Bluetooth Keyboard Issue - Xiaomi Mi A1 Questions & Answers

I have an Avatto A18 bluetooth keyboard that pairs ok, and the touchpad on the keyboard is working fine. However, when I type something, the navigation keys at the bottom light up, showing that an "event" is at least recognized, but the letters don't show up.
I then tried to pair my Microsoft Wedge Keyboard and it paired ok, but the same issue with whatever I type not showing up occurs. This one doesn't have a touchpad to test, but the navigation buttons also light up.
So I believe it's not a keyboard issue, but a Xiaomi / Android Pie issue. I would appreciate any insight. Thanks!

Does anyone else have this problem at all? If so how did you solve it?

Non-working direction pad

Out the the blue, I discovered my direction pad/action key/answer keys/soft keys all stopped working - only when the keyboard is slided out.
Interestingly, the optical joystick works fine.
I'm using itje's 5.0 rom, but have since tried flashing back to 4.5 and stock R2A010, and the problem persists.
It HAS to be a hardware problem, right?
Nah, it's a hardware problem. The problem deterioriated & the screen now fades into blackness whenever the keyboard slides open. I suppose a broken electric contact somewhere is causing the prob, though I'd expect the sliding mechanism to be more durable for a phone at this price.

[Q] Issue with Magic Trackpad and Bluetooth Keyboard

I've been scouring the forums up and down looking for a solution to this problem, but I just can't figure it out.
See, I have a Targus Bluetooth Keyboard and an Apple Magic Trackpad. They both work great...by themselves. When both of them are connected, the keyboard starts to behave erratically. It lags, it repeats keystrokes, it even drops connections. Now obviously I'd like to use both my keyboard and my trackpad in conjunction, but this issue prevents me from doing that.
My question is, is there a solution to my problem? Where would I go about looking for information on how to solve it?
Just as a one-off, I'm running AOKP JellyBean Build 5 with Franco kernel.

[Q] Bluetooth Keyboard woes on 4.3

It's like I just can't ever get everything I want.
Updated to 4.3, and everything else is working swimmingly. It's the fastest my half-full Nexus 7 has ever felt. While bluetooth audio seems to work a little better, now my bluetooth keyboard is non-functional.
I'm using a Zagg, and it'll pair. I can enter the code. The Nexus seems to recognize what it is, but once it's all set up the keyboard is completely non-functional. It wont move around the home screens and it wont input in a text editor.
Any thoughts on how I might troubleshoot this further?

i9505 - issues with smart dock after lollipop upgrade

Hi all. I've looked for an answer to this issue, but to no avail.
I usually dock my s4 to samsung' s smart dock at home and I use it connected to a tv with mouse and keyboard attached for basic needs. Till lollipop upgrade everything worked flawlessy, now there are some issues:
Original TW: upon connection (power, hdmi etc), the screen goes off and appears on the tv, oriented and scaled to fill the display. this is fairly good, since I don't need anymore a rotation control app, the problem is that if the screen goes off, the only way to interact with the phone is via keyboard and mouse, which is annoying. does anyone know a way to control this behaviour?
GPE: the screen stays on upon connection, but sound is not sent through hdmi, only through the smart dock 3.5mm connectior
thanks, any hint appreciated

Touch Screen won't work not even with mouse

Hi!
I've recently bought a car that coincidently has a Android Head Unit (right now I don't have any specific version other than it looks a lot like the generic ones that have the touch buttons on the side) and it also has AGAMA car launcher, but the problem is that we can't get to click anything! I know/think the touchscreen is not the problem because when I try to do a calibration it does go to the 4 dots screen, but I'm not able to click on them. I've also tried using a keyboard/mouse combo but it does show up the cursor, but apart from that no click either, I also tested the volume and home/back button and they seem to work.
I've tried almost everything they had on youtube, and I've also disconnected the battery just in case but with no luck, does anyone know what could it be
Thanks!
