it's a Stunning device with the best design on the Market.
In my opinion OPPO should work mre to definitively eliminate the Bottom Bezelless ( like just seen on the Vivo Apex 1 prototype ---) but the rest of the fron panel is absolutely incredible.
Amoled display has the same quality of Samsung S10 that i just have and the back cover is absolutely gorgeous .
I had think about neplus 7 Pro but for me is the past. The past because as design is 1 year later from FInd X just released last yead that i just had.

i have made some shots.
Cause i don't want have uploading loss quality i have upped my shots on OneDrive. So my advice for you is to download shots and look from your storage to see real quality.
There are seven comparative shots with same subject. the first 48 MPX and the othen one 10X zoomed. Lastly two simply 48 MPX shots.

Hi Wolfgart,
Thanks for photos, very beautiful, magnifico.
I am interesting too, and i have 2 questions.
The rom is a global rom or chinese, it is multilingual ?
And in video recording mode, the image in x10 is very noisy like if optical zoom doesn't work https://youtu.be/mutHxIaWo4k?t=322 that's true ?

Hello Salva
I bought on the 10/5/2019 The phone
Been my daily driver since then verry happy with it (Didin´t wait for the oneplus 7Pro because of curved glass)
The rom that came with it is Chinese, i will change as soon as i get them global rom (Phone will be out in 6 Jully) the languages present are english and other 18 languages
Looks like your right its making digital zoom instead of optical (Maybe the 13MP camera does not record video)
Any questions just Shoot

It's nice for sure, especially the hardware. But coming from a OnePlus device I have a really hard time with software.
Another letdown is notifications, just a few are showing on lockscreen, even I granted the in settings.
And there are NO statusbar icons for notifications?? missed some of them.

Hello, where we can buy the phone? Is possible to unlock Oppo bootloader and root? Thanks

Why are you so dissapointed with device?

Hmm mostly the software.
Can't change launcher, can't root it, and it's kinda laggy throughout the whole system.
Plus they claim it is a gaming phone, but I am playing 2 easy games from time to time (candy crush and boom beach) and both are lagging that it is impossible to play.

Use this guide to remove bloatware/change launcher.

Can anyone comment on speaker quality? Also is it stereo speaker?

I'm planning to buy Reno 10x ... I have downloaded the pictures which you have uploaded to one drive .... After downloading it I zoomed into the pictures but the details are not so good in the main 48mpx shots as I zoomed in to the pictures... I just wanna know is that there full clarity or seeing them in Reno 10x makes any difference and the 10x shots are looking smudged .... They said it's a lossless zoom... Main reason I'm buying this phone is the camera ... So I just wanna clarify about the camera quality.... Should I buy it or not?

Xiaomi Mi 5S Plus - 6GB RAM, Triple Cameras

Hello! Xiaomi Mi5s Plus was launched recently and here are the features: 5.7-inch FHD Screen, Snapdragon 821 CPU, 6GB RAM, and Triple cameras with two rear cameras (source: http://www.chinaphonereview.com/xiaomi-mi5s-plus).
The dual rear cameras is a unique characteristic in which it features a 13MP colored camera and a 13MP black & white camera. I'm not sure how this would translate. But I'm certain the 6GB RAM and Snapdragon 821 processor would definitely provide an excellent performance.
Any thoughts on this smartphone?
If a decent developer community forms and this gets the ability to work on Verizon then I'm sold. But I have to hold out hopes that the Mi5 progress keeps advancing and can easily translate to this device.

Be careful, the mi5s plus cameras are old sony imx258 and not the new imx378 on the mi5s. Also the mi5s plus lacks of ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

Yah, they gimped the plus so much.. if you like larger phones, neither are good buys. If the plus had 2 x imx378 and ultrasonic, best phone in the world easily, by hardware.
The pixel phones use the imx378, I believe, and the pixel is rated best camera phone by DxO (take with grain of salt as they're apparently biased), but it still shows the prowess of the imx378.
Would the dual rear cameras make any difference in terms of picture quality? How can the additional black & white camera help?
Just got this phone today.
It is amazing fast, super high performance.
With default setup, it can have 4G RAM free
However, it only have chinese stock rom at this moment.

Well, sadly enough that the imx378's sensor is large and I assumed that is why the dual camera setup with that sensor is not achievable.
Same goes to OIS, most probably due to sensor size issues. (Pixel phones have no OIS thou)

From what I've read, but I'm not an expert, the B&W camera should be capable of capturing more light.
So combining images from both cameras it should capture better pictures on low light conditions.

So I guess it will result to much clearer pictures and lesser noise compared to the single color camera. That's nice. :good:

I have it and for me there's 2 things that I don't like. MIUI 8 , I'm a stock Android guy I hope somebody bring cm or something like this to this mobile and the other thing it's the camera, it's a camera for me from the beginning of 2015, that perform well in optimal light conditions and in low light even with the stereo option it's not very well.
Conclusion, I'm not a photo guy so there's no problem but I can't support miui even that it runs fast in this mobile. So until we have some development to this mobile I'm going to stay whit my axon 7.

Has anyone got RAW file output working yet?
I don't own the device, but thinking of buying, and RAW (.dng) photos would be the last push over the edge for me to buy it.
I'm currently using a OnePlus One, with Camera FV-5 app for RAW photos.
Not impressed with the announced price of the OP5, particularly when I can get the very similar specced Mi 6 for over £100 less.

Redmi note 7 Vs 7 pro? Real camera advantages?

Hello, I am really in doubt on which one to buy. My real interest is about the camera : I haven't found a single comparison between the Samsung and the Sony cameras of the two devices. Do the photos of the pro version really justify the 100+$ of difference and the missing b20 band? Right now I have a redm note 3 Pro and it's perfect for my everyday needs, so a super SoC or a lot of ram would probably be wasted as I don't play at all with my phone. Any advice? Thanks!

I'm also curious. I watched hundereds of comparisons and from what i understood the sony sensor offers better dynamic range and sharpness. Depth of field (background blur) is same due to same sensor size.
By not a higher margin btw.

Do you have link??? I would like to see results. And also Gcam results, if it is not only in app.

Photo quality

Say "cheese", then rate this thread to express how photos taken with the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 come out. A higher rating indicates that photos offer rich color (without over-saturating), sharp detail (with all subjects in-focus), and appropriate exposure (with even lighting).
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Did Samsung improve the shutter speed on Note10+?? When I had the S10+ the still photos looked great, however it was hard to get a picture of my daughter(18mo old) that didn't look blurry
I spent a couple of days doing camera comparisons with my Pixel 3 XL, which I sent back on Friday (got my Note 10 on Wednesday). I found that I personally like the photos in daylight better from the Note 10, as they look just a bit more "punchy" and clear to me, but that's Samsung applying a deeper saturation and more sharpening. YMMV on that. Early reviews I read online said that it was on par with the Pixel 3 in daylight, but quickly fell apart in low light. I'm happy to report that wasn't my experience at all. Night mode works great, and while it would be nice to have an indicator of how long to hold it, it seems to be just as fast at the Pixel 3. The Pixel 3 did beat it out just a bit with clarity, but not by a very wide margin. I did some blind comparison test between shots from the Note 10 and the Pixel 3 XL with my girlfriend (who has a Pixel 3 XL of her own), and 9 of the 11 shots she picked were the Note 10 shots over the Pixel 3. She prefered the Pixel 3's selfie shot and it's Night Sight shot, but she said she really couldn't tell much of a difference in them.
Aside from quality, I like different Live Focus backgrounds, and being able to swipe up from a corner on the lockscreen to get to the camera is a huge plus for me. It's much faster for me to go from pocket to shot now. I'm going to a convention this weekend, so I expect to get some good use out of the triple cameras too. All in all, I'm beyond happy with the Note 10 camera, and coming from the Pixel 3 XL, I was very concerned, as that was hands down the best camera on a phone I'd ever used. The Note 10 isn't leaps and bounds better, but it is better, in my opinion.
As much as I like Note 10, camera is crap compared to Pixel 3. I've been shooting all day and most images are near useless if subject is moving, automatic in anything less then ideal conditions is also terrible, and can only be improved with Pro mode. Faces are too white and details are all washed out. I had exactly the same results with S10 that I returned
I am not sure what Samsung is thinking. Big company and great hardware, $1000 phone, yet software is not good and photos are behind even Pixel 1
Ps. I am leaning towards keeping the phone anyway and will give Gcam a try
Note 10+ Night Camera is really crap compared to the Pixel phone.... Ugh... Samsung again with their bs

No they haven't. I had a good hands on with the device at their stores and took my kids to just specially test this out.
I sold my S10 plus for this very reason and unfortunately in the Note note 10, they still haven't sorted it out. I had a Galaxy Note 8 and that was the last Samsung without this issue. I think it's something to do with the dual aperture.
Installing Gcam seems to help a lot but I have Exynos chip and doesn't get ported very well.
You have to use Pro mode in order to get anything useful with moving subject. Or Gcam maybe, I haven't tried yet
Daylight shots are very good though, I would say even better then Pixel

Same thing here with my wife's S10e. Since my S7 I hate this. Nowadays I have an iPhone Xr and this is not a problem, fortunately... But I'd like to go back to Android again... Maybe with Pixel 4...
Using pro mode on S10e I've got a nice result setting the shutter speed at least at 1/250. But you lose performance on HDR... So it's like a short sheet... You cover something and uncover other...
That's another mess, the pro mode.
On my note 8, i chose to keep a fast shutter speed and my preferred white balance with iso as a shortcut on home screen. This way it allowed me to directly jump into 3 of my preferred pro mode setting directly without fiddling and adjusting, but as always, Samsung had to take a damn step back and removed this shortcut starting from note 9.
Hmmmnnn. I had a note 8, and all the others besides the 9. Any of them, like any other cameras I have used(cameras and camcorders), with the faster shutter speeds, I always use manual(or as Samsung likes to call pro). I guess most of my subjects when I learned were really fast(rc helicopters doing aerobatics and saltwater reef tanks), so the old rule of 'learn manual shooting first and don't rely on auto' saved me.
Neither of those environments are ideal, and i learned to just 'make' the cameras work for me. It's not a fault of the devices, it's just the honest inherent nature of auto mode.. I also love macro photography, so that is another realm in which manual knowledge is key..

The portrait mood has bee the single most disappointing feature for me, perhaps we are spoiled by the gcam quality, but samsung could have done better.
Having an Exynos device makes it even more challenging to find a stable fully functional gcam.
I am almost inclining towards finding a pixel (2/3a or 3) just for camera capabilities.
Even the poco with it's xiaomi camera did a better job at portraits

Portrait is very good as far as i'm concerned. Maybe malfunctionning device ? I have exynos as well and no pb with photos (EDIT : i have Note 10 Plus though so maybe TOF does the job).
My portait photos are probably the most striking and accurate i ever took with a smartphone, i have very nice pics of my kids taken with it.
Single hairs on sides are not blurred either, it only blurs the background and does it right.
I am very disappointed with cameras .
Low definition and quality when you do not have 100% of light .
Night mode it **** also.
I came from op6 and did better photos stock and with gcam.
Samsung camera processing it is the worst one

I compared with OP7 and found that Note 10 (Exynos) is far better when compared to OnePlus 7.
Though Pixel 2 XL have much better camera
Just wondering whether the staggering difference in photo quality between Exynos and Snapdragon versions of Note 10 is here as well. I was shocked how far better was Galaxy S9 (Snapdragon) in this term.
Definitely isn't this year...the Exynos model has improved a lot so much so there's a huge difference between the photo quality of the note 10 and the S10 5g I had.
new update to camera today

That is weird, I find portrait quality to be much better than my Note 8 and iphone XS Max, edge definition is outstanding compared to iphones and I have taken portrait shots that are as good (resolution aside) as my Canon 70D with 85mm lens.

Bad choice Oppo, going all in with the IMX766

*Spoiler alert, grumpy post ahead*
Had many cameraphones in the past, but the choice that Oppo made running along with the IXM766, the sensor is disappointing in every aspect, like, come on! 1.56" sensor with 1.0 microns?! Seriously?!
Camera quality is noisy day or night.
Photos are over exposed.
hdr mode is a joke, the Pixel 6 and 6A murdering this phone blindfolded.
Portrait mode is like storm trooper trying to hit a tank 2 meters away and still miss the target.
Using video mode killing both battery and heats up the device badly, even without tapping the Record button the phone heats up..
Macro mode not kick's in automatically.
Using the Pro mode showing same results
Thought that upgrading to Android 13 will do any better but nothing was changed in the camera department...shame..
I have the Oppo Find X5 btw..
Came to see in the forum if other people are having such a worse camera experience with this phone as me.
This phone is the perfect textbook example of "doesn't matter how many/or high quality camera sensors you put in a phone, if the software is crap, the whole experience is crap".
Instead of making such a marketing about this "Marisilicone x" thing and other technical crap advertisement, Oppo could have spend this time more useful in the camera software development.
I'm surprised to say that my 7T Pro takes a lot better photo's than this phone.
My opinion of course...
Had Xiaomi Mi 11 before the Oppo and the Pixel, it actually demolishes the Oppo in every aspect.
With GCAM? it's perfect!
The Oppo does not have a proper GCAM either...

I really enjoy speed and fast charging, but just had p30 pro come back from repair and night photography destroyed x5 pro..., tried so many different setting, options, nothing help to come even close, I really hope future updates will fix this issue, now I am thinking what to do as p30 pro got brand new battery, motherboard and latest november patch.., should I keep it and sell x5 pro or other way...
that bad, I hoped it would be good
HDR is really a joke, for the price paid it seems like a bad joke... so far no update
