[solved] trouble binding account in unlock status - Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Questions & Answers

So I have a sim and an sd card on my phone, and when I tried going to unlock status, the thing succeeded and I was like, ok, cool. Except, when I ducked back in to the unlock status, it does the same thing with asking for permissions and preparing to add my account again. When I tried using the unlock tool, it says the account isn't bound. Is there a way to make it stick?
Edit
nvm, I tried using the official unlock tool and it works.

I dont think there is any way to bypass an unlock code, however it was set. It is after all there to protect your phone from unwanted use. The only course of action I can sugest is to Hard Reset it back to factory settings which would erase the unlock code but would also erase all msgs, contacts, settings and installed appications on your phone. At least you would be able to get back into it though.

[Q] unlocked phone seems locked after factory reset?

Hello, I used the SIM unlock method from the thread here on XDA and was able to successfully unlock my phone and use it on a foreign network. A bit later I had a problem with my Bluetooth so I did a factory reset, and now the phone says 'sim not allowed mm #3' when i put in a foreign SIM.
The frustrating part is that when I go to the unlock menu there is a list of various logging methods, but every one of them says 'Phone is not personalized' which means the phone is unlocked, so there is no way to reenter an unlock code.
Is there a wwayas to check and change the software lock status?

Unlock code not working. Help please!

Hi.
I have purchased an unlock code from samsungsimunlock but my phone is still SIM locked. They sent me code along with a link to an app to download called Network Unlock app. I ran the app, entered the code, get a message saying phone is perma unlocked but when I insert a non Vodafone SIM, the phone, not the app, asks me for the SIM unlock code.
EDIT: Phone details:
Locked to Vodafone UK
Galaxy S8 SM-G950F
Android 7.0
Baseband version: G950FXXU1AQH3
Knox 2.8
I had rooted my phone and as the instructions from SSU said to, I removed the root and returned the phone back to stock (as far as I know)
Can any one help with this please? Is the unlock possible after knox has been tripped?
I would really appreciate any help,
Thank you
Try log in to your Samsung Account on a Desktop then, reboot your phone. - Helped me out a few times when I've not been able to log in.

I can't see how this would help...
Put this in your dialer #7465625*638*# then try your code on the network unlock screen. See if that makes a difference

K20 Pro Device Unlock error?

Hello. Im trying to use my old k20 on a new network. The doner sim card fuctions fine on 3 other teat devices. However it is not unlocking from Metropcs. Its been in my drawer for a while and can not find the original sim card. Whwn i insert working sim there is no Sim card detected. The Device Unlock app states both Pass and Fail.. What am i missing?
I have this message too, it basically is saying that the unlock fail because you (or somebody else) have already unlocked the device and have applied it. I just unlocked mine because I had forgot that I can so I can sell it, it worked and was approved, so it restarted and when I checked to see what it would say again, it gave me the "Unlock failed, Unlocked approved" message. In all, the phone is unlocked, but idk why it will still show the Metro PCS start up, aswell with all the bloat.

Unlocking the device doesn't automatically remove carrier bloatware and other signage. That's what the stock ROM for the phone will be like when it's bought as carrier locked.
As for the OP question, if the SIM works on other devices but not your K20, and you're sure it's carrier unlocked, have you tried doing a factory reset with the SIM card inserted beforehand? It may just be the stock ROM being stubborn or stuck with previous config data.

SIM activated and working, but account informations won't show it

Hi all,
I'm trying to unlock my Redmi Note 7 following the lineageos installation guide (https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/lavender/install), I get stuck at point 7 of "Unlocking the bootloader" section.
So, I haven't been able to unlock the phone yet because the Mi Unlock app fails at 99% reporting a generic error "Could not unlock device".
While I was repeating the procedure I noticed that, even though my sim is perfectly working (I have been using it for a couple of years now) and I have already connected it to my account, it shows that it is not activated. So I think, since it is a requirement for unlocking the phone, that this could be the problem.
I could not find anything useful online, since all problems related to the sim activation actually refers to a not working sim or detection problem, while I have a perfectly functioning connection (both data and sms) and the phone obviously detects it.
Any help?
Thanks
You test to change the SIM port

I tried multiple times and the sim works in both cases but the result (in the screenshot above) is the same.
You activate it the SIM under developer osptions?
Yes, and it does it succesfully. Even though I can keep doing it and it keeps saying something like "account is now connected to this device", but the button is still there and I can *add it* again (I guess there is no check).
