Finally a root for the Crosscall Action X3 - Crosscall Smartphones

Hi everyone,
Since the X3 is two years old, I was wondering if anyone had found a way to root this phone that hasn't been posted on this forum?
I tried all the "classic" ways to root it but none worked.
Rooting would be great since the only thing this phone misses is a good amount of RAM, which can be fixed only by rooting.
PS: Alternatively, is there a way for me to "create" a root by myself?

[Q] Verizon S5 - 4.4.2 upgrade to 4.4.4 - whats best?

Samsung S5 - Verizon
SM-G9000V
Running 4.4.2 (ANCG)
Rooted with TWRP / SAFESTRAP / SUPERSU / XPOSED FRAMEWORK
so here's the question.
I've run across numerous different ways to upgrade to 4.4.4
1) now that some time has gone by since this release was originally put forth, what has been decided is the best way to upgrade and retain root? Or at least regain root with minimal to no loss to rooted applications and their data?
2) If phone requires wiping, what is the best way to bring it back to as close to exactly how it was in look and feel, settings, tweaks etc?
Background : I won't ever post a question without having done a lot of research I don't want to waste anyones time and if they've already written it I certainly will take the time to read it. I currently have
Titanium Backup Pro
SuperSu
TWRP
SAFESTRAP
My Backup Pro
Each variation of restoring payphone seems to offer different aspects. Titanium backup seems to do a good job of restoring apps, TWRP seems to do a pretty good job of bringing back other portions.
I wanted to see if we can get 1 clear post, that says if youre on 4.4.2 ANCG, and you want to upgrade to 4.4.4, latest build, :
1) Here's how to do it, even if its a quick link to the correct instructions or the most relevant and accurate ones.
2) IF the phone has to be wiped, reset, or any loss of anything in order to do that, here's how to bring it back the simplest cleanest way.
would love to see this wrapped up in one clean and simple easy discussion. I realize this information is in scattered bits and pieces all through the forums. I've read everything I could find. It's hard to tell which post came out before someone found a better way and after someone found the best way and then what way ended up being the endorsed way excetera excetera. Very hard to tell from all of the variations.
Therefore seems like a fresh thread with really clear instructions as of todays date - THIS is the best way, would really be helpful to a lot of people and I would be very appreciative for your help
I really really enjoy reading all the great things you guys post, been an avid reader for about a year now, and just continue to be amazed at the incredible depth of helpful expertise and knowledge that I find on here.

Huawei P8: to Root or not to Root, thats the question

Hi everyone,
Ever since my first Android device one of the first things i did after unboxing was unlock and root
Now with this device i dont see the necessity of rooting it, because everything i needed root for is adjustable.
The only thing i miss it for are the ads in the apps.
Who is gonna convince me to root it?

Just think of: Adaway, Lucky Patcher, Emoji Switcher (if you, like me, hate the Android Emojis)... I have already rooted, and I'm super happy with it
install adguard. with vpn mode it can block adds in apos and browsers without root
i rooted mine but i didnt know about huawei devices, i was used to use cynaogen mods so was thinking i will be able to flash mods and apps there too. As the time showed up, Emui is highly modified android and with most of mods uncompatible , no xposed support, so i dont see much reasons to root device with EMUI yet, but of course, delete all useless google apps is good think
I have root on my p8 because i started using viper4android and I cant listen to music on my phone without viper anymore ^^
So root is a must have for me!
Good thread btw.
I would root it but can't do much with root on P8.
Any good mods working on P8?
I have already tryed the custom rom, but came back to stock
There are some guys working on porting CM to P8, but who knows when will e available.
Maybe OP can do a list in first post with working mods for P8
If someone has good mods for P8 post or pm them and i will put in the first post.

I have rooted mine. It's a fairly straightforward process although different then my previous Samsung devices. Unfortunately there's no Xposed support and even though I have TWRP no ROMs yet :crying:
There is only one custom rom: fRomFuture, based on Lollipop

How to root this device?
@djg269, same here - no use for root so far since I purchased it in Feb2016, so haven't done it.

How to

How to root non common phones get a custom recovery and custom rom
Hi guys
It is just recently when I've started learning more and more about the Android and the various things you can do with it. (This can be long so you may just want to skip to the last line) Until recently I've only used my phone only for it's basic functionality.
But I'm nowhere near a developer and I really want to learn more.
I have this device called Infocus M535 Android 6.0 (which is obviously not a popular device I'm sure a lot of you haven't even heard about it). And I just regret buying it. Cause I have tried a lot of rooting method but nothing seems to work for me. I've tried kingoroot, kingroot as well. Then I learned that you don't necessarily need to have root access to install a custom recovery like twrp but then there is no official version of it available. I've seen many people YouTube having twrp on this device, I tried asking them but no response from them.
I cannot even think about getting a custom rom for this thing because I know nobody is working on that. And tbh I don't even care about getting a custom rom. All I need is a way to root this thing.
I know this thing is old and I should get a new device but Please please please help me because I just can't afford getting a new phone.
Any help Will be really appreciated

Blu studio mega s910q android 8.1.0 (need root)

Hello, this device is relatively new and it is mid-range, but it is a good terminal, the developers believe that they should make it an appropriate root to be able to have all the advantages. please, let me know if there is any root for this model that has android 8.1.0. Thank you
I have the phone too, its mediocre but I feel it could do much more rooted with proper apps.
I don't have any knowledge of rooting so I can't do any technical or "long way" methods. However I tried ALL the "One-Click" root methods with & without a PC, NONE as worked. Most saying they can't work with this device.
A lot of people won't have a Blu phone let alone a newer low priced one, so I doubt much answers will come thats simple. But Please let me know also if anybody can help

Ordered OP8Pro, need helpful advice/guidelines

Hello XDA.
Ive spent a few hours now reading OP8P forums, and got some rough idea of what I'm getting my self into.
I bought a OP8P, its coming to me within next 10 days. I bought it brand new from T-Mobile in Croatia (Europe).
This is my first time owning a Oneplus, my current phone is Galaxy S7, before that i had an S5... On these two i got some experience with custom roms, rooting, flashing, twrp.... But i didnt do anything to my phone in the last 2 years, its been stagnant... and the knowledge i gained... well, if you don't use it, you lose it..
It always seemed that oneplus had great support in XDA community, but from all these threads I read in past few hours, i gathered some confusing conclusions.
What i expected when i made the purchase is that I would be able to have a stock up-to-date OxygenOS, with root (magisk), twrp, xposed, banking apps working, youtube vanced, photochrome camera...
But..... seems like i would have to go through a lot of trouble achieveing all of these things, deciding between OOS 10 vs 11, if they're even achievable with some of the knowledge i kept from my samsung days...
So here are a few questions i would like answers for...
1. When i get the phone and start it for the first time, am I going to be running OOS 10 until i manually upgrade?
2. Do you suggest I stay on OOS10 or upgrade to OOS11?
3. If i upgrade to OOS11, can I have any of the stuff i mentioned that i expected?
4. I saw some user saying if I decide to root, i should not be using modified/patched boot.img... Why is that? (btw i don't recall ever doing this back in day, would love some info about it...)
5. Is TWRP possible, whats the new META?
4. Is there anything else i should know before doing anything, also I wouldn't mind if you would explain all this to me like im five years old
Thanks in advance!
I'm a op8pro owner, and I have Magisk (22.0), and root without twrp (no recovery yet suported for android 11 on this device). You have to patch boot.img with Magisk. Not a big head ache.
Photocrom camera not working on 11 as before on android 10, and I tried two existing methods (it works, but no "X-ray" feature).
Since android 11 is in its stable release, new devices should come with it, but not sure.
All apps mentioned, Root and non Root are working just fine,
Thanks for replying.
Could you possibly link the guide which I should follow, and save me from something outdated, since I might not be rooting my OOS11 from inactive slot on OOS10
Thanks again!
