Samsung S8-SM-G950F custom binary blocked by FRP lock - Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions and Answers

Samsung S8-SM-G950F custom binary blocked by FRP locked, i saw so many theards about this and i read them, and i still don't know what to do, so my question is if i download firmware with "SamFirm" and then use oddin will i get my phone unlocked from that ? As i had custom rom for year and half and today i got that error for the 1st time , also if the "SamFirm" is not good for that can someone give me link for firmware for my phone as updato and all other sites download soo slow at 15 kb/s and i can't use them it will take 20hours to download that (

Similar situation, I broke my S8 screen, so never got it fixed, and was recently without a laptop, so thought id use the S8 thru Dex, it all worked no probs, however, I used to unlock bootloaders to install custom firmware and os's but didnt think id done it on my S8 as it was still under warranty, so upon looking in the developer options, i saw that OEM Unlock was on, so i switched it off, not remembering rooting the phone, now i get same error it bootloops and says custom binary frp lock. Did u ever get yours sorted? I know my google account to login 2 it if i ever get the official rom back working, but trying odin and smartswitch restore im still stuck, just keeps failing, saying frp lock. Cant even get into recovefry mode to factory reset, didnt thiunk i had TWRP installed on it, but i must have. Anyway, if anyone can pls help me pls contact me here or at dcillusionz at proton dot me. Thanks.

PS - I tried downloading from SamFW and using Odin, but FAILED. Hoping u had some luck?

Custom binary blocked by frp lock

need urgent help really.
my phone has been rooted and has twrp installed for months now with no issues, all of a sudden my phone rebooted to the samsung logo screen with the mentioned error message. i have no idea how and why this error has occured but my phone wont boot to system. i really dont want flash stock firmware as i havent backed things up, is there a way to fix this issue with out doing a full wipe?
you might have accidentally disable oem unlock. so phone is bricked , and you need to flash stock firmware with odin , no other choices . and as you know knox counter will stay 0x1 , root or no root, once you break knox its permanent as knox is hardware, once you root it break an electronic fuse so once you flash stock firmware I really suggest you to install custom rom and twrp again as many things will be blocked if you stay on stock firmware as your device will stay marked as " rooted "

Yeah I had to do firmware install in the end. It's just crazy though. I very rarely go into dev options, I had noto kernel installed and everything on stock aqh3, rooted with magisk and everything worked great, so annoying as this happened at 3am and I have slow internet connection and took me 2 hours to download the 3.5gb firmware file. Urgh o was on the verge of installing a custom rom too, ah well good job I had a lot of stuff saved in Samsung cloud.

Can someone help??
I got the "FRP lock" on my Samsung S8 (Exynos) and tried to flash Stock Oreo but Odin fails and the device shows "KERNEL REV. CHECK FAIL. DEVICE:3 BINARY:2".
This stock Samsung Rom worked earlier today so it should be the right Rom for my phone.
Also tried to flash TWRP recovery via AP in Odin which failed with "RFP lock" message showing on the device..
I tried to add a snapshot here but couldn't.
Anyone please, I'm helpless..

Your issue is trying to flash older firmware than what is on your phone. You will need to download firmware with bootloader ver. 3 or higher ( bl ver no. is 5th number from right of firmware name )
Flashing twrp failed because of locked bootloader.

Hello guys i rooted my S8+ G-955F and i turned off usb debugging and ome lock
And i have android 9 installed on my device, i tried all the way but for nothink , any help please

downgrading problem oreo to nougat s8

hello,
i managed to get the phone back to get in download mode. stock everything, no root whatsoever. my goal is to root my phone and i have experience doing so but i guess i was just unlucky this time.
i tried searching allover the internet for a fix, searching xda etc.
first off: my device is running oreo 8.0 and it's type is G950FX.
I want to downgrade to 7.0 because FRP lock is on, i did turn on oem lock before starting however i am unable to log in to my old google account connected to my phone.
when i try to flash any bootloader i get SW REV CHECK FAIL DEVICE 2, BINARY 1. i tried almost any trick in the book like downloading 7.0 from sammobile, flashing using odin.
the things i run into when flashing are:
1.can't flash the bootloader, probably because of frp lock.
2. when i don't flash the bootloader for 7.0 i get dm-verity error 0x2.
3. when i only flash 8.0 oreo pda & csc and then flash 7.0 pda on top i do get to boot but i get encryption interrupted error.
4. i am able to boot in 8.0 but can't get past the frp.
i'm out of answers, i really hope anyone can help me out of this situation as i want to use my phone.
Help is much appreciated!
edit: i tried flashing multiple versions of android 7.0 but i keep getting sw rev check fail bootloader device 2 binary 1
i basicly want to do this, a downgrade: https://forums.androidcentral.com/s...s8-plus/878062-how-downgrade-oreo-nougat.html
the problem is i didn't sign out of google or samsung accounts before resetting to factory
You can't. You have a new bootloader v2.
A simple search gives you this answer, if you have u2 and CRED bootloader installed you are stuck. No way to go back anymore.
i'm on u2 and CRED bootloader. i did search for this indeed but i didn't want to give up.
do you think there will be ever be a way to get back into my phone again?
If you have FRP lock good luck. I haven't seen a way yet.
I know it's been 5 months and you've probably either gotten rid of the phone or it's sitting in a dusty bin somewhere, but have you tried Galaxy Reaper? It's a pretty legit FRP bypass tool.
Edit: Scratch that. It's apparently been patched since I last knew it to work. Just wanted to double check, and sure enough..

There are many guides across XDA and google on this topic We have a wonderful search bar at the top of every page that is pretty useful once you get to know it...
i did a lot of research before. i m like 2 hours testing firmwares etc. with no luck. if you know to help me i would appreciate it.

Bricked S8 on Blv4, OEM + FRP locked - No Recovery :( Where can I find BLv4 stock??

My S8 won't boot, and just says "Custom Binary blocked by FRP lock", both for recovery and a normal boot.
I've tried many things but from what I've searched, the only way to get out of it, is to flash stock.
Unfortunately, when I try to flash stock, it says I cannot flash BLv3 because it's BLv4.
Does anyone know where I can find BLv4 stock files to unbrick my S8, or any alternative way to get out of this?
Samsung Roms
Hi there you, You can get samsung roms from SamMobile
if you have an account or you can use "updato" website which is free google it.
Download Speeds are limit on both websites so expect slow downloading speed.
the Updato website doesn't have all the roms sometimes you might have to get a rom from a diferent country to get the latest bootloader.

I think i screwed myself (Galaxy S8 Root)

Hey i couldnt find anything else so i hope this isnt a duplicate,
im somewhat of a noob when it comes to rooting but i know a little bit
Today i rooted my Galaxy s8 , everything whet smooth and without a problem,
but then for some reason i deactivated the OEM unlock and rebooted my phone.
Obviously that locked me out of my phone, after trying to flash my phone with the stock firmware that i downloded through samfirm
i got the error sw rev check fail bootloader device 5 binary 4 and i couldnt get that to work.
My next step was to try the Samsung smart switch emergency recovery, which failed.
I got the error that my device was not supported.
After that my S8 also stared showing me a blueish screen with the message : "An error has occurred while updating the device software....",
i can still access downlod mode tho
At this point i really dont know what to do and i should really be in bed because its 2 in the morning .
I really hope someone can help me out here, thanks in advance and a good night for now.

Device 5 binary 4 means you are flashing lower version of firmware than what is on your phone. Samsung will let you downgrade ( bootloader ) versions numbers.
You will need to flash a bootloader 5 or higher to fix.
Note: Don't relock oem in developer option.

Thanks for your reply!
That's what I found out too but I couldn't find a "higher" bootloader, I would have thought that if I download it through SamFirm it should have the proper BL
Do you have any recommendations on where to download the proper bootloader?
Yea that was a big f**k up haha
I just tried to get Poke Go to run but it wouldn't let me login because it detected that the Device was rooted I guess and after changing my device fingerprint and adding PokeGo to MagiskHide and still not being able to login I followed some FAQ blindly Wich recommended to turn off OEM unlock, and other things to hide the hardware site or the root, thinking about it again it should have been super obvious that this is a stupid idea, but you are always smarter afterwards right? Haha

Wow I feel stupid, I'm flashing the stock through Odin right now as I type this, I've downloaded 2 firmwares first one was a random one from online second one was the SamFirm , after realizing the first didnt work I must have deleted the samfirm variant by accident, I redownloaded it and now it's working , but thanks for replying!
