have to ask the carrier for the sim unlock code. Your phone has to be paid off if you bought the phone through the carrier. This is independent of the rom used. Check this out: https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/#/

Since you are being prompted for a actual unlock code.you do infact have at&t and NOT t mobile device with their garbage unlock app and process.simply look for a unlock code for a "lg v20 h910" or "lg v20 at&t unlock "on ebay.all the other cell unlock sites are a rip off. Codes are pretty cheap like 2 bux or so.now if you had a t mobile device you would have had to jump through a lot of hoops to get it unlocked.luckily you dont.

To unlock an LG V20 (lgv20) on AT&T (att) without another network sim:
Dial *#06# on your device to find your IMEI
Get your unlock pin from att.com/deviceunlock
Dial or paste: 2945#*910#
A menu will popup. Choose network lock. Enter the unlock code AT&T gave you.
The phone will restart and be unlocked.
So I got to the unlock screen by entering:
2945#*910#
The 910 is the model number. My phone's Settings > System > About > Hardware Info lists my phone as an LG-H910
So if you're on another network, chances are you could use your model number to get through.

How to unlock network bands on Verizon unlock phone ?

Hello everyone so this my history I'm on T-Mobile Network and I have a Verizon v20 unlock phone everything working good just the internet is slowly so I searched about how to enable bands (I can't find something clear ) on Verizon v20 to make it work on TMobile (full LTE ) its this possible ? Is there some mode or something the really work (Unlock bands) like I said already searched but I can't find something really clear
Note : I have just H sign allway on like other user experiment jus show 4g lte for a minute
Thanks on advance
If I understand you correctly, perhaps you need to set up an APN for T-Mobile. It'll be under Settings->Networks->More->Mobile Networks->AccessPoint Names.

Well I already have the TMobile APN and I trying to figure how to get lte because I have only H icon and no Lte (speed) so what the asking is if is possible activide TMobile band like 7 , 12 etc ... Thanks for your reply ?
Well, you came from Verizon CDMA and T-Mobile is GSM. As long as you've got the proper values in the T-Mobile APN (and you got your sim from T-Mobile), I'm not aware of anything else you can do. Could be wrong, though.
Good Luck!

Thanks I'll keeping searching if I find something I'll post here but if someone have a information about how to making work (unlock frequency's band ) more than welcome ?
The ONLY way I could is to flash another carrier or us996 custom rom. The vs995 rom apparently forces the phone to connect to Verizon towers and bands only. Can't edit in any secret menus, nothing, that's the only way I could. Tip, if you want to use wifi calling, flash a custom stock TMobile room not us996
Interesting so there is a way to flash us996 (Spring correct ?) rom on V995 ? Anyone know what's the safe way if is possible ? ?

Flashing a tmobile rom on a nontmobile phone is a great way to brick. Best case it won't boot and lets you flash back, though it could trip ARB as well making it impossible to roll back. The kernel uses a different security key than the other models.
Has anyone tried flashing a Non.Hlos.Bin from which-ever carrier you are wanting to use?
I don't own this phone, I just by chance took a look at this thread.
Yes of course you would need the correct APN. But you may also may need to flash the modem file from the carrier you are wanting to use. ( It can be extracted)
Another option is using QPST.
With QPST you can change the IMEI, add bands, repair a bricked phone, flash a rom etc. These are just suggestions for things to try. Again, I do not have this phone.
Old thread I know, but if you or others have this problem, have you tried using the LG hidden menu (accessed using dial screen)?
*#546368#*996#
If you have the 996 version, just copy & paste. Otherwise, just change 996 to what model you have.
Field Test > Modem Settings > LTE Band Selection
Select the band you want to use/test, then wait a few seconds for it to register. Your signal will drop for a moment, then should show 4GLTE, if you selected the correct one. There may be more than one that works, but one may be more congested.
You should find a list of available bands for your carrier, before messing around.
Also, do not mess with other settings, or you could really screw up your phone I know from experience.

LG V20 ls997 hidden menu Android Oreo

hi guys .
i have just updated my android to oreo and to use my cellular network i need to go to the hidden menu and change some settings .
in nougat i used to enter a code and it opened the menu but after the update i can't open the menu with that code .
anyone having this problem ?
any solutions ?
The hidden menu has been disabled for many many updates on ls997, so many updates in fact, that you may have even been on an ancient rootable version before you took the update. (It's impossible to root even vaguely recent LS997 updates and will stay unrootable unless you're very lucky). And yes, it's impossible for you to return to the an update old enough to root or even have a working hidden menu and you will brick if you try.

Hi, I saw in a post that recent updates "ineffect" disabled the hidden menu for LS997. You also mention that Zv7 was the last honest to good variant of firmware that has access to hidden menu. I'm having trouble finding the access code for the locked unlock.
Tech gave me the *#2495#*XXX# (where XXX = the model #)
I need to access the dialer to enter in a UICC code given to me before attempting to root.
Any advice is appreciated.
Juju
anyone have that old hidden menu to enter unlock code?
Saw code for Service enu but never did see the code used above for "unlocking code entry" I have an unupdated zv7 Sprint LS997 Sprint variant and wanted to try an unlock code but the hidden menu code given isnt working.
Julie
Just gonna say this, I never got anywhere with it. But there is one way afaik to unlock with that menu after updating past it.
Because they incremented arb you can't downgrade back to arb 0. ZV7 is arb 1, so if someone was able to supply a backup of their system on ZV7, we could get a downgrade for all firmwares on LS997 to go to ZV7 and unlock their phone.

Some did unlock their LS997s prior to firmware/OS updates correct?
I have an original LS997 without ANY upgrades to the firmware. It is Sprint variant running ZV7 original no updates. Non rooted LG-V20 Sprint. If it would benefit the community and someone is interested in offering step by step instructions on rooting to give virgin copy of bootloader on the device so they can create downgrade, I am happy to donate time and the un-updated LS997 original software from my device(s)

I might have been wrong looking back lol. If you don't mind dial *#lgmenu#*997#, go to SVC, then Version Info and tell me what the antirollback is set to. If it's 1 we should be good to downgrade to that firmware, but if it's 0 it won't work.
