I confirm the internet issue, internet isn't very consistent and is continuously breaking. Don't know about battery drain yet.

yes battery drain is faster,
i want to switch back to my beloved 340 version, but not able to do

Yes! 10% battery drain overnight. Used to be 2%. Facing this issue since 057 update and still in 058.

No standby drain for me the SOT is like an hour less when compared to 056 build. Also, no internet connectivity issues.

Yes battery drain is higher. My battery dropped for 100 to 65 percent... Last charged 16hrs ago... SOT 15 min. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Battery is fine for me but Data troubles. I think Asus themselves want us to install Custom ROMs in our device

I dont have any battery drain issue. Only 4% drop overnight with data & wifi on. It is better to do a factory reset for those who have battery drain. Now Phone is much cooler compared to earlier 4 versions after PUBG for 1 hour like.

Interestingly, I haven't faced any standby drain. The battery consumption seems to have increased overall. You should try rebooting into safe mode and see if you're facing the issue. If not, it must be one of your apps.

moved back to oreo 340 update will move back to pie once they release a good stable update, app drawer did not work, hang many time,

Fast battery drain when screen is on

Hi,
I have an LG G2 (for more than 18 months) which I really like (and still can't find a compact 5-5.2" smartphone to replace it with) but it seems that lately the battery drains quite fast when having the screen on.
Brightness is set at Auto + 50%, as always. The drain seems to be around 1% per 2 minutes. Screen is reported to consume about 50% of the battery. I don't think it would last more than 1.5-2 hours untill the battery drains completely. I noticed others getting like 4-6 hours of screen time.
I performed a factory reset and things look better overall but as soon as I use the screen the accelerated battery drain starts. I am using the 30b lollipop update, phone is 100% stock, no root.
Is this considered normal ? Should I attempt to replace the battery ? Is 18 month too much for it ?
Thanks !
Turn off the wifi when you are not using it. Whenever my wifi is on and connected my battery drains like crazy.
And i am rooted with exposed and power nap.
After i turn off my wifi my battery isnt draining at all.
Cheers

Thanks, but I always thought that Wi-Fi is much less battery intensive compared to the GSM data connection...strange.
Yeah it supposed to be like that, but our driver for wifi on lollipop is garbage
I'd recommend replacing the battery as well.
A healthy battery should produce the results you see others enjoy.
How is your performance with kit Kat and jelly bean?

Moto G4 plus battery drain rate increased after nougat.

Brothers, on marshmallow, while using music, whatsapp, messenger & occasional browsing for an hour my battery would lose 13-14% charge. A week ago i updated to nougat. And now my battery drains 16% in 58 minutes while using messenger & whatsapp only. And moreover after 30%, on marshmallow, battery drain rate was 1% in 3-4 minutes. Now it is 1% per 2 minutes.
I have noticed the same. I notice that my standby draining is much more.

I have exactly the opposite. Much better standby drain than MM. full charge lasts upto 40 to 48 hours.
The comments on GSM Arena show battery drain on Nougat is common issue.

I switched off the bluetooth and now my battery life is better. I have a xiaomi mi band 2 that's why i used bluetooth on my device.
Sorry bad english
Nope battery drainage is same in my handset but turbocharging is slightly affected.
Any solution to it?

Battery drain standby

Hello,
I just received my new Lg g6 H870 EUR (version : V10t-EUR-XX) from Amazon a few days ago, but I never managed to finish a day with more than 4h of SOT since Standby consumes more battery than SOT.
I tried disabling all LG apps with adb (based on a famous reddit thread), it did improve battery life, but not by much.
I'm using Mi-fit with Mi-band 2 (it may be the culprit, i'll try not using it for a day or two) but on my previous Xiaomi redmi note 4 It didn't have an impact (Screen always on desactivated, almost Always on WiFi and auto synchro activated, had the same settings on my redmi and didn't suffer like this)
Also there is something I don't understand about Chrome, I close it manually AND force close it, but after a few seconds it runs again, that may be one of the culprits (it was the latest version, so i factory reset it and it still happens) ?
If you guys have any ideas I'll be grateful.
I also thought about rooting/custom firemware but if I return the phone Amazon might just refuse it I think?
Thanks for reading.
There are several threads on how to improve, but not solve, this issue. Until LG fix their bugs you should read the real life review thread on standby, also a couple in this section.
Using those tips my idle drain is now down from 60mAh per hour to under 30, less if I'm connected to Wi-Fi instead of 4G. Other regions that already have the next firmware update say it's much better for standby drain, so we will see.

What tips?
Last 2months my night time battery standby drain is huge 20%+.

Anyone noticed battery drains bad after the FPS update.

Wondering if anyone facing this issue because when I first got the phone the stand by drain was really bad but with the March 1st security update the battery was really good. Since the FPS update the battery seem to be back to before let alone the FPS really bad too, at least in my case it worse than before the update. I tried to reregister the FPS but I have to presses really hard for it to accept the scan or else it just keep telling me to press harder. Snapdragon version by the way.
For Exynos version after FPS update battery drain is also worse then previously. I contacted Samsung for this issue but no response until now

No phone comes close to my XS Max 12.3 DB in standby. Bluetooth connected to my watch, WiFI, et al. Never tried airplane mode. Its battery life when being used is not as good as the S10+ but standby certainly is better so there's that.
TBH I stopped worrying about standby drain when wireless charging came about. Now if it's draining more than a few % per hour then something is clearly wrong.

My battery life was cut in half from this update. I am losing 5-8% PER HOUR, with the screen off. By this time of day I would normally be around 75%, instead it’s around 45%...

Standby drain

When you sleep, does your phone sleep, or does it stay up all night and crunch 1s and 0s? Rate this thread to express how you deem the speed at which the Realme 3 Pro's battery drains under standby conditions. A higher rating indicates that when the phone is not in use, the battery drains minimally.

Bad Battery drain
Using it for two days only. Even with smart power saver and sleep mode on the battery drains pretty fast on standby mode. It went from 13% to 0 in 5 hours(overnight). Which does not happen on my other phone (Asus zenfone max pro m1). Don't know if it is a software thing as the soc is pretty efficient as far I understand and the zenfone runs stock android.
P.S. Why do they remove the screen on time.
P.P.S. I wish the settings app was easier to navigate.

This has become way too annoying mow. Last night it was 20% I switched on 'Super High Power Efficiency' hoping hardly any power will be consumed as they kill the background processes. But this morning found it switched off.
When I checked the power usage it appears background tasks were running and they hogged up all the juices.
Now I regret not buying a phone with optimized software. I have read other phones (nokia 8.1, mi 8 se) with the same 710 soc and 3k mAh battery runs almost 2 days. Mine lasts barely a day.
mine too, same issue. i am looking for custom rom that can solve the issue

also moved from a Zenfone Max Pro M1, was disappointed by the drain. However after checking power usage details, my camera app was running throughout the night, so I've disabled it for now and am using another camera app.

How do you disable system apps? Pls tell me.
Guys, I have been using this for few days. For me standby time is excellent, last night it was 26 when I wake up it is 22%: I don't even turn off internet at night.
Probably this might work for you, go settings>battery>screen battery optimization> set it to balanced.
I got my phone yesterday
my battry was also draining fast
after check i found camera app using battery in background
Solution
Disable face unlock- it keeps your camera app ON always so put it off.

Did the issue gone after u disable face unlock?
Thank you
I bought it in the first sale and I'm not facing any such issue. I got SOT of 7 to 9 hours depending on my use (I don't play games).
To check the Screen on time on realme 3 pro follow the below steps:
Install Gsam battery monitor
Goto settings > battery
Disable Smart Power Saver
Select 'Custom Power Consumption Protection'
Select GSam battery monitor and allow background running.
This will OS will not kill it and it will be able to measure properly.
