Installing Jasminetool in Debian Linux - ZTE Trek 2 Questions & Answers

All,
Not exactly a noob, but having a lot of trouble with the above. There are excellent instructions for installing TWRP via Jasminetool for Windows, but I can't get the drivers to play nice in Windows 10 & moved to Debian instead.
The Linux instructions are much more sparse. I've downloaded the .img file & another file labeled jasminetool-linux; the latter is called a shared library in its properties tab.
The Linux instructions say to run the jasminetool command after placing the device in edl mode. But they say nothing about what do to with the jasminetool-linux file after downloading. Is it to be installed somehow or placed in one of the /lib folders? I've tried several variations on placing the file in various /lib folders, running variations on apt install & attempting to run jasminetool from a command line within it's folder.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated; apologies if there is an obvious answer. Many thanks, JGB

Thanks for the quick reply, juniorgerman. I looked at the YouTube video & it's for Spanish speakers running Windows 10.
Is there any information about installing jasminetool-linux in Debian you could share?
Many thanks, JGB

You can backup with Titanium your mobile version and restore it (app + data ) in your tablet.
I did that and it works perfectly.

Can I put comments on an update.zip file?

I want to create an update.zip file for a certain purpose and since it's quite a big thing, it'd be nice if I could comment on each step so that I don't get lost. Is it possible to add comments to an update.zip?
Yes it is.
Add such a line for every comment to your updater-script:
ui_print("Hello World!");
Regards
Mmm, I meant comments as text that I want to appear in the script, but I don't want to be ran or displayed.
For example:
Code:
ui_print("Hello World!");
[B]# this command shows the words "Hello World!" in the screen[/B]

Mass Storage Mode on Huawei P9 Lite ?

Hello, i just bought a P9 Lite and i was wondering if it is possible to access mass storage USB mode instead of MTP and how. I couldn't find anything on the internet about this subject, so if anyone could help me it would be great. Thank you! Offtopic: Where can i find something like a list of all the nice features of the phone?(like double tapping on volume down button for camera and so on)
Sorry for my English. When your phone is connected,do it down with your finger for the notification screen see, you can choose files or photos.

Thank you! What is your opinion should i root my p9 lite? Would it affect stability? I rooted a lot of devices but i didn't use them daily and they were also pretty unstable before root.

If you want your warranty NO , if not then its good with this phone because i unlocked the double tap to wake (actually it needs triple tap to work) installed xposed (that make same stability issues) and enabled callrecord, i have my titanium backups, with usb mass st i have better speeds when i transfer files (music, movies).... from the other hand , some users say that they root there phones and can't enable some of them (D2W, callrec, xposed)

[GUIDE] Enable call recording on MHA-L29 (need root)

Hi everyone
I'm not responsible for any damage to your phone if you followed this guide, it's on your responsible.
this guide is to enable call recording on non-chinees version for Mate 9 MHA-L29
first you need to be rooted I used this toutrial to root with SuperSU
thanks to @eddmecha and @ante0
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/guide-how-to-root-mate-9-decrypt-data-t3569986
Download this file and put on your phone and extract it
https://mega.nz/#!OkgTTYKI!4AVXfEvkj7lp-KkQAVY9Je79E0h_fb9Py1t4c8BlsAo
first take a copy from HwCallRecorder folder and paste it to following directions
(if you didn't find any below directions make them)
/data/dataapp
/system/app
/hw_init/cust/hw/**Your region code**/app/
For me it's like this
/hw_init/cust/hw/meafnaf/app/
then go to /system/build.prop and add these lines to the end of the file
ro.config.hw_voicerecord=true
ro.config.callrecord.enabled=1
then go to this folder cust-hw-region-xml and copy all files to this direction
/cust/hw/**your region**/xml
then go to this folder hw_oem-xml and copy all files to this direction
/hw_oem/xml
apply merge replace if it asks
then make a reboot
now test it if it work (maybe it will give you an error, if so make a reset from settings and DO NOT check Erase internal storage)
I will upload a video as a prove it's working

Did you get this working on a p9 plus? If so, please can you make a video of what you did because I'm struggling to interpret the instructions. Also, where do you find your region code?
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

This seems to be default for C432B190. It shows Record when making a call. Recording ends up in Recorder app.

MHA-AL00 has Call Recording out-of-box.
How to make this run automatically? I remember in b190 it has this function but now I come to b198 and there is no call recorder in my phone setting anymore.
