bismillah ar rahman ar rahim
Hello Guys today i will show you how you can Flash ur device with TWRP and Root it without waiting 7 Days and get locked out of ur device.
The first thing i have to say is, sorry for my broke english, i am from Germany.
I will teach you step by step how u can done this without Problems.
Please confirm that OEM-LOCK is enabled
The first thing i do is flashing the newest 4 file Rom for the G955F the name of the ROM is G955FXXU4DSCB its a DBT ROM you can Download it via Samfirm. And please choose the CSC_OXM as CSC in Odin because i had problems with the HOME_CSC after i flash Back from Rooted Phone to Stock Rom why ever.
Complete the Setup and ensure that u have Signal on your Network, it dont work for me without Signal. after that change our date seven days later and go to Build Number tap it 5 times and go to dev settings confirm that OEM-LOCK is activated reboot your Phone and go to Download Mode by holding Vol Down + Bixby + Power Untick on ODIN 3.13 Auto Reboot after that Flash the newest TWRP after Flash is done Press Vol- Down + Bixby + Power Down when Screen goes of press immediately Vol Up + Bixby + Power and go to the Recovery and swipe to Allow Modifications Format Data by Pressing on Wipe and then Format Data confirm with yes Flash RMM-STATE BYPASS and no-verity-opt and Magisk Download RMM-STATE BYPASS AND NO-VERITY here u can Download Magisk and the APK for Magisk you are almost done. Now reboot your Phone and wait... After booting up in setting wizard make sure to uncheck diagnostic data after that complete the Setup please do not add Google Account or somethng like this until you complete the complete Progress. Wait and check your Signal if u have Signal change your date 7 Days later and go to Build Number tap it 5 times and go to Dev Settings and check if OEM LOCK is available now and activated you can now install the Magisk APK to feel the Power of Root

I have no idea what to do or how to fix this as i am a complete novice when it comes to Android,
Can someone please help me??
Go to sammobile .com firmware section
Enter your model S5
Select your region from the dropdown
Download a stock ROM (Free account needed)
Flash with ODIN
Instructions and links to ODIN under the download
Next time, come to XDA to learn how to root, instead of afterwards when you've already bricked it
Thanks for your quick reply and in the process of downloading firmware now and have just installed odin,
Yep your right mate i should have done bit more research before jumping into rooting it

Your phones version should be marshmallow 6.0.1 dont use this if your version is lollipop
Prerequisites:
Odin,Twrp, samsung usb drivers, supersu beta by chainfire,a computer and usb cable
Links for download is below
Procedures:
1.install samsung usb drivers to your computer
2.copy twrp file to your computer in desktop(if its extension is .zip then extract it, then if its .img then leave it)
3.copy odin file to your pc in desktop and extract it
4.copy supersu file to your internal memory, be sure to memorize where you put the file
5.open odin.exe file in desktop, go to option, untick auto reboot, and leave everything else.
6.from your phone go to developer options, (to go there click build number many times) now find oem unlocking and enable it .. (Just to be sure remove google account and screen lock to avoid frp lock)
7.power off your phone and go to download mode(to go there, hold power button, volume down button, and home button simultaneously, and press volume up to enter dl mode)
8.plug your phone to pc (be sure you followed step 4 or else you may get dm verification) just follow everything else correctly and your good to go
9.now go to odin and click AP button,a file explorer will appear and find the twrp file and select it and then click start
10.you will see the message in odin PASS
11.this is important step.... Now click all the button of your phone, as soon as it gets out to download mode quickly unpress volume down leaving only power, home, volume up button
12 keep pressing those 3 buttons until you will see red message in upper left but just ignore it and keep pressing the button
13 and now twrp will be open and it will say allow modification? Be sure supersu file is already stored in your phone storage to apply patch
Now swipe right to allow
14. Now go to the box saying install and find your supersu file and select and install it(swipe right to install)
15.Super su file will be installed and patch will be applied and after it is done, click reboot system..
Now your phone will reboot and wait
You now have root access and custom recovery installed , to check root, download supersu in play store and root checker,

Flashing Stock Rom with Odin on Galaxy S7 Edge (Exynos)

I bought the phone from out of my country and I'd like to flash my country's firmware (without triggering KNOX) for getting better signal, proper connection info (Lte+ , 4.5G)
I flashed the firmware via Odin (putting BL, AP, CP and CSC in their area) and nothing has changed in the phone (CSC etc.). Is there something should be done before flashing stock firmware via Odin?

Before you flash through odin make sure you wipe data and cache through stock recovery on the s7 edge, then flash your countrys stock firmware when its done dont let your phone complete the first boot. Make sure you wipe data and cache through the recovery after this let it boot up. It now should be on your countrys csc.

So I need to go into stock recovery by pressing volume up + home button + power button and select wipe cache partition, power down the device, volume down + home button + power button into download mode, flash stock firmware. After flashing the firmware it automaticly restarts and boots up. How can I wipe cache before it boots up?

You need to wipe cache and wipe data factory reset before and after the stock firmware flash. Also when it says pass on odin or it disconnects have your phone ready in your hand so when the screen goes black hold the recovery button combination and let go when you see the samsung logo. If the phone stars turning on just hold power + volume up + home button, when the phone shuts off let go of the buttons and very quickly hold them again and let go when the samsung logo appears.

I don't want to sound contradictory, but I have flashed quite a few different firmwares on my S7 Edge and I never had to go through the steps you suggested to get a successful flash.
Here are the steps I have done:
1) Make sure phone has OEM unlocked in Developer Settings
2) Select USB Debugging in Developer Settings
3) Download firmware that I want to us - Unzip and place AP, BL, CP and CSW in the correct slots in Odin.
4) Flash via Odin
5) Reboot
Also make sure you are using the latest Odin - "Odin-3.12.3"
I don't know if enabling USB Debugging is necessary but I have always included that step - I beleive making sure OEM unlock is selected is necessary. (do this in developer settings - to activate developer settings go to About Phone, Software Info, click on Build Number a bunch of times until you see "developer settings has been enabled".
I have updated firmware at least 7 times since I purchased the S7 EDge, maybe more, following those same steps every time and never had an issue. Not once.
That was my experience - as anything when flashing roms, YMMV.
Good Luck

OEM unlock and usb debugging is unnecessary when flashing stock firmware.
You need OEM unlock only when you flash something custom (TWRP, custom rom, root, etc) or else phone won't boot.

You don't need to do what I am saying for a successful flash. You only need to do this when you want to change your csc without root

Nougat is still not available for your country..So you have flashed latest stock 6.0.1 firmware using odin? Still you are not getting network signal? After flashing stock firmware don't restore your efs, it will be restored automatically after flashing...Now just again flash the stock 6.0.1 available on sammobile and after flashing when you see Samsung logo, simply press volume down+power button now your screen will turn off..immediately Press volume up+power+home button simultaneously untill you see Samsung galaxy logo, now release keys and you will boot into stock recovery..From there choose wipe data/factory reset option..After reset, reboot your phone..And see if singal back again or not?

(for providing the latest firmware for SM-J710FN )
Recommended Installation Flow:
FOR OBTAINING ROOT
1. Extract Odin v3.11.1.zip to your computer.
2. Install SAMSUNG_USB_Driver 1.5.61.0 for Odin to find your device.
3. Before flashing is better to go to recovery and do a FACTORY RESET of your phone
4. Reboot your device into Download mode. To do this, select reboot from the power menu and hold the [Volume Down] + [Home] buttons
while your device reboots.
5. Open Odin as an administrator and choose your 4 files
1. BL_ J710FXXU2AQA8
2. AP_J710FXXU2AQA8
3. CP_ J710FXXU2AQA4
4. CSC_J710FOXY2AQA2
6. Wait for Odin to update the files
7. Connect your phone and wait for Odin to see it , then press Start and wait until you will see PASS and your phone will reboot.
8. Wait for the phone to reboot and do a minimum set up basic just to be able to open Developer options ( after rooting with TWRP you will do
again the set up because you will format data to eliminate encryption in order to be rooted)
9. In your ROM, go to Settings -> About device. Tap 7 times on Build number to enable Developer options.
10. Now go to Settings -> Developer options. (above About device)
You need to enable OEM unlock, otherwise you might end up with boot problems or be unable to flash later on.
11. Make sure your don't have Factory Reset Protection enabled in your Google account or you may never be able to boot again!
More information: https://support.google.com/nexus/answer/6172890?hl=en
12. Download the .tar image of TWRP for j7xelte (twrp-3.0.3-1 sm-j710fn).
13. Reboot your device into Download mode. To do this, select reboot from the power menu and hold the [Volume Down] + [Home] buttons
while your device reboots.
Once you reach the Download mode warning screen, press [Volume Up] to continue.
14. Open Odin and place that twrp-3.0.3-1 sm-j710fn tar file in the [AP] slot, under Options tab disable Auto Reboot, then press [Start].
15. Once the flash is complete (Odin should tell you in the log, and progress bar on phone should stop), you can pull the battery then place the
battery back in. Now hold [Volume Up] + [Home] + [Power] buttons until you reach recovery mode.
If you end up in stock recovery, start again from download mode step.
16. At this point, you will reach the screen asking you if you want to allow system modifications.
You will want to swipe to allow, otherwise the OS will replace TWRP once you boot!
17. FORMAT DATA to delete encryption without any patch kernel , the recovery will ask you if you are sure , write yes , and then you will see
there are no errors.
18. To be sure you are safe press DELETE Dalvik cache after FORMAT DATA.
19. Go back to TWRP and on the install choose SuperSU-v2.79-SR2.zip
20. After flash SuperSU-v2.79-SR2.zip you are rooted
21. Go to [Reboot] -> [System].
22. Enjoy the new J710FXXU2AQA8 rooted
Hope you will enjoy the new stock firmware on your J710FN
And for the one who really want all the Samsung crap application to be removed I found and did some changes on a zip made by @TENN3R (Originally made by @ambasadii . Thanks both of you man) and finally come here with this work. Hope you'll love it.
I have tested this zip few times on my device (SM-J710FN) and there's no any fc or issues. So i think it's worth trying.
But as we all say here, I'm not responsible if your device get bootloops, your wife hits you or your dog bites you for some reasons.
Do not forget to hit thanks button
This is made for my personal use of the phone , day by day , and the battery keeps for more than 2 days now.
If you want To know which apps it removes and if you want to keep some system apps, open zip, copy updater script on your pc, open updater script with notepad++, check all apps names one (takes hardly few minutes) and if you want to keep any app in system and don't want to remove it, just remove that whole line. For example, if you want to keep "GoogleContactsSyncAdapter", remove line contains that app name ? runs ("/sbin/rm", "-rf", "system/app/GoogleContactsSyncAdapter"); ? including semicolon same as shown here.
To install the Debloater script :
1. After you complete the setup of your phone with SuperSU-v2.79-SR2.zip
2. Copy J7_710FN_DeBloater2017 on your internal storage
3. Reboot to recovery
4. Flash this zip and wipe dalvik/cache
5. Reboot to system and you'll see that almost all junks is removed.
Please read carefully the installation procedure because I'm not responsible for damage to your equipment or loss of warranty!
