Unbranding UK EE S10+ - Samsung Galaxy S10+ Questions & Answers

My phone is due for delivery at some point today and i was hoping to flash the UK BTU firmware to it straight away so I get futute updates quicker but noticed people saying they can't change CSC but that seems to be from people in the US. Anyone know if this will work with our Exynos phones?

G935F/G935FD on US T-Mobile -- VOLTE and Samsung Pay both possible? Just one?

So I've been trying to piece together my options for firmware for the G935FD, to replace my G935T on T-Mobile in the US. There seem to be several fixes to get around the loss of certain services, but does anyone have a definitive answer currently on what firmware can address what?
It sounds like the Czech T-Mo firmware will get you VOLTE, but not sure about EVS (and probably not Samsung Pay?).
There are multiple firmware options that will allow Samsung Pay, it seems, with a lot of people having luck with the version for the United Arab Emirates. But I'm guessing no VOLTE?
I recall seeing where someone claimed to have flashed US T-Mo firmware and was able to keep all services, but I'm not sure how that's possible on the Exynos...
Is there a solution to allow both on T-Mo in the US? Wifi calling at all possible, or is that just a pipe dream? What about this other, recently announced EVS stuff? Can anyone point me in the right direction?
@Rydah805 can comment on Samsung pay (he's not rooted I believe), we're both on the latest build for Orange Spain (G935FXXU1APEK_G935FAMO1APEK_AMO). It also has wifi calling which seems to set up but I haven't managed to place a call on wifi yet...

Yeah, I'm not rooted and as @Remix22 said, on the latest Orange Spain firmware. Unfortunately I don't have my device on hand, I'm getting it swapped due to a gap between the glass and the side metal frame, but WiFi calling is present. I hadn't tested it out, I assumed it was working but it was reported it didn't do anything...? Anyways, I know Singapore is currently testing Samsung Pay but I don't have any clue if that CSC supports VoLTE and WiFi Calling.
I wish Samsung would follow the footsteps of other manufacturers and make one single setup and have it setup based on SIM. (They already do this actually with certain features... like "Identify unsaved numbers.")

IDK if anybody wants to test the latest CSC firmware from Brazil? I know they're also testing Samsung Pay. It has the latest build log: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/72867/G935FXXU1APER_G935FYTO1APER_ZTO/
So is Samsung Pay working well for you on the Spanish firmware? And do you know if you were able to get LTE data while on a phone call?

S7 EDGE AT&T To Vodafone

Hi guys,
I ordered my galaxy s7 edge online, it was a refurbished phone from America but came unlocked. Everything works okay with my Vodafone UK sim but the phone still has a lot of the AT&T carrier stuff and automatically sets my billing address to the US and my currency to dollars when I downland an app.
Is there a way I can totally wipe the phone and load Vodafone UK's version of the software onto my phone?
Thanks
Ross

As per the information provided by you, your device model is G935A which is ATT Model. In order get rid off all the stuff(Bloatware), just flash G935U Firmware through ODIN
Will Samsung Pay still work with G935U?

Hi thanks for the reply. How easy is that to do?
I have samsung pay on installed on this phone but unfortunately samsung pay isn't available in the UK yet. Android pay does the job though.
I just read a bit into it... Am I right in saying that flashing it to G935U that will give me a carrier free firmware but that will still be USA software so only solving half the problem?

ATT Update - CHECK, T-Mo Update - CHECK, International Model Update - X

So yeah about a year ago when I purchased my International S7 I was so happy and thinking my friends got subsidized ATT and T-Mo versions of S7 will have bloatware and they wont update to 7 for years and I couldn't be more wrong. Both ATT and T-Mobile units got updated already and they're laughing at my international model and all bloatware all of they can be simply disabled and stuff. I never buy international version again (Unless Exynos9 is so OP I have to get it)
On top of that I looked at my CSC and it's from PAK (Pakistan) I mean got damn it I be all "stan" countries getting update last if any at all. I wish it was one of the European countries. Anyhow bottom line is this. The reason I got International version to get UPDATES because thinking SIM-FREE version don't have to mess with carriers blocking and tweaking updates. Well WRONG. And Bloatware like I said features can be disabled and if you think about programs that pre-installed, just disable them or something and space that they take .... I mean come on now, grab a sd card.
I am REALLY upset on this, I was hoping to get update for MY version of the phone without ODIN re-flash crap. I think I am forced at this point to update manually. SAD
can't you just update your international model once to another European Baseband DQB7 or whatever CSC type so when that 'chain' gets updates, you get updates too? Does it not work like that?

No updates at all

I bought my S8 few weeks ago and it is still stuck on Nougat with December security updates. It is Polish distribution and from what I heard they are getting Oreo for a few days now, but mine still nothing. Not even newer security updates. Is it possible that my updates are somehow blocked if I don't use phone in Poland?
It could be worse, you could be with EE in the UK who are famed for being one of the slowest operators in the world when it comes to software updates.

Best firmware for a S10+ SM-G975U on French networks?

I've already posted on Reddit looking for advice, but realised I might be more likely to get some good answers here. I’ll start with the TL;DR… What stock firmware (preferably without bloatware) should I flash on a Verizon Galaxy S10+ SM-G975U that’s going to be used in France with a French SIM, to get the best network coverage?
Some more info: I bought a refurbished Galaxy S10+ which was said to be an unlocked model originated in Europe. Turns out it was shipped from the US, and is a Snapdragon-based Verizon phone.
To get rid of all traces of Verizon, I successfully flashed U1 XAA firmware downloaded with Frija (SM-G975U1, XAA, June 1 2021 Security Patch Level) which did get rid of the bloatware, and now doesn't have the Verizon startup screen. Success? Not quite...
On this firmware, 4G signal doesn't seem to get picked up as easily as when it was on the original Verizon firmware. It also shows LTE rather than 4G in the notification bar as it did before flashing the U1 firmware.
My S9+ (Exynos 'F' model, flashed with French non-carrier firmware) gets 4G signal (-115 dBm 25 asu) on a certain spot on my desk. In the exact same spot, the S10+ gets H (-101 dBm 19 asu), and I struggle to find a spot in the house where it gets LTE/4G. This makes me wonder if some required frequency bands aren't supported on this firmware?
I'm wondering whether the U1 firmware was not the best option after all? If U1 isn’t the way to go, what firmware version would you suggest? Should I go back to U firmware instead, or maybe go for the Canadian W XAC unbranded firmware? Not sure if there's even a version of U firmware that doesn't come with carrier branding + bloat...
Basically, I'm looking for stock firmware without carrier bloatware, that'll work well on the SFR network in France, and ideally show 4G in the notification bar. It's actually a surprise birthday gift for my wife too, so I'm trying to prepare it for her so she has the best experience with the phone as possible.
Cheers in advance for any advice! You might help me save this from being a bit of a disaster of a birthday gift
Quick update. I've flashed SM-G975W XAC (unbranded Canada) firmware, and now the phone picks up LTE signal in parts of the house where it would only get E signal whilst on SM-G975U1 XAA firmware. So I know that the Canadian firmware is at least a bit better in my situation.
However, the LTE speeds are still between 25%-50% of what I get on my S9+ Exynos on French unbranded firmware using the same SIM. And obviously the phone still shows LTE in the notification bar, rather than 4G.
I might try going back to Verizon firmware to see if the LTE/4G performs better, which might be the best route to go, even with the bloatware and Version branded annoyances.
Ok, I thought it might be best to post my last update to close this off, in case it helps anyone else who stumbles on it in future.
I was going to do back-to-back tests on U1 XAA, W XAC, U VZW and U CHA firmware, in that order, to see what would work best and give a good 4G signal.
I started with flashing the latest U1 XAA, which had the same poor signal and only showed LTE in the notification bar and not 4G, as before.
Next up, I flashed the same W XAC (Canadian non-carrier) firmware as before, but this time I left my SIM card in the phone. Out of paranoia I'd always removed it when flashing, but when the phone booted up it showed 4G in the notification bar, not LTE like before, and signal strength and speeds were good!
So I stopped there and have stuck with SM-G975W XAC firmware. It seems to have achieved what I want—decent performance on the French SFR network, without bloatware, and correctly displaying 4G—so I decided not to push my luck and stop flashing any more firmware versions, just in case I end up with an expensive paperweight.
