hii developers
my problem is that my EFS folder with nv_data are corupted and i didn't make a back up so my imei is unknown and my simcard doesn't work, i want a know how to get my imei back.
i can give hem my imei on the back of my phone if he xould give me the nv_data file
please I need a help

I think your only option is to send it back to Samsung. The actual file that contains the imei is protected by a md5 hash from what i have read and cannot be edited or reproduced.

ok, if i send it back how much it would cost by american dollars, im from kuwait I had bought my phone from ebay sowhat can I do to send my phone to the Samsung Service Shop?

And you are sure, that you dont have backup files in your efs-folder? Have a second look into the efs-folder and chere if there are .bak files. If there are two .bak files you may restore you imei from these files if these arent backups from the corrupted files!

Sorry I can't till you now because my phone is in a repair shop if i get it back i will check if i have a back up.
but if i dont have a back up is there any way to get my nv_data back from my imei num? because i see that (qbanin) can get the nv_data from imei but not in the galaxy s
in the future could any one solve this problem?

EFS is personal if I'm correct , there is no use if someone gave there EFS.

If efs erased. efs be written with the same model. will be the only default imei.

Why would anyone give you their imei number?

Help: extracting i9500 imei from EFS image

My i9500 was stallen / i changed its IMEI before it stolen , i do not remember the imei ,
i have an EFS image of it.
is there any way to know imei from EFS backup?
i know i can restore it by Clockworld recovery to another phone
but no other i9500 in reach.
any solution?

I am not completely sure but try EFS Pro if it is compatible with your EFS backup file. There is PIT editor embedded to the program. This might perhaps allow you to find out IMEI code.

Thanks brother < but the PIT editor just to edit partition map
what i am looking 4 is how to extract IMEI from the bin files in the EFS partition.
i extracted the contents from efs.img but i am trying to find the IMEI in it .
Hex editor couldent help/

Looking for a QCN file

Hi all,
Managed to screw up my phone during a flash operation resulting in losing/corrupting my EFS partition and my IMEI number in the process. Being looking over all the Internet and I was able to find the procedure to follow to restore it but a need for a kind soul to send their QCN file to me, after previously of course changing their IMEI number to a dummy one.
For the ones not familiar to this but willing to help, please take a look at http://techsarjan.com/2016/10/fix-invalid-imei-problem-xiaomi-mobiles-miui-8.html for the restore IMEI one. Taking a backup of one is just going to the "Backup" tab of the QPST tool and the rest is obvious.

I would also would like to add that if you have problems in restoring the qcn file in the qpst tool, from the type of unable to open file, it's probably due to the fact that you're using the wrong file editor tool to change the imei. I was using ultraedit and it was screwing my file. Switched to hex editor and it solved the problem.

@dragonii @SAFI_AFRIDI It would be nice if you could post that file in here. I mean censored file in here. So future users will not have to beg for it.

In the meantime, I received from another source all the needed files (in Russian only) but with Google Translate, it should be ok for anyone to follow.
The QCN file, based on the filename, is for Redmi 4 Pro but I can confirm it worked also for the Prime model.

How did you repair the efs partition? I got my imei restored on my note 4x but haven't been able to fix the other parts that have gone wrong.

Anyone has x820 qcn file ?

I lost my imei, because I used command
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
now, IMEI become 00000000000. after I flashed qfil still not work.
someone can help me, or share your qcn file, let me restore it.

i guess you know how it works so heres the qcn file, pulled from my phone.
i deleted my imei, just search for the following text in a hex editor and replace it with your converted imei:

imei2here

I bet your IMEI is something like 86277603043226X... I guess it from the IMSI value, but anyway
I tried to put your QCN to X829 and it gets no network well that was probably expected.

I downloaded this file and tried to use it on IMEIRebuilder.exe. But IMEIRebuilder.exe crashes when opening this file.
Is it possible to get another blank QCN file for X820? And it is better to get this file with QFIL or QPST.

When I try to restore X820 blank qcn file to my X820. But QPST gives this error message:
The ESN of the phone does not match the ESN of this file containing RF calibration data
What should I do? Should I enable Allow ESN mismatch and force to restore this QCN? Is there any risk to damage my X820?
