Fingerprint Scanners friendly Glass Sreen Protector ? - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Accessories

The Protector I use on Note 9, Techmatte amFilm, says will not allow fingerprint to be used.

I pre ordered Skinomi film. Works on the S10 fingerprint sensor, so its good for this as well.

is it Samsung Galaxy Note 10 comes with Screen Protector pre-installed ?

The new Whitestone Dome specifically states it works with the ultrasonic fingerprint reader.
Had the Whitestone Dome on my Note 8 and absolutely loved it.

Spoke to local samsung shop, pre installed is plastic film.

You will find many now. Hv used gadgetshieldz screen protector on my S10+. Worked perfectly with the Ultra sonic fingerprint scanner. Saw them taking pre-orders for Note 10 plus screen protector. Might be useful.
https://www.gadgetshieldz.com/galaxy-note-10-plus-screen-protector.html

Anyone has experience with Olixar glass protector? Can't find it on Amazon. One interesting note is that ESR has a screen protector for Note 10, but not compatible with the ultrasonic fingerprint. What is that for if not compatible?

It will come with a thin film protector pre installed (same as s10) but it's pretty much good only against scratches. Best bet for a glass is probably the whitestone dome. Already a video YouTube for note 10 and fingerprint sensor works flawlessly

I think the problem whit PET or plastic films is that leave marks made by S-Pen and that's why i think tempered glass is better solution than PET one

It looks like the following will be introducing 2 fingerprint friendly TGSPs for the Galaxy Note 10 and I would assume Galaxy Note 10+ at some point in the near future:

I asked a UK dealer what was available, was offered this with a fingerprint scanner cutout!

Anyone knows how is the review of Whitestone on s10 or s10+? Last heard couple of months back that they are not very good with the fingerprint detection with whitestone. But I see from the site itself that they claim that they are the only certified ones that works well with the fingerprint sensor.
I am hoping that it will be good for note10+ .

I temporarily took leave of my senses and allowed a Zagg kiosk tender to talk me into their plastic Ultraguard after he promised a free upgrade to their glass protector as soon as it comes out. I will probably rip this plastic one off before then because it ruins the feel of the phone screen for me and leaves S pen imprints.

ZAGG plastic protectors are the worst. They ruin the look, they ruin the feel, you can't really use the spen.
I order a pair of IVSO glass protectors, will put on today and see if FP works

ok so I just put the IVSO tempered glass on, I can't recommend it. To enable FP sensor the have a "thinned"? circle on the inner surface. It is VERY obvious when the screen is off and still visible when on. The FP sensor does "work" but you have to retrain it and it's very difficult to get it trained.
I will leave it on until I find something better
I' really annoyed at myself for not reading the reviews on all the glass protectors before pulling off the one that came from samsung. Apparently they all do the same thing and what's with the stupid black strip that covers the display, looks like they all do this too? I guess I'll go back to something like what came with the phone.

stuck the Whitestone on mine, followed the install to the letter, fingerprint scanner works better than I've had with the back of the phone fingerprint scanners. maybe about 1 in 10 I get a press harder or cover the whole sensor error when using the scanner, I also setup the fingerprint using the factory fitted screen protector and not the glass one, so it reads the fingerprint the same as the factory fit one it seems.
the whitestone does work, but there is very little margin for error in the install, basically you need to get the glue into a circle to have any hope of it working, then make sure you give the glue time to spread. so I can confirmed installed correctly the whitestone works flawlessly, just make sure you take your time and are 100% sure you know what you are doing before starting. probably better to take a bit longer to install and have a working scanner than something easy to throw on but a faulty scanner.

the black strip is where they hide the glue as they only glue on the edge and create an air gap behind the screen protector that's why they don't work with the scanner, it's why the likes of the whitestone doesn't have the black bars as they use liquid adhesive that bonds across the entire screen protector making a 100% solid air free bond between the phone and protector, so stuff like the sonic sensor can pass through, also likely why they use a weight along the line of the fingerprint scanner and actually line up the glue with the scanner on install to make sure it is 100% connected through.

[Question] What is a good brand of tempered glass that works and effective?

So the question is probably familiar from past phones from Sammy such as Note8 or S8/s8+ lol... The consensus from previous reads on XDA and reddit seems to be Whitestone Dome but a lot also gave negative reviews of it due it either lose touch response, or peeling off too easy. I had purchased a full adhesive from aliexpress for my Note8 but could not really use it since I sold the phone to get the S9+ . Anyone has any good recommendation for a tempered glass based on the brands they got for their previous Sammy? I mean recommendation as in, they dropped the phone with it on, like on the corners and the screen survived even though the glass shattered? Case would be great too, as I have a Supcase on the way. Thanks!!
Not the Whitestone then? I was almost about to pull the trigger on getting one for the S9+ but I'm hesitant now.
I've been using Whitestone for myself and my kids, although it has it's fragilities (cold, an snow can alter it) its the best i've tried. I've already ordered mine for the S9+... If i were you get a couple... just in case. As once you've tested it, you won't go back on the side glued ones. You just need to glue it well, and don't be in a hurry.
I've never had issues with touch sensitivity or peeling off (that's even nuts as it's literally glued to the screen, if you break the dome and need to peel it off you should be careful as it's glued it shatters and pieces can jump).
There may be another option now and as upset as I was with the first interation of Zagg's tempered glass screen protector for the s8+, they have come out with the glass curve elite. https://www.zagg.com/us/en_us/invisibleshield/glass-curve-elite-samsung-galaxy-s9-plus/ They say that it has full adhesion. So if it actually works well they supply a lifetime warranty. It is 49.99 so it's expensive but I'm going to give it a shot.
Whitestone was great but with a long installation process, I went for it twice, I'm going to (no offense) pass on Whitestone for my s9+. If there was a tempered glass product for curved screens that was as easy to install as a flat screen tempered glass screen protector, and like a conventional screen protector has good full glass adhesion I'm going to go for that option.
I have tried almost 5 brands but still did not get satisfactory result.
Just pre ordered the white stone. It was the best on the note 8.
Upgrading from two S7 edge to two S9+ (already pre-ordered) I never tried tempered glass on my smartphones because I found them a little too expensive to justify given that I have to buy two glass protectors. The OTAO 3D glass protector looked to be an "inexpensive" way to give tempered glass a try, but someone on the S9 thread about Screen Protectors complained about the OTAO falling off his phone whenever he took it out of his pocket. Some folks have also mentioned that this protector doesn't fully cover the curve edge which makes it "case friendly", but this also make it less appealing. These two negative findings put some doubt in my mind about ordering this specific protector for now. Folks using the S8+ have given this protector a "good" review on Amazon. But I also don't know if most of these reviews are for the "old" version or for the "Updated" version on this protector for the S8+. If there's someone here that has used the "Updated" OTAO protector on a Galaxy phone with a curved screen (preferably the S8+)... can you tell us about your experience? I guessthe "Updated" version is the one being used for the S9+.
I have used Zagg's Invisible HD shields on all my smartphones. I found them to be durable and compatible with many cases. Including cases for the S7 edge.Installing them is a little complex and you need to get it right the first time in order to avoid bubbles and the edges from lifting. I had to return the one that I installed on my wife's S7 edge once because a corner kept lifting and getting dust under it. All I had to do was return the old one and they send me a new one. Once I installed the replacement correctly, it has stayed on her phone for over a year without any issues. I'm waiting for it to be available in Amazon as they're usually discounted. The Zagg website indicates that they're sold out of their Invisible HD shield for the S9+

OTAO have two versions, a case-friendly one, which has to leave a couple of areas exposed for the case to fit, and a full cover one. I have had the case friendly one on my S8 and been very pleased with it. Never popped off. One person complaining his came off should not be taken to be evidence that there is something inherently wrong. There could be two reasons - either his was slightly faulty with not enough glue - no company has 100% quality control - or maybe he didn't press it on hard enough when he fitted it.
I've had two. The first one cracked when I dropped the phone on a marble floor but the phone screen was unmarked. Even though it cracked, it did not pop off. The edges still stuck. The second one is still on the phone.

Thanks for your reply... The complains put "some doubt" in my mind about the protector, I had not concluded that there was something inherently wrong with the OTAO. I posted here because I wanted to hear comments from other folks before I made my decision.
I didn't know that OTAO also made a protector that fully covers the screen, but after you mentioned it... I searched further and also found the OTAO Full Screen Coverage - Double Strong 3D in Amazon. At the same $12 price as the Case Friendly. At this price point, I might get one of each and test them with the case I'm going to use. I'm looking for a slim TPU cases from Spigen, EasyAcc, ESR and Caseologic. Currently, I use a Ringke Slim case with my S7 edge, but given the larger screen size of the S9+; I'd like a more protective setup. What case are you using on your S8 with the OTAO case friendly protector?... Thanks again.

What version of the OTAO are you using on your Note 8 [Case Friendly] or [Full Screen Coverage]? Are you using the "Updated" version that I believe has "full-adhesive"? Are you also using a case and if so... which one?

I'll be working on a buyers guide today and tomorrow it will be on my channel.. In the mean time I posted a thread about a 10 dollar dome glass copy from the supplying factory and their are a few full adhesive glass protectors I'm tested.. All the others are the same generic ones just like the S8/N8

Screen Protector options

I'm just jumping from the Moto x4 to S9 Plus
My protector option is one from the ************. I really love to have my S9Plus away from the scratches. As I'm having previous experience with the ************so I'm suggesting to get one from them.
They started shipping but I didn't got mine. Have you bought one from them and received it??
I bought the one from BigBen. Fit perfectly. No problem after 1 week. Just improve screen sensitivity.
I just installed the Whitestone Dome Glass on my S9+. Very easy to install and looks great so far. It doesn't seem to be compatible with the Spigen case I bought though, particularly the lower portion, I'm going to let the glue cure a bit longer and try it again.
UPDATE: I had the dome glass installed just a bit too low on the screen. I removed the glass and adhesive, then reinstalled and made sure the dome glass was correctly centered on the screen. Works great with the case now. Highly recommend this.
Bodyguardz is a more expensive option, but lifetime warrenty. I want to say it's about 10 bucks shipping for the warrenty replacements. I got mine at AT&T when I got my s9 plus yesterday. They installed it for me but it comes with a guide thingy like the Whitestone one.

I bought one too, and concur. Fingerprint magnet, and ruins sensitivity. You have to turn on increase sensitivity in the advanced settings, and still it's a bit wonky.

Amazon.com link above. $9.00
Got this on Amazon.ca for under $15 CAD, it's curved, applied with zero bubbles and it works really good after raising the screen sensitivity.
Just installed the whitestone dome, I simply couldn't be more impressed. Make sure you watch the installation video a couple of times before applying… but it is hands down the only protector i will be buying from now on for all of my devices.

Otao case friendly
I got the Otao case friendly version for the S9 Plus from Amazon.com (ASIN: B07BSFLLKY). Rather than give a separate review here, this is what I have added as my review on Amazon. I hope this is allowed.
I had the Otao on my S8 and was very happy with it. On one occasion I dropped my phone. The screen protector cracked, which is what you would expect from a glass screen protector, but it saved the screen of my phone.
I was a bit wary when I read the first reviews of the S9 Plus version (which had a different ASIN number) but then I heard they were updating it. They reached out to me to offer me to try the new one (free of charge) which I just received. The main complaint about the previous version was not enough glue on the edges (it is edge only sticking) but the new version apparently has more glue and it certainly has stuck well on my S9 Plus. Obviously, the proof of the pudding will be it it still sticks well after it has been on a while and I will update my review if it develops a problem.
The installation tray makes it very easy to instal.
I am using it with a Spigen Neo Hybrid case and they fit together very well.
As I said, I did not have to pay for the protector but this review is my honest opinion and, if I did not like it, I would have said so.
Just to add - the packaging recommends turning on the touch sensitivity setting in Settings but so far I haven't found that necessary.

Does the glue cover entire surface of the screen or only the edges?
I’m looking for one that covers the entire screen most I’ve seen only covers partial off the top and bottom so it still looks like there’s a screen protector. I need fill coverage from top to bottom.
Another vote for the whitestone dome!
I've tried several tempered glass screen protectors since the S6+, and they all suck because the adhesive has trouble sticking to the edges so the sensitivity is terrible. The dome is the first I've used that I'm legitimately happy with.
The installation process is really intimidating at first because the process is different from your typical screen protector. But once you do it once and get the technique down, it's actually pretty fool-proof. The tray basically ensures that the alignment is perfect and adheres well. I happened to screw up the first time because my table wasn't fully level and the adhesive didn't disperse evenly and I got a tiny bubble...so don't take that little detail for granted. Luckily they give you two bottles of adhesive, and when I moved to a level counter and put it on a second time the adhesive spread perfectly on its own and it was really easy.

I'm currently rocking the zagg glassfusion. Its actually a plastic screen protector that I can honestly say takes a impact and have had no issues with touch sensitivity nor the fingerprint scanner. My only complaint is that it's not a completely clear protector as it has a black rim that goes around it. And the front facing camera is not covered instead I now have a black ring around where the camera sits. Otherwise great protector. I'm a traveling service tech. And my clipboard sliding forward and landing on my note 8 was eventually the demise of it with a total of three impacts to screen.... so far this glassfusion has taken two hard impacts from said clipboard. Without even a scratch....love the protector they just need it to be completely clear.

I was on a trip to Asia last month. Not sure where you are located in the world, but this is where I got mine from:

This is the only tempered glass I use which fingerprints actually works. Hope it helps.

Whitestone has been near prefect so far using Supcase Unicorn Beetle pro I had to slightly file down the top corners of the case to prevent glass pulling up
Been using mine for 5 months now without a screen protector and not a scratch on it.
I haven't dropped it much though

Better Screen Protectors: amFilm vs. Whitestone Dome

I've purchased (but not used yet) the Whitestone Dome screen protector. I've seen videos of both that and also the amFilm being installed. The only difference I saw was the Whitestone had a "bridge" for holding the adhesive bottle while it empties, while the amFilm offers a fingerprint-size cylindrical weight to place over the fingerprint area to reduce the amount of adhesive between the fingerprint sensor and the screen protector.
I see other brands for curing the adhesive with ultraviolet light have suddenly popped up as well.
Thoughts on which is the best?

My wife has the Whitestone on her note 10+. The fingerprint works fine for her. When I program in my fingerprint it doesn't work well at all. Usually takes 2+ times to unlock it... So I guess it depends on an individuals fingerprint on how well it works... That being said, my wife has already put a hairline crack in the Whitestone. She did the same thing with several Whitestones on her note 8. I have had a Whitestone on my pixel 2xl since it came out and haven't cracked one, while she has cracked 4. My theory is that the adhesive creates a slightly spongy layer under the glass. When the glass is pressed on (like leaning over while in ones tight pockets) , the glass can crack. My wife is an er doctor and is constantly leaning over patients putting pressure on the phone. She always turns the phone towards her leg, so it's not the impact but rather the pressure. My pockets are generally looser and I rarely sit with my phone in my pocket. I assume that is why in almost 2 years I haven't cracked one.
Think they are both similar. ymmv on the fp sensor.
i'd say go with the amfilm because its cheaper and comes with 2.
I love my Whitestone Dome on my Note 10+, but I have to admit, if I had known about the AmFilm, I might've gone that direction instead. 2 for $40 is tempting and the also offer a lifetime warranty on replacements. Just pay S&H. Whitestone charges $9.99 S&H for warranty replacements. I assume AmFilm is similar in cost.
Here's my suggestion, if you can afford to eat the $40. Keep the Whitestone and order the AmFilm.
Install the AmFilm and use it for a week. Test sensitivity, durability, scratch resistance, and most importantly, the FP sensor.
Then after a week, rip it off, and install Whitestone Dome. Run the same test. If you prefer Whitestone, leave it on. If you prefer AmFilm, you still have a spare in the box, so rip off the Whitestone and reinstall AmFilm.
Then post on here your thoughts and feelings and why you chose one over the other.

Thanks for the input. My situation's a little unique. I went all out when buying this phone with a 512GB 5G Version and a 512GB card installed. I have not used a screen protector in years and my phones are always flawless - my Note 8 that I just turned in for the Note 10 looks like it's brand new still. I work in an office and I keep the phone in my front right pants pocket with nothing else ever in that same pocket. I guess I just got the Whitestone dome because I went a little nuts with this phone and I expect it to last more than two versions (I usually slip versions) - maybe the Note 13 if there is going to be such an animal - even so maybe an excuse for wasting my money. Maybe I'll even return it. Long story short the screen protector already on the phone is fine for now for me and if it ever does start to wear, I'll peel it off and then debate longer about whether or not to use the Whitestone. So in my case actually probably a waste of money. The screen protector that comes on the phone actually goes all the way around the camera hole while the Whitestone has a notch on top of it which I don't really like. Call me nuts but that's my situation lol...

Completely understand and agree. The factory installed screen protector is much better than people give it credit for. My wife used it on her S10+ until she finally scratched it up at the beach. Sandy fingers and all that. I replaced hers with the Ringke Dual Easy Film which she loves and I've used in the past. By the way, even though the sand scratched the funk out of her factory screen protector, the glass underneath was perfect.
And I also agree about the notch. It's my only complaint about the tempered glass screen protectors. Ringke Dual Easy Film actually covers the camera, but doesn't affect picture quality. So it's really invisible.
I had use Whitestone Dome Glass for Galaxy Note9 and my current phone, Note10. I didn't have any issue so far and fingerprint works great! and they also provides lifetime warranty for every time that you request.

Ok maybe your wife should not be an ER doctor if she is breaking her whitestone crushing it against patients?
I will say that my wife has cracked all of her whitestone protectors, while I only just cracked the one on my Note 9 after almost a year of being break free. I am a contractor who is constantly in situations where phones get hit or impacted (I do use an Otterbox defender case while at work), she works in an office and yet still seems to be breaking her tempered protectors. often Which is exactly why I put a tempered (whitestone) protector on her phone, because otherwise it would be her display that was getting broken, and since I pay for her and my phones on my VZ account.... I need these expensive phones protected as much as possible.

I love Whitestone Dome and have used them for a long time. My brother just got the Note 10+ and his works great. I have the S10+ and it has been fine for me. I broke mine when I dropped it getting out of my car, but luckily it was just the dome glass and not my screen. The warranty fee of $9.99 is annoying, but it is better than buying a new one. I don't know anything about AM Film, but Whitestone has been around for a long time and I think we are seeing a lot of knock-offs start to come out. I would say use Whitestone because the quality is probably better.
If you shop there website, they usually have some good discounts available. My brother got his for 20% off and when I bought mine it was 30% off.
I was looking into getting the two for my new Note 10 but I heard amFilm only gives one replacement per purchase compared to Whitestone which replaces as many times as you need to. So even if you break or mess up installing your replacement, you're going to have to buy a whole new kit at regular retail cost again.
Honestly, I'm leaning more towards the Whitestone one just because it's only a few bucks more and I've heard it's more reliable than amFilm. Plus the warranty stuff I mentioned lol.
I use whitestone dome. I have since the note 8. It's credible. AmFilm is not.

No they do not leave residue behind. When removed the residue goes stays with the screen protector. Still clean the screen but you won't have any residue behind.
I've had to remove mine and reinstall due to bubbles forming a week after but new one is doing good now.
I have the Whitestone Dome glass.

Depends, especially if you've had it on there for a while, it will leave residue. You'll have to slowly wipe it off with rubbing alcohol.
Hello, i read about squiggles or something, some weird things happening on edges of whitestone dome due to the glue on corners after ~1 or 2 months.
Many of these comments are found on Reddit, while in this topic everyone seems to say whitestone is very good and lasted long for them.
Examples :

Who can i trust? At this price i am expecting a 'flawless' screen protector.
Also, anyone tried protection that are only available with professional installation in shops? Like this kind of stuff :

Some people have a brand loyalty to 'Whitestone', maybe because they haven't tried other UV solutions, but more likely because they've had a positive experience with it.
What you should be aware of is that 'Whitestone' didn't invent the process, however, fair dues to them in that they have refined the process in an effort to make it as easy, foolproof and of course marketable as possible.
If you're a relatively competent person, that doesn't require the peripheral accessories that 'Whitestone' and for that matter, 'Amfilm' provides there are much cheaper, and imho just as effective products out there.
Maybe the thing to do is buy one from 'Ebay', average prices are around £3 -£5, and even cheaper on 'Aliexpress'. See if it works for you, and once you've got the principle of it under your belt, maybe then try one of the more expensive brands if not satisfied with their quality, but in all honesty, they're all just glass and UV glue.

More reason to use the cheaper alternatives, since £3 every 3 months or so isn't such a huge hit, even cheaper than those TGSP with the glue on the edges.
Unfortunately the factory fitted screen protectors are only good for scratch resistance, best drop protection is still glass.

True but also the factory protector gets scratched easily. I use the S View cover and it is horrible, first day it got scratched on the side already and now i get scratches here and there despite being very careful.
It fits the Note so well, i wish i could find the same quality, gloss vibrant protector with no bubbles and that fits all the screen like the factory one.
I would like to try professionally installed protectors (self curing ones) but it seems that they are not really glossy on the videos i have seen.

Cheap Aliexpress Loca Screen Protectors

I ordered a $2.15 LOCA tempered glass screen protector on Aliexpress. Purchased 08/28 and received it today 09/17. I live in San Francisco. Overall the quality of the screen is pretty much the same as the Whitestone. This one doesn't come with the plastic alignment case that the Whitestone comes with, but you get a UV light and single bottle of glue. I used the same procedure as Whitestone but just without the guide. Also you don't get any tapes to protect the USB ports, etc. I just cut some packing tape and covered those up. I did ok, there is a small air bubble at the bottom. I hope it slowly cures over time. My experience with Whitestone is that you don't want to push and squeeze too hard. You can barely notice it when screen is on, but I'm kind of OCD so I ordered another and may swap it.
So if you have experience and can wait (Note 10/10+ comes with a screen protector), save some money. BTW, finger print works just fine.
Aliexpress Link
is that an Spigen tough armor case?
cheers
Same experience. Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. Just tape over the speakers. There are some on ebay for a similar price if you don't like using Ali for some reason.
Whitestone and AMFILM are good if you need to be spoon fed.
*looks at my Whitestone with no bubbles* Hmmm... Maybe being "spoon-fed" isn't so bad.

I had bubble with my first Whitestone. I think having the guide cage helps but if you have experience, it's not necessary. There is just some luck to it.

I've installed quite a few LOCA TGSPs. Some I bought LOCA separate and then bought a TGSP and made my own kit. Worked great, was messy AF to install, cause I had NO idea how much to use, LOL. and they all chipped and cracked in a week or two.
I've also bought some cheaper kits that included the right amount of LOCA and a TGSP. They ended up lifting on the edges. Last one I tried was Note 9.
I wound buying a second used Note 9 that already had Whitestone Dome installed by the previous owner, and I loved it. So when I pre-ordered my Note 10+, I pre-ordered a Whitestone Dome for it. Sucked paying over $40, but honestly, I've spent hundreds in the past trying to find the "perfect" screen protector. Don't regret Whitestone or the money spent at all. And the installation tray made it dead simple. It was worth it to get it right the first time.
If I had to change TGSPs, if go with AmFilm, just because they're also getting great reviews are basically half the price. Or I'd go back to a soft screen protector, the Ringke Dual Easy Film. It's just basically invisible.

Depends on which one you buy the wet install ones typically suck to use with the SPen. The Ringke was awesome. Couldn't tell it was there, even with the SPen. I honestly can't speak highly enough of them. They honestly feel like glass.

Installed it. I like it. It's not glass but very smooth with Spen. The extreme edges has slight lift but very mild. Not sure if you had some tricks to get all the edges to stay down.

I haven't tried one on my N10+, but installed them on my Note 9 and my wife's S10+. Neither one had any issues with the edges lifting at all. I wish I had some tricks to offer, but I just followed the directions.
It's funny, when I installed my wife's Ringke on her S10+ I was showing her the difference between it and the Whitestone Dome tempered glass (which are the time was on my Note 9). I was showing her how glass was smoother than her Ringke protector, but to my surprise, my finger actually glided easier across her Ringke than my Whitestone! Now my Whitestone Dome on that phone was a few months old, so some of the oleophobic coating had probably worn off and her Ringke screen protector was brand new, but I was really shocked and just how smooth it was to the touch.
As far as the lifting edges, two thoughts. One, you didn't get it lined up perfectly so maybe something is a little off? A half millimeter either way could make it uneven. But I don't think thats the issue. Two, perhaps the edges of your phone weren't clean enough and had some residual oils? Or three, you just got a faulty screen protector. If it gets worse, try the second one in the pack. If that fails, reach out to Ringke and they should replace it for free.

The lift is really very minor. Only the most OCD types will mind. Thanks for the rec. I agree how easy it's to glide your finger on it. Finger print also works better.

I installed Whitestone on my N10+, but bought a pack of Ringke as a back up. Crack the Whitestone, I can install the Ringke while waiting on a replacement.
But, I think what I'll do is next paycheck, I'm going to order the AmFilm LOCA screen protector and run a little comparison.
I've used Whitestone for a month now and am pleased, but I do think it made the FP sensor less accurate But I'll remove it and install the Ringke and see how I like it, especially with the fingerprint sensor.
I'll use that for a couple weeks then install the AmFilm tempered glass one and compare it to the others.
It means a waste of $40, but in the name of inaccurate anecdotal science, why not? And if I decide I prefer Whitestone after all, it's just a $10 replacement under warranty to go back to it. I'll post my results in a thread here, maybe with some pictures.
Sorry, I know that had nothing to do with your lifting edges. Just thinking out loud. And by out loud, I mean in silence and just typing it.
The lifting edges of ringke, when I installed on my s10+, I found it best to work them down initially then just wait a while before trying again. I waited around 30 mins to 1hr after fitting it and found they stuck down easily.
I struggled with the 1st protector so discarded it but using the waiting method, the 2nd protector sides stayed down.
If you like the original screen protector you can get OEM quality screen protectors cheap on eBay. You want ones made out of PET which are harder like the OEM ones and not the soft TPU ones that you have to install wet and they dent way too easily. I install the PET ones wet though as you have time to move it around on the screen to get it aligned perfectly and you just push out the solution (I spray purple cleaner on the screen before I install) and any dust is removed when you push out the solution.
Just installed one myself that came from aliexpress. It turned out fine but was a bit disappointed that the glass is curvy on the edges like an s10 rather than being "boxy" so the edges are a bit exposed. Can't be bothered though to buy another one and go through the installation again as it took quite some time to get it done. Fingerprint is working fine, just press the fingerprint area while curing for the first time.

I thought using a wet solution would make the glue not stick anymore for the PET types. Also I was told by Samsung that the stock screen protector is applied with a UV light to cure. So it's like a tempered glass install but a thin plastic type?
