now that the S10 / 10+ doesnt include any kind of Notification LED, i hope some Dev can create an App, where (in case of notfications) 1 or 2 Pixel around the Front Cam are lighten up.

From what I've seen, not yet but it is in the works.

That's what I was thinking but edge lighting only comes on when phone is laying on its face

Hmm. Well maybe that's not the case. I don't have my S10+ yet!!! But I have S8+ and I just got a text and Edge light DID come on.

It doesn't stay on however so you can have a peak on the phone from distance and know you have new notifications.
Only thing that works for me so far is double taping the aod

To address "from what I've seen", I have Verizon and I don't have any update as of this morning.
To address if the update is in the works, take a look at the article I posted a few replies before you quoted myself, plus many more, directly on Samsung's forums with an employee stating there will be an update in the future...
I am also in that forum man and the person who informed about the update is not a Samsung employee. He's just like us. So, that does not create a new hope.

What's the software number
Theres an Edge lighting app. I haven't messed it with yet but upon doing I will note what it does and share here.

The edge lighting around the front camera circles it in the oval shape during facial recognition and that's the only time I've seen it on so far.

I printed my Email Receipt to PDF and uploaded that. It is the only one I have so I hope there are no issues.

You won't receive your netflix code until they verify your purchase, which they stated will take 4-6 weeks.
I also just used my order confirmation email from T-Mobile. It has all the info they asked for on it.
I took a pic of my receipt print out from T-Mobile, it shows I paid in full, it better be OK! Haha
Hmmm, I bought my phone from t-mobile and am getting an error that the carrier tied to the phone is not eligible.
EDIT: It was a B and not an 8 in the MAC address.

Yes you are correct, it is right in the Terms and Conditions.

No feature added , just feels little smoother. Had issue with two beeps of locking sound, now haven't seen that. Battery looks slightly improved but wait can't judge it on 3 hrs of usages , after 2-3 cycles it may be clear. Lastly the updated android security patch of April . Will revert back if anything weird happens but nothing till now everything good.

Interface is same as it was on previous version no changes in that. No G5 implementation yet. Android version is the same.

Imported from Thailand, buying in India was too main stream . I also got H810 single sim variant. Update may be on the way, hope so.
Updated now to V20E. Let's see what will be the performance after weeks of usage.

A bit off topic: Since u have imported ur device, will you still get LG India warranty. Asking this because the so called "bootloop" issue is spreading like forest fire amongst the G4 users.
As for V20e update part I will be informing as soon as the update arrives for my H818N. :laugh:

Bootloop is seen for older handset, my older one is H810 and got my H818 is a week old. The batch after Jan 2016 has got newer version of motherboard so no at risk I think so and no warranty for imported handsets.

Have yet to see Indians complain about it. 30K G4's imported into the country, where are they ?
When i went through a russian thread and used google translate i counted about 25. Out of how many. thousands ?
The bulk of people complaining are single sim. And the poll thread showed they were concentrated around the early builds.
As for V20e update part I will be informing as soon as the update arrives for my H818N. :laugh:

its a phased roll out. You dont roll out an update everywhere at the same time. Roll it out in one country, then wait & watch. Ok ? move to the next country and so on.

S6 users were crying they did not get MM until march.
The G4 got MM in Dec.
Difference is the S6 got 6.0.1, we're still on 6.0
It takes work. Be patient.

The open question is the security updates. How long will LG keep those up.

Don't show night shots! Between that and the shipping and communications fiasco, Andy Rubin is already in hiding.
I've never had a phone that was good at taking night shots. I'm coming from the LG G6 and the night shots suck just as much as any other phone. Don't see what the big deal is.
Quick question. Can you check the display settings and see if there is a blue light filter? Or night light whichever they call it? Thanks!

If you would look at the features within Android you'd know it would have that feature... Or you could google it.

Just an FYI, it appears there is no blue light filter on this phone. Someone who has the phone looked for it in the settings and it’s not there

Got mine today. All I can say is WOW!
As a die hard Nexus fan for years, Pixel didn't cut it for me. Essential feels like Nexus is back. Amazing phone.
Yeah, I am really enjoying this phone...the only things I wish it had were the fingerprint gestures and the night mode. Those are the only things I miss from my Pixel XL. Anyone know if the apk's for those are floating around? Would be nice to install like the Google HDR camera app which seemed to improve the camera a bit.
You can search Google for the camera app. It's also floating around the apps section under the essential phone forum

Has anyone here received the new Edge Screen update for our phones? This new update lets us change the edge light color and pattern that most of us have been waiting for. I saw an article over at Phonearena that said you can just go into the Galaxy Apps store and update the app there. I have checked my own personal phone as well as 4 others and none seem to have this update.
Anyone here know what the deal is?

My phone got this update few days ago. It has a setting to choose basic color or make it a color of the app.

Well, as that conversation is private and dont have any official status, you cant say anything properly, yet they werent even answering in the past when we were asking if they will get pie or not. But as far as the expert says we will get a notification it can be true
I wonder how we will get a notification, maybe from members app? Also i want to remind you that he didnt say they will be in beta along 9 series its still unclear but as he says they will its the thing to lookout for

Wouldnt think so, as oreo and pie is very diffrent and it would be easier to wait for it. Even if there was a leak to use it, maybe we could who knows
