How can I get someone making a Custom ROM for me for Galaxy A20? - Samsung Galaxy A20 Questions & Answers

I have looked up on so many search results but I can't find a custom Android 9 Pie ROM for this phone that is based Stock Android. This phone is cheap and probably is yet to be released in the US by some weeks. I don't have a high end phone and this one is a really cheap one so probably people aren't hyped about though it is one of the most worth-for-the-money phones. So my question is, can a developer make a Custom ROM for this phone if it's possible. If not, what should I do. I don't know what it takes to make custom ROM and probably I am talking about something not practically possible but I'd be more than happy to get a Custom ROM for this phone.

I'm have Galaxy A20 and I understand you, in Russia, too, not a lot of people who use this smartphone, but in order to have a custom ROM, you need to make TWRP, and there you can use Project Treble or other custom ROM

I have no idea how to do that. Can you please do that if possible?

I'm have 3gb, and I can only help you to put Root on OneUI, and to make TWRP, you need to ask people who know how to do it.
You have Always on Display? On SER wirmware not AOD. Just wondering what regions it might have, I know that on the A6 2018 on the Austrian ROM, there is Always on Display, I want to gather statistics and find out which countries it may be present in. On Galaxy A20

Useful information about how to making custom rom for galaxy a20. But ask to professional is best way to get your solution.

No I don't have AOD. My phone seems to not support it.

I think it's a software thing more than a hardware thing

I know someone is working on a twrp for the A30. Perhaps it will work for us too.

They are indeed very similar in specs. Modifying the ROM for A30 to a ROM for A20 would basically only be changing a few values if my understanding of ROMs is correct. I hope to get a good news soon.

I've contacted Mike Channon from xda and he told me that we need 40 to 60 threads before we get our own forum.

[Q] Is there a better ROM for my device other than Blisspop?

I have a Galaxy S5, SC-04F, issued by DoCoMo in Japan. I saw this video where a guy had installed 5.1.1 Blisspop on the exact same device that I have (video in Japanese), and thought that would be a good idea, because my previous 5.0 ROM was having issues.
It seemed the only place to get the ROM for my device was from this Vietnamese developer. There was enough English in the Vietnamese text for me to get the right ROM, so I installed it, and overall the performance is a lot smoother and nicer than what I had before.
However, I am experiencing two issues. One is that the Bluetooth connectivity is weak. My bluetooth headphones constantly flutter as if the connection is weak. Listening to music is impossible. Also, there is nothing in the interface about the fingerprint scanner, so I'm guessing this ROM just doesn't support it...?
Is there a better ROM for my device? By "Better" I just mean that everything about Blisspop is fine, I just want to also have good Bluetooth and fingerprint scanner support.
Thanks for any help.
wrong section to post this mate, this belongs to the Q&A Section,
to answer your question, simply check out the many Stock TW LP Based Roms Pick one by yourself and try them out They have bluetooth working like you want it to and they have fingerscanner. good luck

Thanks for this response. You're speaking at a level of understanding above mine, though. I tried searching for "Stock TW LP Based Roms," but I can't triangulate on any that are compatible with my device. Also, I can't figure out what TW and LP stand for.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but finding Roms, whether through Google or on this forum, doesn't seem to be as easy as typing in the specifications of my phone and the type of Rom I'm looking for (eg, SC-04f, Android 5.1.1, custom Rom).
Is there a way I can search for or access a list of Roms specifically for my device?
Sorry for the questions, but this kind of stuff is tricky for the non-initiated.

Thank you for this suggestion. Unfortunately, It appears that this rom is not available for my SC-04F model.
Martin, you're not happy with Space-X? Or are you just looking to see what else is out there?
BTW, where in Tokyo are you? I live near Ueno.
Cheers,

Sorry, I didn't see your post until just now.
I'm just trying to get a ROM that's stable and without bloatware. The SpaceX Rom didn't seem to be available for my device, the Docomo SC-04F. If you can link to a specific ROM that you'd recommend, I'd be down to try it.
I'm currently running Blisspop, but after months of working well, I'm suddenly getting a lot of crashing and bluetooth problems, so I'm in the market to try something else.

can you please share the web address ?

Any Marshmallow ROM thats worth trying ?

Hi,
I read through diff. threads but i am a bit confused:
At the current date, is there any Marshmallow ROM worth to be tried/flashed as i read there are still basic functions like cam etc. not working. If yes, which ROM works best please ?
Thanks in advance.
currently I'm using Darkwolf_FW ROM, besides the minor bugs I'm extremely happy
none of the ROMs atm have a working wifi tethering via hotspot. Again, the camera bug. The device with a 6.0.1 port generally feels "not-like-a-smartphone"

I'm curious, why that ROM? What is different or unique about it that makes it better than any of the existing 6.0.1 Ports? I'm not disagreeing with you or anything.. Just wondering why.

Man.So hard to search a little. All s7 ports are based on darkera. So all are started from there, same bugs.Rom port means that it's taken from another phone like note5,s6,s7 so from the beggining will be bugs.To early to be all fixed.Only different base that is not darkera's port is s5 mm port. You fill find here, but also with bugs.If you don't want bugs buy a new phone with mm.But for that is the comunity here to help each other and give a solution for our older note 3.Also i have a 5.1.1 port stable as primary rom and a s7 port in dual mode to test. Problems that encounter with s7 port are always display and nfc.All other things like gps, hotspot and etc are working.I think depends on the phone. But also will be fixed.
Anyway wrong thread.
Should be in Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Probably mods will transfer it their

So hard to search a little? What are you talking about. If you read the post I quoted, you will clearly see that I am simply asking why he felt that the port he provided a link to was the best in comparison to the other ports. I only was curious because as as far as I know, all the 6.0.1 ports have the same bugs as you mentioned. That's why I asked what makes that ROM different /unique from the rest for it to be considered the best (according to him). I too am back on a 5.1.1 port as I can't deal with no hotspot functionality which the 6.0.1 ports suffer from right now.

Not a selfie fan so didn't try.Better makes photo back camera.
Try resurrection remix rom. It was my daily driver and didn't give me any crashes. All functions are working perfectly. The dozer mode did save battery a lot when the phone was on standby, but I did find the battery draining faster when I used the phone compared to the stock lollipop ROM.
Hope you find the one you like!

[Request] A Clean OS for the Tab A 7.0 (SM-T280)

Hello there
As the title tells you, i would like to have a clean OS for the Galaxy Tab A 7.0 (SM-T280)
With clean OS i mean a completely debloated rom without any extras. As slim as possible. Just a launcher and Core GApps (Playstore + Maps)
Maybe a debloated ROM or a debloation script. or a List of removeable Apps
I notices that the LTE version of the tablet, the SM-T285, allready got some non Touchwiz roms.
CM13 by Jedld and CM14.1 by Jedld
The best what could happen would be, if a developer from the T280 could make it compatible.
Jedld said:
SM-T280 Users: Unfortunately this rom would probably not work on it since the SM-T285 and SM-T280 have different kernels and slightly different hardware. I don't have access to this device so it would be hard for me to port it over. However I believe there are a lot of similiarities in the device tree that can be shared. If a dev with the SM-T280 is interested I can probably help.

It would be great if someone could help
Greetings!
A month ago i inquired about the likeliness of a ROM for the 280. There was some work being done on it but unfortunately it stopped. As long as devs don't have the device, no work will be done for it. So unless we (requesters) bundle and buy a 280 for a dev (something unlikely to happen) we can only hope.
i want it to
Just orered this tab, was at special price, sad to hear this
I guess all we can do is root and debloat

Very simple. Both are unique in their own ways and at the same time they are similar! You would ask why? Simple because j5 16 shares our fixes. Our ROM is adapted for gamers and users who want stock experience with good performance and without any visual or huge 3rd part modifications. Also KRAKO is the only ROM right now that ships with my 3rd release of leviathan, which includes a huge improvement over anything and everything. It's up to you decide which one you want, both will satisfy your needs I can guarantee you that. Cheers!

Depends what device you have if u can get the third version of levi. Cuz r3 is only for j500fn, not other models. So if he has j500f or m is useless to tell him that he can have the r3 kernel on krako.

I need to urgently upgrade from 6.1 to 8.1

So, the Quebec government here has come out with a vaccine passport which will be needed to do just about anything. Therefore, I will need to upgrade the wife's S5 to 8.1, from 6.1, as 8.1 is the minimum for this app to work. This goes into effect September 1.
Now, I see a bunch of things online obviously, but as I recall this place here was/is the holy grail for cell phones. Just hoping to not have to buy a new phone as our pensions don't leave all that much wiggle room.
Note that I just need the stock rom for 8.1. Not looking to root or other such things.
Model #sm-g900w8
Just need to be pointed in the right direction is all. Once I know a source can be trusted I should, hopefully, be able to take it from there.
Thanks.
Well, I do need to try anyway, otherwise I will absolutely have to buy a new phone, which I am trying to avoid if possible.
Thanks though.
Had replied to you in a different thread that didn't have as much info as above.
Unfortunately there is absolutely no chance of getting a stock 8.1 rom on the S5 they stopped developing at 6.1
Best bet is to flash a custom rom like LOS or mokee both trusted roms. But you'll need to flash a custom recovery TWRP.
But yeah Unfortunately that's basically your only option without upgrading the device for a newer model
Good luck

You're going to get a better experience with a newer phone.
