Questionable Downgrade Method

I'm currently on 98.30.1 on my Razr M with a locked bootloader. I was wondering if it is possible to restore a backup from another Razr M that backed up and earlier firmware using safestrap. I'm having terrible battery issues with the latest OTA. I had better battery life with 98.12.4 and was curious if this was possible.

No. Your kernel is locked (boot.img). But once you have a ss backup of your virgin sys (for a fall back when kk comes). Start disabling apps from settings/apps. There is a list of good to remove apps in the 926 forum.

What recovery do you have original or custom such as TWRP.

Then you can update the firmware again by putting dload folder in sdcard. After it updates your phone will unroot. By the way never uae kingroot. Kingroot is a sh*t app that will create problems in your phone.

For kingroot you don't need to unlock the bootloader. However I do not recommend anyone to use kingroot.

I thought Huawei sell their phones off contract. By the way you can contact your operator so that they can install Vodafone EMUI. Even if you install firmware you still will be able to use your network. For apps download them from play store.

The "nandroid" (not nandroid really but img files), are for recover the /system and /data without turn off the phone using RohesoftDriveExpert
This app mounts created images, and reflashes the created images WITHOUT turn off the phone.

First you to go back to Stock Pb1 Rom
Download PB1 stock firmware and flash in Odin.
---------- Post added at 09:46 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:44 PM ----------
Also check your CID in order to unlock your bootloader.
---------- Post added at 09:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:46 PM ----------
MARSHMALLOW 6.0.1 CANNOT BE ROOTED you have will have to back to lollipop and start root procedure.
Intall this app to check your CID if its start with 15
Then you can unlock your bootloader and possibly root on 6.0.1

Unfortunately you cannot unlock your bootloader.
You have to go back to lollipop then root and then install 6.0 Marshmallow.
---------- Post added at 05:44 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:41 PM ----------
First download vzw lollipop PB1 stock rom.
You can search in xda for download link
Is this method still working if so my cid is 15
6.0.1 can be rooted and if you are going to odin flash lollipop why? Flash twrp in odin mode then flash supersu zip through twrp. Boom rooted then can flash any rom you want. Easy I've rooted every phone this way. Simple
