Clarity/resolution - OnePlus 7 Pro Real Life Review

The OnePlus 7 Pro has a crazy crisp display. Just kidding, this is automated text so who knows if this screen is any good. So, you be the judge! A higher rating indicates that it's extremely sharp and clear, and that you cannot see pixels with your naked eye.

The clarity of the screen is way better then any phone I have ever used and when watching 2k on this screen it's night and day over the display of the oneplus 6t don't get me wrong you get more battery life out of the oneplus 6t but it's because I am using 2k at 90hz all the time but if I am at work and have my phone at 100 when I get there at 8am and 4pm comes around my phone will be at 95-80% at the end of my work day.

This screen is simply amazing. My OP5 looks so bad next to it. I never had any issues with the OP5's display, but after seeing this screen... Damn it's hard to go back.

Glad OnePlus finally moved on from 1080p. The screen on this thing is the main reason I finally upgraded from my 3T. It's the best screen I've ever seen on a phone.

Happy. The reson why the 1+ 7 Pro is my first 1+ is because the others did not have a sufficiently defined screen .. with this resolution I am filled.

cross marks.
Has anybody seen checkerboard marks on the screen? Specially it's noticeable on mine in a white background.
Yup I got the checked board as well. Starting to get use it, but ruff when coming from AMOLED display.
I see it a little but hardly notice it.. If I hadn't seen it mentioned on here, I probably wouldn't have thought twice of it.
Screen looks perfect to me.

It seems a little soft to me
It's great for me and it's clear,my G6 plus
XT1926-8 have FM radio, Digital TV:good::good:
How about the contrast?
I had all amoled displays on my phones until my Nexus 5X, which is a bit unfair to compare to an amoled, but with that in mind it still has horrible contrast. Blacks are very grey. I've seen IPS panels that looked a lot better than the 5X does. I the G6 panel any better?
The screen is just fine. My last phone had an OLED screen, and while the colors were nice and vibrant, the screen ended up looking horrible after a year. You could clearly still see where the navigation bar was after it was hidden because it was normally always black, so those pixels won't degrade as quickly as the rest of the screen. So while the rest of the screen was dimmed, the bottom of the my screen looked almost brand new. So, I'm sticking with LCD for now.
So far, the screen is just fantastic! Extremely vibrant and has a very decent contrast with adjustable color temperatures if you want to fine tune. Only downside is that in direct very bright sunlight it is not as easy to view.

I have myopia with astigmatism for all my life. I don`t feel comfortable using small screens, like at all. My home pc monitor is 32"...
And this is the first time I have feel so comfortable using device with small screen to the level of using it for hours and hours without my eyes burning and hurting.
I actually started actively to limit how much time I spend using the phone because aside from being good screen is still small screen and could do bad to my eyes in the long run.
But man, the screen is really sharp. And the amoled black is really something else.
I like it very much!

The display is pure [email protected] for me. The resolution is too low for this size. The colors are perfect on other hand, but then there are the BLACK CRUSH and the green / magenta tint problems. So the display is [email protected] Good job Asus...
The most beautiful looking mobile phone screen I've seen yet!
Everything is so crisp and clear.
Fly in the ointment is the Black Crush issue...
After updating manually to the latest firmware ww-17.0823.2012.131, BC is a lesser.
It's still not as crisp as my OnePlus 7T.
NB, prior to updating firmware... I updated my Netflix (where BC was most apparent) to HD and this in itself made things a little cleaner looking.
I'm thinking if I upgraded to HDR+ on Netflix the BC bug woukd probably be a non issue.

somehow the first OLED phone I've had, 120hz is hella nice, color and brightness good, gets very dark for late night bed use
I was worried about dropping from a wqhd screen to this initially. took about 2 seconds to put my fears to rest. Big bright beautiful screen, super smooth - I'm so glad I went with this over anything else.
In terms of clarity, looks great, no complaints. In other areas of the screen in the other hand...
