literally just testing the rating feature. I'm not sure if the 5 stars is default. Not able to tell if users are actually rating or not, because I am xda noob
*I learned by using the rating feature - posted 3 stars without actually testing the device. Mods: Feel free to delete this. As a new user I was unable to grok the meaning of the ratings until I used it myself.

Coming to the 3a XL from a Samsung S8+, on the Sprint network.
RF/radio/signal performance i've observed is better on the 3a XL. There's a particular take out spot i frequent, and for the 10 minutes or so i sit and wait for my order, i never bother to interact with the S8+ because it never gets any usable reception inside the place.
Since i'm so used to not having cell service inside this particular place, i went in as usual and didn't think much of it and calmly waited for my order. I was surprised to find the 3a XL sending and receiving data just fine, where the S8+ would be kaput.
Just my personal experience so far.

Reception is excellent, call quality is high. I never got much more than 2G or unusable 3G with my older phones (MotoG2015/MiA1/RedmiNote8) in my barber's waiting room. With the 3A I get a quite fast 4G

So far it's receiving signal better than my old 950xl and a s8. Noticeable difference as I have my work mapped out mentally as to where signal sucks(I thought) and where it's good.
10-20% signals on both previous phones at my desk, now it's a solid 60% WITH lte+ vs the others were always hopping between lte and 3g.
Mine appears to have a better signal then my older HTC and S8 plus.. Not to mention the GPS on Waze while on my S8 plus would sometimes be off and move around, so far my Razer has been perfect.
I am having in call issues. I am using Virgin Mobile on my Razer phone and one of my friend uses koodo on his one plus 5t.when on call I can hear him fine but he cannot hare me. He is the only person I have faced this issue with and same is for him. Not sure what the problem could be. Any thoughts.
Appears to be fine. I live in a remote area where coverage is scarce.

Like a freaking BoSS...
At my in-laws place, the network is so weak that with all my earlier phones, be it MiA1 or G6 or U11, I had to go outside to make a call that too at a particular place.
And FORGET about using Mobile data ever.
But then comes Nokia 7 Plus...
I call people from anywhere and everywhere...
I watched Chelsea vs Huddersfield live on Hotstar streaming.
While others suffered with their mobiles...
Freaking BAWSE
I would say that it is awesome. As a comparison my wife and I are on the same network and both of us had the same LTE network bands.
At times my wife's Mate 10 lite / nova 2i would lose signal and mine will still have excellent LTE signal.
But there's only one complaint is that the phone, despite of me selecting manual network, it will then change back to other network. ( I received 2 bands of LTE network at my place one is faster than the other and both have strog signal but it will always go back to the slower one).
Easily goes into 4G+ mode and hence, higher speeds.

Does anyone nokia 7 plus heat up during weak coverage...mine get extremely warm to 45C when coverage is very weak.

That's normal for most if not all phones. To avoid this try locking into a single network like 3G only if 4G is weak
Great signal quality and coverage here as well.
Like some phones( sony and samsung for example) it heats up a bit and use a lot of battery during low signal quality.

This may be an issue of the P3 having 600 and 700 MHz band support, but I get full LTE coverage in my office in a high-rise building where my Nexus 6 used to cut out on T-mobile. Nice improvement.
I can confirm that it is bellow the P20 in this category.
But nothing serious. Will compare further if I get the chance.
it's good, no complaints here. then again i live in the netherlands which has a full lte coverage.
Only a handful of countries/networks have CA combinations defined for them.
3x CA LTE-A works on those that are defined, otherwise you will stay on 2x CA max.
4x CA is only defined in a few MBNs (Vodafone DE and some French ones seem to be the only ones in Europe).
2x CA on uplink is not supported.
Here is a list for CA combinations on the Pixel 3/XL.

Otherwise 256QAM and 4x4 MIMO work fine. Reception wise its ok too.
It is however not the phone you would use if you wanted to go hunting for 1gbit LTE.
Hi guys not much info in here.. Did some research and turns out Pixel 3 phones are notorious for poor signal and call quality. Looking at how long the issue has been around for I'd put it down to actual hardware not being up to scratch. If you need a phone with good reception and/or make calls frequently then give this one a miss.
I cant post links for some reason? but look at issue 124412355 on google issue tracker
Seems fine with no major issues. Haven't had any dropped calls. Used the Essential Phone for a while and this is quite good compared to that phone with weekly dropped calls.

I would give any Sammy phone one to two stars for Cellular Strength. I have had them side by side with a Pixel and Moto and the Sammy fails every time. Very week to no service when the others have two to three bars. Sad!
1 star
Very poor signal strenth
Last week I was out with 3 other family members .
I had no signal at all but they all had 4g
The phones were iphone 10,pixel 3a and a samsung s9
All 4 of us are on EE .
Theres no excuse for this garbage
Note 10 plus 5g is a great multi device but fails terrible as mobile phone .
I returned a Note 10 plus and bought a new note 9 to replace my 8 it is equal to the 8 which was 4 out of 5. And I live in the woods with Verizon grandfather plan.

No 5g option when using dual SIM as far as I can see unless someone can show me otherwise.

It's awesome... At least for me... I've had the phone for about a month and I can say that I can keep a call going even if I get on the elevator on the 3rd floor and go to the garage on the basement of the building (my previous phone couldn't handle it and the call would cut off as soon as I entered the elevator). Never had any issues with others complaining about not hearing me or that the call had bad quality.
As for data... I found out that in my place there are some spots where 4G is better than my wifi so it has become the network of choice. No buffering issues, quick page loads and overall seamless browsing... It provides a great experience (Even in VR and 4K)
I'll be leaving for the countryside this weekend so I'll be able to update this post with further info... Only drawback is I can´t test 5G connectivity... It's still very rare around here....
