You want tablet ui? Go 133 or lower, down to 130. If not, I think 140 is a nice resolution.

Smaller numbers means higher density on Android. Try it
I run mine at 145/150 for a little added space but not too much.
Are you on stock or cm/AOKP?

If you aren't going to listen and try what people are suggesting, then don't ask for advice. Seriously. LOWER your dpi to get a HIGHER density.
You can't change the actual resolution of the display. It is going to be 1024x600 (or 600x1024, depending on how you hold it) regardless of the DPI. All changing the DPI will do is change how images scale on the screen and in apps. If you change the DPI setting though, you are going to break market functionality. If you want to give yourself more room on the screen, lower the DPI setting. If you want stuff to be bigger, raise the DPI setting. However, doing either can lead to problems besides the market not working right.

Gallery App

Hi all! Has anyone else noticed when viewing photos or videos through the Gallery App that there's a noticeable difference in colour? Much like using Composite over RGB Scart, the colours appear to be washed out. It even affects other apps in Multi-Window too.
Anyone?
Go into Gallery, select any album, look at all photos within that album to get an idea of how they look, then start a sideshow. You'll notice the colours are a lot more vibrant during the slideshow (like they are when using any other app) compared to when viewing photos manually. Why is this?

It was on, but there's still a noticeable difference. I'm using an unrooted GT-N7100, running 4.1.1. It's only when viewing photos/videos in the Gallery app and videos in the Video Player app, not navigating.

When you tap 'Start Slideshow,' you can actually see the colours change for a split second before the screen goes black and starts the slideshow. You can also see this in 'Crop.'
Most of the rom araond here are castom and working with the new gallery 4.2

i got an error with some app and one launcher( i think themer ) because of this resolution , why not 1920*1080 ?

Use the search or your brain. The navbar don't count in as a display. So the few missing resolution is reserved to the navbar

I find the preset one to be good enough for me (i like everything small too)
Go to settings > display > screen zoom and font
pull down the sliders on both screen zoom and font size to the bottom and press apply
