Nova launcher /battery - Samsung Galaxy S10+ Questions & Answers

Hi, why is my Nova launcher using so much battery ?? how does it look with you ??

It's normal, the launcher is the most used app on every phone, also that percentage isn't battery drain but the app's time being on, if you want stats you need to touch Battery Usage.

Because dev changed something and doesnt want to admit it. Well he can't fool me! New nova launchers after version beta 5 or 6 are using your device sensors, and that isnt good for battery... Thats why i am using versions before beta 6 that dont have these problems.

Unfortunatly Nova now uses too much battery. Do you know an alternative launcher?
I need the function to lunch a second app with a Swipe on the icon of the principal app. I can't find this in any other launcher

I'll have to monitor mine but currently Nova is only using 1% on mine. Maybe because I only have 2 widgets?

It's a pity because a cool launcher can update something to improve

Pretty wide statement. I've used nova on my S10+ since I got it and nova doesn't even show up in my apps list for battery usage

Nor mine
Maybe a dodgy widge

Facebook oom?

So the 2/25/13 update came and now I'll get random FC's.
So I looked at the debug log and it has repeated Oom's,
Is anyone else experiencing this?

For me it works fine after the latest update, no fcs. All stock rom unrooted...

go to the sevens main settings, apps, find the facebook app then clear its data.

Percent battery indicator - incorrect.

Has anyone problems with percentage battery indicator? I mean, the battery stay on 15 % for long time and then drain quick to 7 %, stay, and drain to 1 % and and stay there. Is phone broken or what ? Reboot can fix the percentage indicator but it is not a solution.

Which percentage battery indicator are you talking about. Is it an app? the quick settings? Or the status bar icon which you customized with a custom ROM?

I am using cm, the same problem is in settings.

No which battery indicator are you referring to?

Battery status which is the same as the one in settings. I don't use any third parts app. I use CM, so yes it is a custom rom.

So the battery on the status bar?
Did you factory reset before flashing CM?
Try flashing a updated or more stable version of CM. If not possible, do a reset.
It often happens for battery to drop quite fast at low voltages.

Tap to wake

Hello,
I know this has been descused several times but I just wanna know if there's any kernel with that feature or one that should include it.
Why just samsung devices have not this in all the kernels around...
I have with devil kernel with duration limits for saving battery
it work?

Both devil and agni have touch wake but it's not the double tap if that's what you mean. If you set the touch wake for too long your battery will not last long

I'll give one of these kernels a shot and stick with the more battery friendly
Thx guys

They are both great kernels I've run them both. Devil has lots of options and can dual boot but agni is rock stable and slightly more battery friendly

I'll go with Agni then as I'm using this phone for work and need it to be most stable possible with efficient battery
Thx
Is there a version compatible with aosp 4.4 based rom, I'm using PAC rom right now ?
There is an agni version for aosp 4.4 but i haven't tried it. Devil kernel is compatible with both stock 4.3 and aosp/cm 4.4

Ok, just installed it and it looks pretty promising and the touch to wake works as advertised, hope the double tap to wake option a la LG will (could) be included any time soon, really appreciate that feature on my Xperia Z.
Thx again.
How is the tab to wake Option in agni?

It is touch wake in agni and devil. The screen stays awake for the time you set so when you touch the screen it comes back on. It works well when you are reading, you only have to touch the screen to wake it up

Neak kernel has it too

I guess the first question is what's the battery life you are currently getting? What may be acceptable to you may not be to others and vice versa.

It's about 4 hours of SoT with random draining, not sure whether it may be from Chrome or Samsung Browser

Mine is not too much different than yours honestly if I can get through the day with the few hours of screen on time and then stick it on the charger at night before I go to bed I'm a happy camper

Whats wrong with minimum capacity? And why u bother with 3d party apps, it says 3000 up and 4000 down, its badly coded probably, check in main settings battery capacity.
Same for me here with Battery monitor widget.
I used Battery monitor widget with all my phones and the displayed mA was concordant with factory capacity.
Battery monitor widget display 4000 mA.
Read DESCRIPTION of the app, it literally says it isnt accurate!
