Notification channels and sounds - Moto G7 Questions & Answers

Android pie has an item for 'notification channels' in apps and notifications. But it is absent in the Moto G7.
Does anyone know where to find it or why it was removed?

Force Vibrate notification on watch

Is there an app similar to "notification center" on pebble, where I can force the watch to vibrate when I get a notification from certain applications?
For some reason I just can't get certain apps to vibrate (and I just see the notification, which is no good because I just miss it).
I don't know if those apps are poorly written or set wrong or what.
Other apps vibrate - so it's not a general problem. I shouldn't have to be screwing around with so many settings like this.
I'm fairly happy with my Moto 360, but missing important notifications is a dealbreaker, and I might be forced to go back to my Pebble.
Anyone know of an app that can do this? I don't mind paying for one.

Found one that worked: Augmented SmartWatch Pro.
It seems that wechat doesn't send a "vibrate notification" so it breaks android wear.
Instead it just does a normal app vibration.
Augmented works similar to "Pebble notifier" where it sends a vibrate notification to Android wear.

[Q] "Hide sensitive content" for selected apps

I noticed that on AOSP and CM12 the lockscreen notifications can be hidden one by one, but on Touchwiz Lollipop I can only hide ALL notifications. I just want to hide Whatsapp on the lockscreen but see all the other notifications. I don't want to see "Content hidden" even on the Screenshot Captured notification or the Battery Full notification (not sensitive notifications). Anyone knows how to manually hide app notifications? Maybe with an app or a code, idk.
Sorry for bad english, hope i'll be understood.

Disable notifications on the lockscreen NOT in Moto Display?

Hi,
I like the idea of Lollipop's heads-up notifications, but I don't like the way Google executed the concept, particularly on the lockscreen. So instead of using the built-in notifications, I use Floatify. I also like Moto Display's feature of being able to wave your hand over the display and see your latest pending notification. I would just disable the native heads-up notifications on the lockscreen and rely exclusively on Floatify, but that also disables the Moto Display notifications. Does anyone know if there's a way to disable the heads-up notifications on the lockscreen but not in Moto Display?

Completely disable peek / Heads up notifications? (Android 8.0)

I really liked the per app option of disabling peek notifications per app in Android 6.0. I'm finding that it's a little more tedious in Android 8.0, where each separate notification needs to be set to low priority in 8.0 (for example, multiple contacts in a message app.)
Is there anyway to disable this feature across the board? Or at least disable peek for an entire app?
Edit: Oh wow, the XenonHD custom ROM has this feature built right in to disable all heads up notifications. This is my recommended ROM to anyone else looking to do the same.
An app called shortcutter will do which is unfortunately, a paid app. It can be placed on quick shortcut as a toggle.

No custom notification sounds per app

I used to get different notification sounds for some apps like 5miles, OfferUp, and Letgo. Now on the OnePlus 6t I get one notification sound for all apps. These apps don't have a setting to change the notification sound. Any ideas?
