Can the Mi 9T/Redmi K20 record HDR10 video? - Redmi K20 / Xiaomi Mi 9T Questions & Answers

Hi,
I'm considering on buying the Xiaomi Mi 9T/Redmi K20 and was wondering if the phone can record HDR10 video like other flagship phones such as the Galaxy S9 and S10?
I don't mean HDR "enhanced" video which most smartphones can do. I mean "HDR10" video capture specifically which was first introduced in the Galaxy S9.
The Snapdragon 730 chipset does say it supports HDR10 capture like the Snapdragon 855.
Thanks

Note4 / Snapdragon or Exynos for better camera?

Hello!
I will buy a Note4 but i have dilemma for going on Exinos or Snapdragon because i'm mostly interested in best camera quality i can get?
Does anybody have some experience which one to buy regarding that matter?
TNX!
Exynos version comes with Samsung's own ISOCELL sensor while Snapdragon comes with Sony IMX sensor. Both take outstanding pictures, but exynos version has always been preferred by photographers because the shutter time is up to .4s faster compared to the snapdragon sensor. I've used both and exynos took clearer pixels than snapdragon. (Pictures taken by ISOCELL doesn't pixelate under 60% zoom, while the latter show signs of pixelation under 60%).
In simple terms, exynos wins!

MI 6 vs MI A1

Hello guys,
I need your honest opinion.
I need to get a new device. I only use blackberry old phone at this moment.
I am thinking of mi 6 or mi A1? Which one do you think is better?
I am thinking a1 for the price and stock android (what I love with oneplus before) but I like also to have snapdragon 835 and EIS for camera.
EIS also affect the quality of normal photos or videos only? I have shaky hands by the way.
Please advice.
Pricing:
mi a1 = 749 aed
mi 6= 1399 aed
Thanks guys
isn't one plus 5 vs mi 6 a better comparison.
i agree however oneplus 5 is out because of my budget
The A1 is easy to unlock bootloader and root. After that you can enable EIS in the build prop and install ported Google cam with HDR+. It's excellent.
The SD625 actually performs quite well on the A1. It may not be as fast as an 835, but it's always smooth and probably more battery friendly.
MI6 has NFC I think, which the A1 doesn't so that could be something to consider.
For the price, stock android AND a great camera, you just can't go wrong with the A1 imo.

[APP] [REQUEST] Redmi Note 5 Pro Camera Port

Hey guys, I've been using the 6 GB variant for a while now and everything is good but the video stabilization is abysmal, both with GCAM and the stock app. The EIS stutter is prominent and makes the video almost unusable even when shot outdoors. The RN5P in contrast has excellent video stabilization. This just hurts me.
Because the stabilization is gyroscope based on both devices, I was wondering if we could port the the RN5P camera app to our phone. Or even that of the MI A2 will do I guess?

is there a Mi 9T Pro?

All I heard was the mi 9t, and no pro variant.
Seems to be coming a pro version. Dutch phoneseller belsimpel.nl has a link to this device, and they are official xiaomi seller. Might also be to generate some pre-sales just in case....
hopefully it comes.. but first I really need the information that it will be.. if not I will move from my OP3 to the Mi9T (nonPro).. if yes, I will wait..

Me too
I kinda strugle there, the only bonus the 9T Pro would bring is the SD 855 and the higher battery charging as far as i know, and the included charger doesn't support it.
The 9T on the other hand has a new very power efficient (as far as ive read) SD 730 which will mean much longer battery runtime.
So i need some time there.

There are more 'tiny' differences to consider.
- 4K 30fps vs 4K 60fps
- No laser autofocus vs laser autofocus
- Single band GPS vs Dual band GPS

But the Mi 9T Pro has a Super Amoled screen which uses less power than just an Amoled screen, so that may make up for some loss of power from the chip.

Thanks for the info on the laser autofocus. I was wondering about that as the videos I've seen seem to indicate that the Mi 9T seems to have issues focusing in videos it's creating.

Yes you are right. That's why the 30FPS vs the 60FPS.
The K20 pro is launching next month in India and they don't have a mi 9 so nothing to worry about from Xiaomi's part
However the global market has a mi 9 which is just 3 months old. My guess is there'll be at least another 3 months wait for the pro varient.
Mi 9t pro is in 3 month an old phone. IMHO a Bad decision to release the non pro first.

slow motion resolution?

on the official Xiaomi website for both the K20 and the Mi 9T it says 1080p @ 960fps, but i've seen youtubers say its only 720p
can anyone confirm which is true? and if it is only 720p why is Xiaomi advertising 1080p?

Yes. My Mi 9t shoot at 720p960fps. Thought I was the only one. And even at 720p it stutters sometimes.
If anyone has 1080p I would like to know !
