I'm having some problems with the 60fps modes not focusing properly. Is this common in all note phones? (this is my first samsung).
When I shoot a video in either 1080p 60fps or 4k 60fps, the image is very blurry compared to normal 1080p or 4k. I tried all settings options, cleared cache etc., but nothing worked. Could this be a hardware issue?

My wife and I have the same problem with 2 different Note 10 devices.

So beautiful and powerful device with a blurry video quality that sucks...

My issue was with 60fps mode - everything else was fine. I also checked with another device in samsung showroom and it also had this "issue", so I raised an issue on samsung members.
They said it's not a problem because in low light, due to shutter speed, the smoothing is unavoidable.
Here's their answer on samsung members: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uIPCZu4dOyuIdUT9aeTlkV_7vT69EVSh/view
If I take same 60fps videos under bright light (outdoors) - it's perfect. So, their explanation kinda makes sense to me.

That works but doesn't make sense to me.
This excuse is for cheap phones, not for a flagship...

Unboxing, first impressions and camera use & EIS results
Hi people!
Here my five cents about tittle. Really impressed about EIS results, considering how the mobile was moving while walking.
Hope you like it!
thanks!
Too bad it doesn't have 1080p/60fps.

but i think it will soon, it's just a matter of software i think
Here , I tested 1080p 240fps , slow motion video ...
Pretty decent , slight autofocus problems, but if I held it still , and not with one hand, standing over my bike, i think it would be ok.

Good quality camera. But not happy about quality when zooming in.
Stereo recording
Hi, guys, anyone have inverted stereo on video? I tested it in recording when I tapped on the left mic first and then on the right mic. When I watched my video the first tap was from the right channel.
lmao come on guys theres no need for 5 stars this camera is mediocre maybe a 70% score, ois is necessary / non blurry eis to get any higher
+ even the poverty phones from xiaomi 200 usd$ have 1080p 60 fps, but its missing here idk why

4k 60 fps will be added soon. Stock camera is ****, agreed. Better use Gcam, which makes great results, and raw, particularly, looks perfect. Only downside for me is the lack of optical stabilization and second tele lens camera, but you get what you pay for.
Pixellated video on FB App
I moved on to POCO recently and found that while playing videos on FB app they look badly pixellated, especially the text parts. Youtube videos are fine. Replaced the phone, but still has the same issue. Any other person having this issue?
Loved It
Thank you

I don't have it, so I guess the next update will bring it on.
Anyway the video quality is good enough for me. The only annoying thing is that videos dont have the photos great, wide angle of sight. I guess it's normal?

In the mean time, I updated it to 10.3.4.0 and there are 60 fps.

Good stabilisation and auto focus, not much more to say
4k video awful. Stutters and judders whenever you move. FHD+ not much better. Quality is also not sharp. A massive let down here.
Video quality not good terrible jittering ,i expecting more from this expensive phone
price asked has nothing to do with quality there are 200$ phones with crisp 4k video on the market

I got exact same feelings. The video quality is a bad joke...
Keeping my fingers crossed for a software update soon!
I spend a good hour at huawei booth and just couldn't get an explanation why there were jitters and dropped frames at 60 fps especially when panning. Also, 4k had few dropped frames and jitters but there was some sort of warping/bending at the sides of the screen. Again , no explanation.
So wanted to get this phone and am hoping someone has some answers why (perhaps it's ok when exported to pc?) or maybe some setting i'm not aware of?
Same here. Video quality suck and it always want to brighten the video when shot in a sligthly dark room. Hopefully there will be a fix but meanwhile snapchat app actually records better video than the default huawei app... Thats kind of embarrassing for huawei. It seems to be a sofwareissue.
Do anyone know any good external camera app to use?
Any one have the same problem like me.
No sound when making a video. When I restart the phone than sound comes back , but after a few more videos no more. I have now library of movies with no sound.

I'm using Cinema FV5, it's having a lot of manual settings, so I was able to shoot a video which looks quite more natural in low light.
Gesendet von meinem LYA-L29 mit Tapatalk
I am not happy with video recording, pro mode options are limited and there's no dynamic control option i.e., you can't change settings while recording video other than zoom and focus. lot of pixel dropping in 4K, stabilization is good though, 146 has tweaked it well. another thing i noticed is long exposure shots with ISO 50 are giving lots of white dots or burnt pixels which are spoiling the photo shots. this means camera photo-detectors are not well ventilated for heat dissipation. also some of the features that Huawei boasted about such as cinematic mode are useless, low light videos are horrible...
only photo quality is good.
Slow mo
Hey guys, second post around... I've been testing super slow mo (960 fps) but the quality is a bit rubbish, the lense is the same as far as i know, and at 120 fps it takes good video, despite blurring everything at 0.6x... Do you have the same problem? Is there something I'm missing about slow motion video? Thanks!
Slow Motion is far better in Note 9. Big disappoint on Video recording on M20 Pro
Photos are great, Videos recorded are worse than $200 phone

I feel the same.
But both on Note 9 and Mate 20 Pro, the lack of manual focus on slow motion is sad. I lose lots and lots of opportunity for nice slowmo videos because they are out of focus (e.g., looking out the winodow of a moving train when entering the station). Simply being able to lock the focus would make it awesome.
4K video works fine for me
As long as you move smoothly the video is very nice as long as you are outside in good light. But first remember to use "performance mode". This is very important! Of corse the stabilization is not as good as in full HD;
4k30fps is not the way to go for smooth footage with any movement involved, let's hope the market still cares about Huawei in 2k20 until kirin 990 comes along

If you shoot video a lot, download Filmic Pro. It gives you full control on the camera. You'll be able to lock the focus and the exposure. Keep in mind that shooting 960fps video requires lots of lighting otherwise blur effect. The S9 has the same "issue". It is not an issue in fact it's just how it goes even for professional. Slow motion with bad lighting is a bad idea. Hope it helps

It depends a lot on what you shoot. and what texture you are looking for in your final footage. For more cinematic videos many will recommend 24fps. For slow motion high framerate. Shooting in 60fps you'll get a texture close to "real life". Hope it helps

Video recording in Iphone XSMax are gorgeous, better than Mate 20 Pro period. For Samsung S10 I don't know but my guess is that they are both better than Mate 20 Pro. Mate 20 Pro just do the work
the video recording quality is quite the disaster. i hope it is fixed in an update some point soon. i'm pretty sure my zte a7 has better video quality....sadly...

It has 48MP camera the video quality may look crispy but it doesn't have OIS or EIS so we able to see some shaky in video footages.

Well, I previously owned a OnePlus 3T and it had OIS, after using Note 7 Pro, I can tell how OIS is better than EIS. EIS kind of gets choppy.
does camera video lag and frame dropping is definitively fixed ?
Video quality is good and all but the audio quality is literally crap. Just go to a concert or night club with DJs and stuff, record it with a phone and see the video, it's so distorted your ears will start bleeding.
This problems has been in MIUI since ages now and they just don't care about fixing it.
Crap slo mo.
Slomo frame drops issue still not solved.
And its limited to 120 fps.
No news about 240fps slo mo.
Why so ignored ..
hi my redmi note 7 pro i can able to shoot video recording only 40 secs after that video is closing and also it is take too much size of that 38 secs video. please suggest me how and where to change the settings to take long video

Hi There,
Got my OnePlus7 today and found the slow motion video to have a screen flicker in it.
Might be able to post a sample video later
Just wanting to hear from others if they face the same issue

Was the slow motion video taken with natural light or with electric light?
(With electric light from an AC source some flicker with slow motion video would not be unexpected)
I dont have such flickering issue in any of the conditions
Finding all videos very blurry, not the ones shot but YouTube etc they're not sharp
I always have stutter when recording and again when playbacking it. Either in 30 or 60 fps, there's always stutter. Stock, non rooted.
Not Great, Not Terrible

I've had the Poco X3 for about 1 week now.
Let's talk a bit about the video quality!
Your "1x" lens/setting will be the best overall video quality. The 0.6x (wide) also works fairly well, but even at the same resolution and frame rate, it is noticeably worse.
720p 30 fps: skip
1080p 30 fps: There seems to be some stuttering here and there. Auto focus works quite well and responds fairly quickly.
1080p 60 fps: Surprisingly good! It looks very smooth especially with the stabilization on (gimbal like). The auto focus doesn't respond well. Sometimes works, sometimes needs manual tapping. I don't know what's wrong with it.
4k 30 fps: Similar to 1080p but also some shakiness perhaps due to frame rate. Auto focus is available and works decently.
There are some other features such as fast object tracking, macro, steady cam. Those are nothing to write home about, but are there.
I upgraded to Poco X3 from a Redmi 6, so it was a pretty huge upgrade. Having never used more expensive phones, I'm pretty satisfied with the camera. Though, the other sensors like macro and wide are pretty much a joke compared to the primary sensor, I don't think I'll find much use of them.
With videos at 1080p and 60fps, there's definitely an auto focus problem, but hopefully some software updates would fix it and improve the overall quality.
On 12.0.3 EU Rom the Slow-Motion Videoo woth stock-camera doesn't work. In 720p mode there is no slow-motion when playing the video, in 1080p there is big stuttering. On previous 12.0.2 slow-motion worked fine.

Still works for me without any issues on 12.0.3.
First seconds are normal speed, but after a sec low and behold slomo
I have found my mistake. I had uninstalled VI video. Because of this, e.g. Google Photos could not play slow motion. Now I have installed VI video again. Slowmotion is running again.
the auto focus on X3 is wayyyyyy too aggressive.. it keeps auto focusing every 5s.. its very very irritating..
Don't really have much to say other than that I'm very happy with the electronic image stabilization on this device. It's actually pretty great especially considering it's not OIS. Most midrangers have pretty awful image stabilization, but this phone handles it quite well. I'm also fairly pleased to have 4K video & 1080p 60fps; in 2020 those should be pretty standard at this point, but you don't always see those options on budget phones. Beyond that I haven't really messed with the video or the front-facing camera to really find any major negatives.
Between the Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC and the Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro which has the best final camera, the measurements show the Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC. But in the many times I have seen on the internet sometimes it looks like the Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC is good and other times the Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro. What is the truth after all?
