IN SOME REGION LIKE FRANCE THEY GOT NEW UPDATE WITH SEPTEMBER PATCH BUT .........ASIA STILL STUCK ON MAY AND I HAVE DOUBT THAT BECAUSE OF MY SOFTWARE MODIFIED I WON'T RECEIVE UPDATE IS IT SO OR RETASIA DIDN'T OFFICIALLY GET UPDATE TILL NOW?

Software status - Modified and Bootloader status 2 means your device was unlocked, then reflashed with stock image and relocked, and you have not recieved an OTA yet (that will reset the software status to Official, only way we know how to do it). Note that Bootloader status can never go back to 0, it will always show 2 (relocked) or 3 (unlocked) once it has been unlocked initially.
The Sept security update seems to be a very limited release so far, be patient.
Is there a problem?

But there is no stock image officially available for xt1572 i mean i flashed stock rom from here

No, XT1572_CLARK_RETASIA_DS_6.0_MPHS24.49-18-4_cid7_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip is the current release, you just need to wait for an official OTA update. Sept 1, 2016, security update has started rolling out in Europe over the last 48 hours, expect it in the coming weeks in Asia as well.
Why the urgency to get to official status, it is purely cosmetic.

alright alright thanks but i just was panic that my software was modified so i taught that my moto won't receive any official update.... any way thanks....

Hi guys,
I have received an OTA update for android nougat. I was rooted and have xposed framework. So I have flashed stock firmware so that system status is changed to Official. I have received OTA updates after flashing till January 2017 security patch. After this update, even if i manually check for update, it just says "Your device's software is up to date".
Not able to get OTA for nougat when everyone else in India are receiving it. I received update for the same device when I had root and Xposed. Please help. Currently I'm on stock firmware without root & xposed.
Update:
Received the OTA update again. sharing the link here. Just extracted it from /data partition. Its unmodified.

same issue with me, I received update of security patch 1 january 2017, now it says up to date, installed stock in last week. anyone help :__:

I think Motorola is restricting a device to download the update more than once for now, as everyone are trying to get the update. Let me know if you get the update again. Will do the same if I get it.

I havent downloaded it once even. I still don't get the update. Complete stock since purchase. No modding done

I have downloaded it once, but not able to find it in the cache partition. Then flashed stock firmware and no more update notification for Nougat. Even I'm wondering what really is happening.
Maybe Motorola might be pushing the update randomly. I see that many others are reporting the same issue at XDA. I hope we would get the update in a couple of days.

I have downloaded it and its around 764MB. I have flashed the stock firmware and tried to update it, but my device got updates till Jan 2017 security patch only, nougat update didn't appear second time! Still waiting for the update

I did the same. I used RR ROM almost a month than re-flashed the stock one.
I got the 7.1.1.
What is the build number?

Seems you are using the right version of marshmallow.
What i did was:-
1. Downloaded the ROM from https://github.com/motoxplay/stock. Indian version 5.1.1 (XT1562).
2. Flashed it.
3. Now the ROM was automatically updated to 6.0.1 then 7.1.1.
Just try to download and flash the ROM from here. https://github.com/motoxplay/stock
after flashing 5.1.1 it said device up to date.not working now its Lollipop.
tell me when you got nougat update because after 4 oct 2017 didn't get notification of ota

I have already tried this method. Flashed Indian Official Lollipop firmware and it received OTA updates till Jan 2017 security patch. No more update after that! When did you receive the notification?
I think Motorola has rolled back the OTA due to battery drain and other issues few people reported. Fingers crossed!

I got the update on 4th Oct. Tried it again on 5th, it disappeared!

May be they rolled back the update due to issues.
I got the update on 3rd October 2017.
I don't have any issues but yes Nougat battery is not as much effective than MM.
But its not draining like other people reporting.

Kindly select based on region.
Updates will come based on combination of country & IEMI number.
If you are not from India and flashed the Indian version then it don't update further.
So make sure while flashing the ROM.
After flash check, should have stock recovery and ROM than only you will get the same.
Guys! I have received the OTA update today again. Not sure where to capture the OTA. Last time I didn't find it in Cache partition. This time I was able to pull the OTA zip file from data partition. Will upload it this evening if anyone wants the OTA zip file.

I try to install Oreo Beta 2 and it says older time stamp and degrade is unavailable. I researched a bit and found that I need to flash back to older firmware. I downloaded it from the STOCK thread but I couldn't sideload it. It says footer is wrong, sig verf failed and other stuffs. Im currently on the lastest firmware

You should be able to downgrade if your bootloader is unlocked.

I updated to latest security patch for January and unlocked bootloader and flashed to Oreo beta 2 no issues. Essential.com and do it step by step and should have no issues.
When will we get stable oreo update ,,,i m using oreo beta on TA-1021

Already got it. I have TA-1021 as well. I got it like 2 days ago, directly from Oreo Beta.

I got the Oreo official update directly from Oreo beta. The official Oreo update included the January security patch as well. It got updated via OTA *directly* from beta, through system update.
My build number now, is 00A0_5_220
But i didn't get January update
I m on oreo beta with December security patch
What should i do now...any suggestions???

Roll back by mena firmware, then manually update till January 2018
Then try the method present here

Also i would like to suggest you to flash till January 2018 patch (nougat)
Cause its has the maximum to get the oreo

Well, I'd say restart your phone a couple times maybe, and then try and check for system update every now and again. I'm sure the update will come soon. It'll be an update of approx 1.8GB. OR, if you wanna flash and then get oreo, you have that method above ^.
Is there a way to root a Sprint Galaxy S7 on (U) firmware? Using latest Oreo & V8 BL?
Since I cannot do anything to this piece of s*** phone I got, Is there anyway to root it to get more of it or even try to fix that battery drain?
