[REVIEW] Phantomskinz Ultra Clear Full Body - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Accessories

I have used and tried all screen protectors in the past from Zagg, Skinomi, Dbrand etc but I find myself always going back to Phantomskinz. In my opinion, Phantomskinz has the best overall feel of any one of them. This full body ultra clear gives the phone an amazing grip and it also gives it this glass like smooth feeling. I paid to upgrade my shipping speed since they just released it on Friday and I am glad I did! This is a wet install process so you need to take your time and wait over night for the bubbles to go away. I love this screen protector because I can keep the natural beauty of the phone with the amazing protection this skin offers. I showed my wife and she could not even tell the full body screen protector was on the phone, lol.
I tested my phantomskinz with the fingerprint lock screen and the SPen and everything worked flawlessly. To all those who bought this Phantomskinz, I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine. I attached are some pics… Came out Awesome! Highly recommend!

Where did you buy?

I got mine at phantomskinz.com

One question, I have used skinomi protectors in past devices, and my only complait is that the spen leaves marks that last for some days, does this skin you are talking about is better at this?

I believe what you just said is one of the main reasons why phantomskinz is much better than skinomi and I have used skinomi as well. There are no s pen marks with phantomskinz.

Hi stu5797,
Thanks for the nice review of our Ultra Clear skin. Looks like you did a GREAT job with the installation :good::good:

As stu5797 suggested, our product is pretty unique in the self-healing skinz marking in that it don't get impressions from styluses with normal use. Of course if you push really hard or intentionally try to damage the skin, you can. We will actually be posting a video on our YouTube channel later today showing S-Pen use on the Note 10+ and the lack of impressions. Let us know if you have any further questions

Just saw your video and gave it a thumbs up! I am really enjoying your product! So cool to have the full body protection and so smooth! Thanks so much.
If you would like I can post my review on the Note 10 Forum...

Just wanted to follow up and let everyone know a week has gone by and the skin is still perfect. Really love how the s pen works with the skin and the overall protection it gives my new Note 10.

Just ordered the case friendly ultra clear screen protectors. Hoping they live up to expectations

Awesome. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine!

Pretty cool huh mys3?

did you have to remove samsung screen protector that comes with it...??

Yes, you have to remove the samsung screen protector in order to put this phantomskimz on there. If you think you like the Samsung screen protector you are going to love the new one. It's night and day

Thanks for your recommendation. I originally bought slickrwraps and boy was that a mistake. It was very hard to work with and both films I got went into the trash. I've done wet application before and prefer it over dry so I thought it was going to be easy. But Nope.
I really like this phantomskinz. It was so much easier to apply cause of the plastic film on top of the actual skin. I was able to squeeze most of the water out cause of it and made it easier to align and reposition. It's about 98% as smooth as the glass but I do like it better that way as it makes the fingerprint reader work better since my thumb isn't slipping on the scanner. Scanner works so much better with this on. I got the case friendly version and the screen protector does not get in the way of my spigen hybrid S case. The back skin is still ege to edge which is good. The bottom skin doesn't fully cover though cause of the spen. But I'm fine with that. I've already recommended it to a friend. Thanks again.

Just placed a order for my Note 10 Plus.
Hope it's much better then the slickwrap skin.

I definitely think you will find your phantomskinz is superior to slick wraps.

Are the top and bottom panels of the phone covered like the speaker grills, etc?

If I have whitestone dome, can I get the back protection only?

I'm using Slickwraps matte back with the Phantomskinz only on the screen ... Install came out perfect [emoji108].. I'm just not happy with the smudges on the protector .. I feel it's more than the original from Samsung and my screen naked ...
Note10+

Bought the clear full body case friendly one. I hope when the bubble settles, the surface is going to feel smooth. It says supposely no orange peel effect at all.

Which screen protector are u using?

Hi folks!
I just checked out ebay and other sources and discovered that a lot of new products for protecting your babies screen hit the market since Brando's Ultra Clear for my Kaiser
I found liquid products, silicone coatings, lotus effect stuff, several new brands, solutions for just the screen or the whole Touch Pro...
Are u using the shipped screen protector or anything else?
Brando, as with any other device.
i'm just using the screen protector that came with the phone...don't really see a reason to use another kind

When it wears out, get a Brando or Martin Fields. You will notice a difference.
Martin Fields
which one from brando should I take:
-original
-ultra clear
Exim screen protector... le deluxe! I've been using this brand forever. I don't feel like putting a $5 protector on a once $1050 but now $850 phone.
Take UltraClear, they're better for Touch Pro.
Wich one doesn't smudge as much as the regular one delivered with the device? Or is it just me having greasy fingers?
I have UltraClear and the smudges are all over the screen, I think I'll have to get used to it.
I only use Boxwave. They're the best.
According to this review, they're better than Brando.

I've got one on my Digital Rebel and Nintendo DS. Love them.
wat bout invisible shield any1 use it on ur touch pro
my major problem now is the screen protector that given by htc after a few day of using it has some scratches on the screen protector =/

Hmm, a review dating back to 2003, is getting to be a bit old now, don't you think?
I've ordered a Brando one, I've yet to set it.
Not really. We're not dealing with statistics here. Have plastic and adhesive technology changed so much in 5 years?
I've read reviews on the Brando and I've personally used Boxwave.
I'm sure I could find other reviews with different search terms, but it would do little good since you already ordered.
Anyway, no intarweb review is going to tip your mind. Better to just order them and try them out.
I have not received my Touch Pro yet, but I bought a box wave....I've used all except for Brando and I can say for me Box Wave have performed the best so far.
I'm using the Brando Ultra clear.
+It's extremely easy to apply without air pockets underneath.
-It's very fragile and withing a week I have 2 scratches in the screen protector
The screen protector you get with the Touch Pro is a lot less fragile but very crappy when it comes to applying it.
just ordered a box wave so I will report back and let you guys know how I like it. I got the crystal not the anti glare.
Using Exim SPUC Screen Protector since a few days and like it, quality is good, there's even a part to protect the bottom buttons
Just got the antiglare from Brando and applied it. I don't know but it doesnt seem easy for me to apply it properly.
I'll rest now and if I can, share photo of how it looks tomorrow.
Just installed a Boxwave anti-glare protector. The jury is still out for me on the portion that covers the keypad below the screen as it does interfere somewhat with the smoothness of the d-pad and center butten, but I do like the screen protector itself. It is definitely not fingerprint proof like advertised, but I do notice a reduction in glare as well as, more importantly, a good increase in touch sensitivity over the stock unit that came with the device.
I also ordered a crystal version that I have not yet installed.

Anybody Buy The TMO 'Sreen Protector'???

just wondering how many people bought the official TMO US screen protectors for the hd2? they came in a two pack for $14.99 (!!!), but i figured screw it and bought them, that way my fiance and i could have "protected screen." i put them on immediately, even before turning it on. seemed ok, not the clearest material used, made the screen sorta frosted looking.
anyways, after a month the two bottom corners never laid pergectly flush on mine and dust way getting between the uplifted areas of the cover and the screen. so i decided to peel it off and go naked without a protector.
so far i am liking it WAY better. screen seems way more crisp and clear. and the accuracy for Swype is MUCH better. not nearly as many typing errors. only downside is that you finger needs to be pretty dry, otherwise it doesn't glide to well.
just seeing what other users are thinking about it?
i'm doubtful that i will be replacing the cover
As with many things in life, it's always "better" to not use protection! However it's not as safe... I also DO NOT use a screen protector, my girl friend does and I notice the difference when having to use her phone.
I tried my phone for the first 2 days without a screen protector and almost always had to rub my finger on my shirt first so it can glide on the screen. And the smudges were a lot. I guess my fingers leak oil .
After 2 days, I put on a screen protector and its been fine for now. The screen did look a lot better without it.

ya, the shirts and pants come in handy.
i saw this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcEaehKWr2s) a long time before the US release, so i'm not TOO worried about 'protection'....^^^ in more ways than one (lol)
Screen protector
I bought this and the screen protector was perfect...the screen looks the same and swype works really well! The wall charger was garbage...made my phone wig out. But the car charger extra case and screen protector are TOPS!

"the screen protector also comes with an installation squeegee, a bottle of application solution" makes me nervous, but it looks like it would be good
I've read 2 stories on this forum where members have tried the "wet application" of screen protector and they ended up with water under their glass. The solution I read was to place the HD2 in Silica Gel or Rice for a week.
I have always put invisible shields by Zagg on my gadgets .
I heard about the rice if you happen to get your phone wet.
Will see how the "application" goes I guess.
The screen is supposedly made out of a virtually indestructible indium tin oxide which is ultra resistant to scratches and scuffs. For this reason I don't use a screen shield. I have probably cleaned my screen with every thing I can wear and its yet to be scratched.
I'm using the T-Mo screen protector. It's okay, but my primary reason for using it is because without it, the naked screen smudges like a mo-fo. When this one wears out, I'll probably go without for a while, but for now, it doesn't bother me.
I had the same cloudy looking protectors from Tmo .. and dust starts getting into it too soon. Then i took it off and wow, I was blinded by the brilliance
of the glass
Then I ordered zagg invisible shield and got it fully covered. Works for me.
MUCH better than tmo ver ..

LOL yes, exactly the reason I'm starting to consider getting one...I love the glass screen, but I have to wipe the damn thing down all the time
I installed that screen protector I mentioned earlier, it was a little different because of the application spray, but it turned out really nice.....no bubbles of any kind and you almost don't notice the protector on it at all

Thanks for the feedback, I think I'm gonna give that one a try (they do have a model for the US Tmo HD2 also)
I use BodyGuardz Full Body on mine and the screen protector that came with it looks like it's not even there.
personally, I would never use a wet application screen protector. there are lots of non we application options out there, so why even bother?
That's what I thought too but decided to try it out....all you have to do is follow the instructions and don't over moisten the protector....I also let it sit face down over night on a small towel.
tmo screen
is a big thumbs up PERIOD worth every penny

hi guys, kindly recommend a i9023 full body screen protector.

hi guys, kindly recommend a i9023 full body screen protector.
I've been looking tru ebay, amazon. but not yet to find a satisfied ones
I love my Bestskinsever skin. $10 for full body. You have to make the solution yourself though.
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA Premium App
I got myself an InvisibleShield from Zagg. It's not easy to install.. the back side of my phone got some bubbles stuck in there. The front side was better though. However sliding your fingers across feels weird... there's always some rubberized layer that you can feel and creates traction sometimes. Then it gets a bit sticky and if you leave your phone on a glass surface for example, when you pick it up you can feel that it's unsticking from the table. And then you've got an orange peel effect on the screen. Moreover the shield collects finger prints and dust around the key holes but hey... at least you've got peace of mind about your screen not getting scratched. I for one, can live with the above mentioned issues besides at night it looks great... only by day you can see better the imperfections but still you don't have problems with the screen being reflective by day.. you can see well what's going on.
I always get zagg and let best buy put it on. I've tried many times. I've tried doing it the way they do but it still looks like **** when I'm done. They do a much better job than I ever would. I let a sprint employee put one of theirs on once. They did a ****ty job on it. I tried doing that myself at home, taking a long time to try and cut the plastic to be the exact size as the screen. I failed miserably when putting it on and getting all the air pockets out. Get a zagg at best buy and pay them to put it on. Don't mess with the screen or put a case on it for at least a couple hours. Overnight is better. I didn't do that once and every time I put the phone in my pocket, the heat would make the zagg slide on the screen. After that I give it a few hours to dry and set. No problems now. That's why they they say to not roll down your windows for 24 to 48 hours after you get tint put on a car. The liquid needs to dry and the adhesive needs to set properly.
I'd have to recommend the ZAGG as well. I always buy from ZAGG.com that way if anything goes wrong the warranty/replacement is easy, plus it's usually cheaper. There's also a technique called palming with helps a lot with getting the corners to stick, they even have a video on it.
I use Steinheil Ultra Optics. I love the matte feel to the screen and it reduces glare. Also it doesn't yellow!
Hey i bought Steinheil Ultra Optics and kind of disappointed with it. It's not fitting into my i9023.....
Pros
- no finger print.
- good feel on sliding e screen with my finger
cons
- no warranty
- doesnt fit. protector too small!
- too expensive for a ****ty protector w/o warranty.
I will not recommend Steinheil Ultra Optics!
Who has a satisfied screen/full body protector for i9023 plz recommend..haha
I bought ghost armor ones for my nexus s and the wifes iphone 4. Followed the directions and did the iphone first. It looked like ****. Took it off and decided not to do my nexus. Will probably return them, and just be careful with the phone.

[Q] Anti Screen glare

Hi,
I have had my Acer A500 for a couple of weeks and now the sunshine has appeared, and when i am outside I have major problems seeing my screen.
Is there any thing I can use to counteract this?
I have searched the forums and there seems to be answrs for other tablets, dont really know if the same answers will work for me.
Any help will be greatfully received
there are some anti-glare screen protectors for sale on ebay. I have not tried any of those yet because shipping to Mexico is kind of painful, but looks promising.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Anti-Glare-Scre...?pt=US_Tablet_Accessories&hash=item2a12766180
Here is my post from another thread on the same topic:
I picked up an anti-glare one made for the xoom from handhelditems.com (store brand). Cost <$7 shipped. Had to cut a hole for the camera and trim it a little, but for the price, I am happy.
Pixelation is noticable, but you get used to it. Haven't had to wipe fingerprints since.
A tip for install: Make sure it is CLEAN first (obvious), but if a little something gets under, peel it back up and use scotch tape to get it off the sticky. Using this trick, my protector went on perfect.

When i am outside, i turn screen brightness from auto to manual, full brightness. Itdoes not eliminate the problem but it is greatly reduced.

This is a great product. The screen protector fits great, and there is a cutout for the camera. The screen protector reduces glare and fingerprint smudges alot.
I also found it easy to install, and the best thing was that I was able to salvage the install when I initially installed it crooked.
I normally use SGP protectors, but if you jack up one of those and try to peel it back to fix it, you might as well throw it away.
With this i just used scotch tape to peel it back, and reapplied. No bubbles or dust particles. It looks great and it gives the tab a very nice smooth feel.

I am also another happy camper with that. I did not like the feeling of the original screen (it did not glide well?), with the protector it is a lot better. Althoug it reduces the screen sharpness a bit, which is true for all anti-glare protectors.

I just installed the screen protector from POSRUS (Available on Amazon.com). Works great to kill the glare. The Zagg protector is not really anti-glare.

I have this one too and it really is a great product, except for a little pixelation that I'm not used to yet...
There's another great brand where I often buy screen protectors from: www.brando.com.
I agree with the rest, the POSRus protector is very nice. It's elimated probably 85% of the glare and made the surface a little nicer on the fingertips, they seem to glide across it better. Another good thing is that it goes in dry, some of the others I saw on amazon were like window tint, requiring soapy water on the screen. These are much more forgiving when applying. Just be diligent in getting -all- the dust and hair off the screen right before you put it on and only peel back as much off the red tab layer as you need while applying from corner to corner.

Screen protector....yes or no?

As the title,i would like to know guys who is using a screen protector or not....and if it is essential for this phone.....
Thanks a lot guys
I am not, I find that they kinder the visibility and touch sensitivity of the phone. I honestly do not generally keep devices long enough to worry about scratches and if they get bad enough I have premium care for that... The bit of extra money for a claim compared to a good protector is worth being able to use the expensive device in all of its glory!
I have always been against it but I scratched my screen while climbing a few rocks. Really wish I had a screen protector. For daily use, its not needed just while doing stuff like climbing mountains or something.
I use a film screen protector on the S8+. On previous phones I've used tempered glass. I want to prevent the micro scratches that come from keeping the phone in my pocket and the protectors do a good job in that regard.
I always use ScreenKnight. from S6 on. due to curved screen... all the glass one are ****.
and it is great. you don't even see it, and less fingerprints.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ScreenKni...039023&hash=item25db67462c:g:H1oAAOSwc-tY32eU
I have recently bought this phone, awaiting for Clear View case and not bothering for a screen protector. I have a wonderful experience with my old good Galaxy S1 (Vibrant), both my kids grew with it, never used a screen protector and it's still in excellent state (use it as back up phone and as hotspot)! Before S8, including these days until I get the cover, I had LG G2 which has an incomparable lower quality display, already 2 times broken. I hope the new S8 display (which is gorgeous, no doubt) is as resistant as the one of the first Samsung's flagships.

At the moment I don't, but could get matte screen protector in the future as I don't like to see fingerprints on the screen. Normally if you don't drop your devices, then screen protector isn't needed. Manufacturers want us to believe it is essential just to make money. The sad thing is that if phone costs that much, can't the OEM just include a nice case, screen protector so the customer would be protected from day one?!
Throwing in my experience here, I just went to the Geek Squad section in best buy and they printed and cut out a custom screen protector for my s8+ and it's been doing great since (Like..6 hours ago heh). Got a VRS High pro shield on it as well.
