During my work sometimes the screen turns black, except status bar. When I touch the screen, everything is like before. The new update 10.3.10.0 should fix this problem "Screen turns off unexpectedly in some cases", but it still exists.
Do you have the same problem?

I recently bought a xperia and noticed that the screen is flickering when you turn off the automatic adjustment and turn the screen to maximum. Is this normal or should i return it? its very innoying. It's the light in the bottom of the screen that flickers.
I would return it. Mine does not do this, so I wouldnt consider this "normal"

I also recently received my X1. I also note that the light of my screen flickers but only with certain software. It vibrates on the left when loading windows, and on the black bar in touchflo3d between the start menu and the clock ... I can't see if it is a hardware problem and therefore if I should get the guarantee

Just a quick Q to see if anybody else has had this really weird issue. It's happened to me at random[AFAIK] and happened twice. When i'm playing music through the stock music app and press the "Power" button to turn the screen off, for about 2 seconds the phone shows the lockscreen, then everything is RED. That's not to say the whole screen is red, but the lockscreen text and everything is red and then the screen turns off. My lockscreen is the standard lockscreen(the crappy glass effect 1 that you swipe to the side to unlock) so the text at the bottom should be white and the notif bar should be normal, but it's all red.
Like I said, it's happened twice now and I was hoping it wasn't a screen problem!
Stock phone on O2. Latest O2 firmware installed.

Purple in my case - fixed with a reboot. Had a suspicion it was software related, but no evidence...

Flash it with another rom - stock or custom , if it still blinking it will be hardware problem
Hello I have a stock moto x that has never been modified and I am having an odd issue. The screen turns black randomly but the phone still responds to touch and is still functioning. Active display works and will show in screen as well as the lock screen on occasion. The moto splash screen and recovery work ans show up but as soon as the boot animation starts it flickers and turns black. What is the problem. I was planning on reinstalling the firmware and a stock rooted rom to see if that will fix the issue. What could I do?

My Pixel 4 screen remains black, sometimes blinks and sometimes display runs ok. Tapping the screen changed nothing. I did a hard reset but situation remains unchanged. I'm wondering what the issue can be, a defective screen, a faulty motherboard, a faulty contact?
