no it doesn't, because the Nova 3i is an LCD screen it makes no sense to have it.

Install an app called "lockscreen" from the market. Open it once and you an lose it. Now open nova settings and goto gestures, double tap, and set it to an application (the lockscreen one you just installed). Now when you double tap it should lock.

Search g2 forum for nova and knock....
I used a program called "turn off the screen" and then set nova's double tap gesture to launch it.

Action Launcher

I got my M3 today and like it a lot. However I don't like the EMUI launcher / interface and installed Action Launcher 3 instead but cannot seem to make it the default and it keeps reverting to EMUI. In Action Launcher settings there's an option to make it the default launcher but this doesn't seem to have any effect. Has anyone had this issue and, if so, how did you solve it?Thanks.
Hey there,
I'm using action launcher myself, here is how to make it stick as default.
1. Home, settings, apps
2. Advanced -> default app settings
3. select action launcher

That will work with any launcher that you want to try too. I think it's funny how they seem to hide that feature in settings and it's usually the first major change that people do to EMUI.... I found out from my Honor 5X so I had a slight had start on it. Hopefully they will have the New launcher in the N update that still use EMUI launcher but give you the option to change to an app drawer. That way we can still use the EMUI themes. Once you use a different launcher you can't apply any of the themes.

KnockON

Anyone else having problems with KnockON not working? I have it enabled but tapping on the phone isn't turning phone off.
Using the stock launcher?
No issues here. I'm using Nova. Not sure that launcher matters though...

Do you have nova setting an administrator account? Nobody else has been able to get knock off in nova to work without either hitting the status bar or setting an administrator account which overrides the fingerprint sensor.
To turn the screen off using the KnockOn feature, I double tap the status bar. (using Nova launcher)

I knock the status bar. I thought that's how it works. But I never even tried the stock launch so maybe it works everywhere.

Ok thats why I asked if he's using the stock launcher. In that one you can knock anywhere.
Go to Settings > Display and scroll down to make sure the Knock On feature toggle is turned on.
Good luck!

Thanks but I have that turned on and I'm using Nova Launcher.
I use Nova Launcher as well and have had no problems with either knocking on or off. You probably already know this, but just in case....
There is also a setting in Nova Launcher that assigns what Nova does when you double tap. It's in Nova Settings > Gestures & Inputs. Mine is set to "screen lock" when I double tap. Good luck!

Salute... That worked.

Weather and Nova Launcher

Does anybody know if the Pixel style weather widget on the Nova Launcher home screen works on the OnePlus 5? As far as I can tell I have everything enabled correctly but the weather won't show up. I've read that this feature doesn't work on Samsung phones. Does it also not work on the OnePlus 5 or am I missing something?

Works for me. You have it enabled in the labs menu under Nova settings?

Yes I did. The option to choose to display the weather on the home page doesn't show up unless you enable it in labs first. Maybe I'm missing a permission or setting somewhere but I can't seem to find it. Are you running stock unrooted?
Restarting Nova Launcher from within Nova Settings immediately fixed the issue. ☺

Issues with Nova Launcher

I have never faced this issue on any of my devices till now.
On my Mi 9T whenever i open an app and try to swipe up to go back/close app, I always gets redirected to Nova settings page instead. However if I swipe from left or right to go back things works normally.
Need to know if this behavior is fixable?
I have also attached a screen recording video showing the issue.
Edit: not sure if Video is visible to anyone, will try to upload somewhere else and share the URL here.
Gestures? See if you set some up in Nova
Sent from my Mi 9T using Tapatalk
it's under Nova launcher settings> Gestures and input> Gestures> swipe up. But I don't think it's an options to swipe up to go back/close. You can disable going to settings by swiping up tho

Gestures are not the issue here. I have already tinkered around that before posting here.
It's something else, maybe a Nova launcher bug/compatibility issue with MIUI.
Can any of you install Nova and test the same thing for me? Would really appreciate!
Thanks in advance!

I have nova launcher prime and I have no such problem.
i dont have this problem but i have encountered it on a friend's poco. if i recall, the way to solve this issue to go to settings > full screen display > full screen mode > nova launcher
let me know if that helps!
I was having an issue with the nova app drawer or app search accidently opening instead of the MIUI recent apps, when on the main screen.
This is only relevant with MIUI gestures ofc.
The solution was to disable the nova floating app search bar.
Works flawlessly now.
