I have the 3GB Redmi Note 8T and it's fine but I would like to Root it so I can freeze apps when not in use. I think the 4gb / 64GB model would have been better but the price difference was huge on Amazon.

I have the 3/32 version. 3 GB RAM is enough for everything for me, multitasking is smooth.

Just tried Taskbar from Google Play and listened to a podcast with freeform windows while on another app, not possible before this. No 2nd space, just this app. Almost Windows-like multitasking Nice!!

3gb, or 4gb depending on your version. I think it's more than enough for daily use, and for some light gaming.
