How to run notifications - OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Guides, News, & Discussion

Dudes, it seems like the notifications have earned. I checked it for now on two third-party applications. You need to remove via adb package: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.coloros.athena
For the application, you must also give all permissions, autorun and notification settings. It starts to work not immediately, it was about 5-10 minutes for me, but after all the notifications come right away.
IMPORTANT! After removing this package, the button for closing all running applications stops working. Applications need to be closed manually.

Tried this, did nothing here, even after an hour and a few reboots.
Let's wait for an update.

I can confirm it works on my Chinese ROM version. Although I did uninstall a few others with it as described in another post but didn't like the effects. So reinstalled all but Athena. Now backgound apps do keep running even though device manager still wont let you add more than 5 apps to boot/startup. I use a boot at startup app that launches the apps I want to stay running at startup. As long as you don't swipe them closed they stay running.

Why the heck are notification not showing up on my device, otherwise it is perfect for my taste...

startup manager?

is there an app or a setting akin to windows' startup manager that anybody knows about and actually recommends?
would be nice to be able to decide which apps and widgets startup on boot, instead of having to go in and close things manually

I use Startup Auditor by vesperaNovus. It gives you the option to keep things from loading at Startup and/or force kill them always. No root access required.

I use Bloat Freezer and froze those apps with no problems or side effects. May have to reable to get OTA updates, not sure.

I think these are "over the air" logs services that track app'n issues, etc, sending feedback to google or developers? Could the streak function without these,good question. Freezing instead of deleting is a good idea. Provide a safe roll-back if necessary.

System Killing Launcher on every app launch!!

Hi!! I have a problem, I'm currently Running Darky's 10.1 with dark core 2.6... Everything is smooth and snappy, however the system keeps killing my launcher everytime I launch an application whether it be a game, browser, news app... Whenever I exit the app the launcher reloads and it makes the phone really really slow and laggy for 10-15 seconds...
I currently using ZEAM launcher, not sure whats causing this, i've been using this launcher since its launch and only had this problem when i was on stock froyo...
Any ideas what can be done to fix this issue...
Thanks!!
Same problem here.
I am on GigerReal 7.1.3 and the worse thing is when it you try to make a phone call and the bloody thing just restarts the phone every third key pressed.
I can only call using voice calling when this happens...
I am using LauncherPro but it also happens in Ginger Launcher and TW Launcher 4.5
Just out of interest guys, how much free memory is showing for you in Settings > Applications > Running Services ?
I am running stock JVQ and although the phone works fine after initial boot (with around 180mb free) this number seems to drop over time and results in any new application clearing any other app from the memory. This even meant that if I got a text message while using the web browser and replied to it, by the time I went to return to the browser it had to reload where I was from scratch. It was also clear that after playing a game and returning to the home screen, even this was having to reload and "redraw" again.
That in itself is a minor annoyance but eventually it seemed to get so bogged down the whole system froze with the "black screen of death" and I had to do a forced reboot. I'm aware, of course, that JVQ is not an official release so it's not fair to be too harsh on Samsung here...
I seem to have a lot of memory free. It happens after the phone has been up for some time.
I noticed that launcher pro was reloading the widgets every time it starts. Also i seem to notice that it happens when you dial a couple of numbers and it starts giving you suggestions from the contacts. So it could be contact related?

This is the same that happens on my system... The launcher just reloads all the widgets everytime I close an application... the amount of ram is always close to 243/337.. So its close to 90-100 mb free, which is enough i suppose... Still the launcher just reloads everytime an app is closed... Its really getting annoying...
basicly you must set HOME_APP_ADJ to 0 making home app unkillable =)
am not sure but probably do that
/data/local.prop -> add such line ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=0
and restart - have not tested just pure theory (the .prop location)

Actually, putting the value as 1 worked better for me. My launcher so far has not been killed even once.
ya 1 should work flawlesly
0 is making it bulletproof/unkillable at any state
but 1 should be safest value
I think Spare Parts allows you to adjust the task killer's sensitivity. Maybe have a play with that and relax the settings.

spare parts at least free one does not have such option
also this is not about adjusting memory taskkiller options
not the one that you can setup with this useless juwe script for example

Attached is an APK which adds that line. Make sure you're rooted first. I wrote it in the past 10 minutes, so it's very simple and might crash, but it did work for me.
Just install it, launch it, confirm root and then watch out for a small message. If successful it will directly ask you to uninstall it. Reboot, and done.
there is also ro.HOME_APP_MEM that can be changed to 4096
to follow other oom_adj=1 settings =)
@martino2k6
Thanks a lot dude... The apk installed perfectly... I'm already seeing improved performance from my device... The launcher hasn't been killed once since the install...
Thanks again for all your help... appreciate it...

Try changing the lowmemoty killer setting to something less aggressive. Your phone is trying to keep too much free memory so has to kill off apps.
Download Galaxy Tuner (using memory manaber option)and set the application cache values to the new samsung default as follows:-
fa=10 MB
va=16 MB
ss=20 MB
ha=24 MB
cp=28 MB
ea=32 MB
Make a note of your current settings in case it doesnt help.
You can also use Galaxy Tuner to set JEWE's file system cache
, settings are:-
SWP: 50
VCP: 10
DEC: 5
DWC: 10
DRA: 90
DBR: 5
These work well for me so give them a whirl, you can always put the values back to where they are now.
mate the problem is solved already - please read dont spam those juwe crappy values ok ?
Ok, cool

Fire HD6 OS issues

Does anyone else have these issues?
»Extremely low process limit: Apps seem to get killed from memory almost as soon as you press home or switch apps. (Constant reloading of the Otter home screen when pressing home due to it being killed in the background). The worst part is that even music apps are killed while listening to.
Edit:solved! Looked through process stats from.developers options and disabled the high memory services via adv block.

Could you give a quick overview of how/what you blocked. I know we can't remove the Amazon-related background processes/apps but I'd love to be able to block some of them if possible.

well I found out it is not fully solved but it occurs less. To block a system app you need adb and drivers set up on your computer. Type: "adb shell" and then look through the processes on your device and it gives the package name. such as com.google.whatever. to block type:"pm block com.google.whatever".

Cheers. Got it. I'm in the shell unblocking the default launcher after the 4.5.2 update anyway. For whatever reason it won't start Nova immediately after an update so I have to unblock/reinstall Nova/block to get it back working again. Thanks again.
The update seems to have helped. will need to test the keyboard again

How to handle Auto-start permissions ?

Hi,
Everything is in the title : How to handle Auto-start permissions in OOs 4.5.3 ?
I didn't find a menu for that.
With my old phone, I used to use Bootmanager, but without Xposed I can't use it anymore.
Any piece of advice ?
BR
I would like to know this as well, memory management (start up/background use/keep awake) is huge in controlling battery life.
I need Xposed for 3 apps: Boot Manager, GravityBox, and YouTube AdAway...
So, no option in OOs ?

LBE Security Master can handle Autostarts perfectly. I use it to control permissions and for autoboot on my OP5. Rest of options I've switched off. Works like a charm. If you need APK just PM me.
You need root (of course)

I'm interested, is it an English versoin ?
There are large threads about this program here on XDA. For me this is an understandable piece of software. I found others too complicated or PMP (Xposed) that didn't work on my Sony Z3 Dual.
LBE does this job. Download from XDA or send me pm for apk.
Has anyone figured this out?
I vaguely remember seeing the option in settings - apps - cog - auto start in an earlier version of OOS?
Is this removed or moved somewhere else?
OnePlus 5 apparently has a new feature of auto starting apps based on usage, but that seems to be a load of *@#! cos none of my most used apps launch on boot
The option still exist but you cannot access it through settings.
If you're an Alarmy user, the app give you prompt to that page whenever you confirm an alarm setup (interestingly).
If you don't, you can download JOneplus tool from play store which also can lead you to that page (by force touching the app)
And no, I'm not affiliated with either or both of the above apps in any ways.
If you use nova launcher you can create an activity to point to manage centre where you can see the auto start apps, however it does not work at all for me but your mileage may vary.
I use the app Autostarts which works perfectly

Replaced this app with Apex Shortcuts (may not be exactly the same label as I translated them from French :angel :
- Shortcuts / Activities / Management Center / Application Auto-start (.chainlaunch.view.ChainLaunchAppListActivity)
- Shortcuts / Activities / Management Center / Hibernation Application Parameters (.cleanBackground.view.ManageBackgroundAppListActivity)
If someone can provide me the real label in English, I'll update OP

So tried this for the last few days, but looks like it doesn't seem to have any effect?
I have apps like LMT, greenify, ex kernel manager set to start at boot and settings in the above and other apps but they don't seem to start up or apply the settings. In fact the toggle in LMT even gets turned off at boot and have to manually get into any of the apps and restart them.
I am assuming the others don't see this misbehavior? Do you have aggressive doze and/or doze turned off?
