Help me find a suitable twrp version for global mi 9t - Redmi K20 / Xiaomi Mi 9T Questions & Answers

Hey guys Hope your all good
I have bought a new mi 9t the global one( MIUI Global 10.3.11) (PFJMIXM) and I am not sure right now which version is suitable. I have already read those multiple threads about the twrp
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-9t/how-to/twrp-versions-xiaomi-mi-9t-t3955946/page7
, but still not sure which one is suitable.(knowing that I know how to unlock the bootloader)
Plus I need a way to get back to the original MIUI if anything bad happens such as soft bricking the device.
Any way thanks in advance for your help.:good:

though I'd suggest you the 4pda twrp since probably most of the users use it, one user reported an issue with restoring backups as you're mentioning it in your question. but you can use fastboot or miflash tool to return to your original factory rom whenever you desire that.

Hello
Sorry for my English, I have the same mi 9t the global one (MIUI Global 10.3.11) (PFJMIXM) and twrp from 4PDA and Magisk. everything works great, no problems. Installation is very easy, there is a manual in the zip file from 4PDA, one click and it installs itself I recommend

[info] recent roms in the x501 model dont work

hi guys. im writing this, after a day saying in the recent roms threads, rr nougat, lineage nougat and aicp that none of this roms boot in the x501 model. no info about this has been wrote in the op to inform users about this. so if you have x501, dont flash this or, if you dont have a backup, you will have a soft bricked device.
cheers

What error are you getting? are you on latest TWRP (3.1.0) and MM bootloader?
Ive tried 3.1 and 3.03. They just get stuck in bootanimation. Im currently in lollipop eui. Do we need to flash a MM eui ROM first in order to get the bootloader? Por can o flash the bootloader separatedly?

If you have the original zip, from le.com, you can modify the updater-script in it to make it for x3, instead of x3_hk

I think you did something wrong in the process to get your phone bricked(I assume its a soft brick).
Now you need to reflash a working rom

What's the deal with this - is it safe?
What is the difference between this and xiaomi.eu rom? Does it have less bloat than china version?
Then also this is a TWRP ROM,
Are original ROMs TWRP?
Its actually funny lol, I posted the link to the global rom first.

I think that you can't go from china to global (and vice versa) with recovery rom (which that is). You need fastboot one flashing with mi flash tool.
For all those who want to install global rom with a working modem (for calls and cellular, internet etc.) please follow the guide: here
if you dont have Anti-rollback yet: Instead of installing 9.6.12.0 install 9.6.11.0

English sealed box with "Global Version" sticker, European style charger plug, locked bootloader, running Global OEDMIFD MIUI.
If that's your phone then yes, you can flash it with stock Xiaomi recovery either via System update > Chose package from storage or in recovery(see this).
BTW no ARB on 9.6.6.0.
What should I do to install global Rom if I have a Chinese original Rom? Any instructions please.

I will try on xiaomi.eu rom and see how it goes.
Couple of questions :
1) I have finished setup of MIUI Gloabl ROM after installation via fastboot, added xiaomi account and added PIN screen lock.
Only after that I flashed TWRP and flashed Magisk (TWRP ask for PIN in order to decrypt partition), at that point I got bootloop.
I have done only wipe cache/dalvik, do you think a complete wipe is necessary ?
2) Can you tell me the exact steps you've taken if you don't mind ?
3) Is it possible to remove xiaomi account and then factory reset the phone ? (I am asking cause after I flashed via fastboot first thing I had to do was to insert xiaomi account password)
Thanks a lot mate!
Cheers, in case you need more information, check the unofficial Twrp thread. There are some easy how-to s, with every step and sources listed.
Is advise using eu-rom if possible. It seems quicker

Thanks, currently running xiaomi.eu as daily driver, all working fine so far.
Only two big issues:
1 Android auto not working
2 Google pay not working
Both hopefully will be solved with future releases of the ROM.

Tried Google Pay with the Global ROM (not rooted) and it didn't work either. The payment terminal in the store just said that the card is not readable. Anybody here who successfully paid with Google Pay and the K20 pro or the Mi9T?

Safe to use Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot tools to lock bootloader

Just asking of curiosity after I saw it in the program today.

If you are going to Flash stock global ROM, just use MIFlashTool from miui site, it will clear and lock the device as default. You will need just the Fastboot Rom, and you will find it in the same site.

Install pixel experience for redmi note 7 lavender

Solving the problem with OTA update and installing pixel experience firmware on redmi note 7 Somehow I wanted to install this firmware myself. I downloaded it from the official site for my model, installed twrp, start flashing it and get an error. I googled the problem, it turned out to be necessary to delete the lines in the updater-script file up to the lines that begin with ui_print ... I deleted them, and the firmware was installed as native. Then the April update came, I click install, and it just reboots into twrp and that's it, I googled the problem, I need to install the stock recovery, it didn't help (. I tried to install the update manually, but I got the same error as when installing the firmware on clean. there are those lines in the update file. And in order to install this update, they need to be deleted. And in the conditions of twrp, this, as I understand it, is not possible. On the forums, people write that they have the firmware installed without removing these lines. And it is automatically installed in twrp Help ...

Not firmware the right name is for pixel experience ROM and the firmware from the link above.
So first from the link above, maybe the right for you or the last chinese and then the ROM from experience. Rom is different then firmware. Thanks translator
Firmware vs software: What's the difference?
The differences between firmware vs software aren't immediately obvious, but there are some important distinctions worth knowing.
