I'm buying a Android head unit for my BMW E46 and I've heard good things about Xtrons units(I'm from EU). Xtrons sells two head units under same product code: PA7846BIP. One has Android 8.0 with 4GB RAM 32GB ROM and the other one has Android 8.1 with 2GB RAM 16GB ROM. If they both ran same OS I would buy the one with most RAM. Is there any reason to get the one with Android 8.1?

it takes 2 weeks to ship from china i didn't want to wait and any performance gains will seem pretty minimal once the quad-core SOCs (A31 & RK3188) hit in force.
According to an inquiry made by a member of ahappydeal.com the stick has 1gb ram whereas the specs mention it has 2 gb ram. Anyway since i' ve ordered it in the 11th of December and hasn' t arrived yet i' ll request a refund from paypal. Avoid ahappydeal.com at all cost because they suck.

I have. And it does have 2 GB of RAM.
I purchased it from aliexpress
Works flawlessly. However the mac adress on the wireless interface changes at each boot.
Would anyone suggest if it's better to buy this than the iMito MX2?
I have imito mx2 but s21h hasn' t arrived yet. .. so I can' t say for sure because I can' t. compare them.

appeared to be :

I have been waiting for the 8" version to come out with LTE.
Having said that, as long as the Venue Pro has the appropriate slot and antenna hookups built into it, it should be possible.
I found the following video on Dell's website:

It shows the system board. The system board has 3 mini-PCIe slots. I am guessing one is for the mSATA SSD, one is for the Wireless LAN, and one may be available for expansion.

Hi guys. It looks like there's only Ownice selling units with 2gb ram. All the rest have 1gb. Other specs near identical (quad core, 16gb flash).
Should I pay the $100 extra for 2gb ram do you think? it's a lot of money for a small (but maybe worthwhile) upgrade.

What do you wan't on it. It is the question. I have the 1gb ram type and its enough for me. If you don't run a lots of app on it, its fully enough.
Just google maps or whatever navigation, and music. Just don't want it to be slow swapping/paging when switching from maps back to home screen, music player, etc.
The 1gb is enough for this

I have a C200 and i'm very satisfied, there were problems with reboots and data loss but with the last update from december, it didn't occur again, sure there are some minor things but nothing to bad, it boots fast, gps works good, the phone calls are crisp and clear on both sides (it has bluetooth 3) and Ownice will roll out android Lollipop 5.1 the end of this month or in march.

Ownice delayed the Lollipop update, it should be this year, but when i don't know.
For the moment i am satisfied about the unit, no reboots or data loss and stable.
ownice also released the C300, so makes me think they will slow on the updates for the C200

I just got a new Nexus 7 (2012) tablet. I was looking at doing some hardware upgrades. Has anyone upgraded the RAM on one of these before? Based on bit[dot]do/ef9uM it contains “1 GB of Hynix H5TC2G83CFR DDR3 RAM” (bit[dot]do/ef9uD). Could this be swapped with the 4 “Elpida J4216EFBG 512 MB DDR3L SDRAM” from the second gen Nexus 7, or 2GB RAM from somewhere else?
From what I’ve read it sounds more like a dream then a possibility
