Bricked OnePlus 6T, messed up big time! Possible long thread ahead. - OnePlus 6T Questions & Answers

Hello everyone, I have bricked my OnePlus 6T...well, actually it wasn't me who is the reason this happened. :/ Open Beta 3 user.
On Thursday, I was using my phone like I normally would, I was sending a screenshot to a friend which I cut down, and after I cut the picture down, I was writing a text to support the picture, now here is what the big issue comes in. The phone was freezing - I was like, ''alright I am on a beta afterall'', and this wasn't the first time this freezing happened. Suddenly, the phone just shut itself down and went black. After a few seconds, it boot up, but while doing so, it went into Qualcomm Crash Dump Mode, which I knew I've seen before, but not on my ''old'' 5T, which had - and still has the Open beta installed on it, for well over a year now.
This was a first time thing, I have never seen this mode on my phone before and i was panicking a bit and immediately went up to my laptop. I googled a bit, and I saw that this issue isn't a first time issue, it happened before on the OnePlus 6's Open beta firmware. And I was somewhat relieved, since I thought I may be able to fix this easily without loosing any data. Wrong thought.
After this, I tried reflashing the OS in fastboot, i downloaded fastboot ROM's and tried flashing them - one after another, none of them worked.
Then I tried to ask some friends at the OnePlus forum, since some of them have more knowledge than me, a lot more actually. They tried giving me solutions without losing any data, no luck. Then I was like ''alright, I'm f**ked, I need to give up on my data''. And since all of this happened suddenly without me having a chance to predict, I had no chance to backup any important data. Then I tried the msmdownloadtool, which firstly was a mistake, as I (as stupid as I am) used the OnePlus 6 msmdownloadtool, then i realized that I was using the wrong tool, and I downloaded the OP6T msmdownloadtool, too. After the download finished, I ran the tool with my 6T plugged in, it went through in about 300 seconds and my 6T was not booting up. Sometimes, it came to the boot animation and just crashed while booting.
Friday came and I tried the same thing over and over, no luck. I was busy doing other things, so I had not much time doing this all day.
Saturday was in and I tried the same stuff, but this time, I downloaded the msmdownloadtool with OOS 9.0.5 instead of 9.0.11, which made a very good first impression, the phone was booting up! But - I couldn't do anything and it froze on me and crashed. It was booting up, but...the system was unusable, I could drag the statusbar down and tap onto the navbar, but thats all I could do before it froze.
After this, the phone rebooted and went into Qualcomm Crashdump Mode, again! But this time, there was the usual text you get while the phone is in this mode, which was NOT there before. ''Normally'', the phone went into that mode with only the Qualcomm Crash Dump Mode showing up.
I tried everything i could, but no luck. The bootloader is locked again, so I can't flash anything over fastboot, recovery has been changed with the 6/6T anyway, so no OS flashing possible with that either, I am clueless right now and i would like you guys to help me out before having to send the phone back.
And as I could no see a thread regarding this particular issue, I was sure I could open up a new one.
If there are any language mistakes or whatever, bear with me, English is not my primary language.
Oh, now I kind of forgot to edit this - My phone is back working again after RMA.

no no,it's cool,it's readable, English is fine.Msm tool should fix it..good thing is that its not hardbricked,it's still alive and sometimes booting.thats a good sign.in my opinion some partition is cousing problems and is probably corrupt.Try flashing latest MSM for 6T few times in a row,let it overwrigh, and while I bootloader try to unlock bootloader ,and then before you let phone boot,in bootloader fastboot boot TWRP img.if TWRP works, you can try flash something ,maybe OOS again and TWRP zip and try it boot.

Hi! Thank you for your answer, but everything you mentioned, i have tried it already, every time I try to do a fastboot command, it'll not work, as Oem unlocking is disabled in the OS, and I'm not able to enable it, as mentioned, I'm not able to enter the OS.

Even I have the same problem while sideloading zips.
I thought it was just my PC. And I never found any working solution for it.
Have you tried the HydrogenOS msmdownloadtool?
This is the chinese Version of OxygenOS (the system is in english I think)

Yes, I have tried it as well, I was hoping it'd do anything, but it didn't. The phone gets to the boot screen sometimes, but mostly it'll go to the Qualcomm Crashdump Mode again

I am sorry but I am out of ideas.
Maybe other people have other ideas.
But you can request a repair and ask if they can repair it and if it is free.

No problem, thanks for your support.
That was my last option, if nothing helped.
Also, I just saw your edit, there is no option like this, there are ''wipe data and cache'', '' Advanced'' ''Exit''

You said MSM tool 9.0.11 doesn't recognize your device.. did you try to press start on the tool anyway with your device plugged in via USB?
Most times it doesn't seem to recognise my phone either but then I press start and it takes some time before it start doing is thing..

Hey m8 use MSM tool took about 10 attempts plus for the files to start downloading not sure why? But that is your answer just stick with it

Try fastboot boot twrp but when in fastboot go to reboot bootloader screen and push power button rite before u hit enter on the keyboard so when u push enter it says waiting for device. Then when it connects it should boot to twrp.

Sorry about your luck. The only thing I can recommend is trying the patched msmtool that is for converting from T-Mobile to global.
I had problems getting it to connect but what I did was power off device and held volume up and volume down even after plugging it in and pushing start.
Then when I got the error it didn't connect I unplugged it and plugged it back in all while still holding volume up and volume down. It took a few tries but it will connect.

The problem is not that the phone doesn't connect, it connects right away without any issues with the volume buttons clicked together, the msmtool runs through too! But the phone does NOT boot up after all of this is finished. It goes straight to Qualcomm crashdump mode.

[Q] Boots Into "No Command" Screen

Tried my best to search the forums for anyone else having this issue, couldn't find much.
My N7 isn't rooted at all. It worked fine until last night, the screen wouldn't turn on so I held the power button down to turn it off, booted it back up and it goes into a screen with a red triangle and says "No Command". It sits on this screen for a while and then reboots, and does the same over and over. I can get into fastboot (it also throws the "No Command" when trying to get into recovery), but I'm not sure what my options are. I'm hoping I don't have to resort to wiping the device, so any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!
AW: [Q] Boots Into "No Command" Screen
When you boot in recovery and the red triangle appears, have you tried to press volume down and power again? It should boot in recovery
Sent from my SK17i running Android 4.1.2
Use fastboot to flash a custom recovery, and then do a nandroid backup. From there, you can mess around without fear of losing your data. Perhaps you will need to re-flash the boot or system image, but I can't imagine what could have happened to it in the first place.

I contacted support and they pretty much immediately started to process an RMA. She said someone had called in earlier today with the same problem and they couldn't figure anything out. I have a feeling they don't send new ones for these types of things, so I'm still going to try to fix mine. Thanks for the suggestions.
Here's a pic, I'm still confused on how little I've found about this "No Command" screen:

Woah, did you mean power and volume UP? Because that works... it brings up the recovery menu.....
Am I missing something? Is it normal to have to press power + volume up to see the recovery menu?
Okay, so I guess the real problem is that I'm stuck booting into recovery. Was there an OTA update?
I ended up fixing this. Once I realized what I was seeing was recovery mode, I tried clearing data + cache, but that didn't work. Still booted into recovery mode every time. I went through the mess of installing the right drivers (no idea if it's just me but I always have issues with my computer recognizing my devices), and I used the android SDK to unlock the bootloader and then flashed the factory image. Lost all my data but oh well, better than going through the RMA process.
Thanks again for the help. I seriously would have never realized that silly screen was recovery. Why can't it just show the menu by default...
edit: one other thing, the biggest hurdle I ran into was that I didn't have the drivers installed at all. but since I couldn't boot up I couldn't install the adb driver. I was able to install the fastboot one just fine, but the fastboot commands didn't work until I installed the adb driver. only way I was able to install the adb driver was to go into the 'sideload using adb' option in recovery, at that point windows prompted for the drivers. not sure if there's a manual way of installing the driver but yeah. hopefully that made some sense.

From efrants android 101 sticky:*I just flashed CWM, but every time I try to boot into CWM, I keep seeing the stock recovery. Why?If you updated your Android build using an OTA update file (either manually or over-the-air), the update placed two files on your device that re-flash the stock recovery every time you reboot your device. These two files are:/system/etc/install-recovery.sh <== this is the script that installs the patch file/system/recovery-from-boot.p <== this is the patchYou have to rename (or delete) one or both of them, then re-flash your custom recovery. Now it will stick.

I have spice dream uno 498 6.0.1 my phone showing no command Pls tell me steps of using adb +command to give via pc

Possibly bricked device, need D80020y image? (URGENT)

Hi, I was trying to update my LG G2 D800 to Lollipop using this guide:
http://webtrickz.com/how-to-update-lg-g2-to-official-lollipop-os/
However, after the device rebooted, it went to the LG logo screen, displayed this message in the top left corner, and went to an indefinite black screen.
boot certification error
secure booting error
cause: boot certification verify
Holding down the power button for about 15 seconds turns the device off, but sometimes it turns itself back on and does it again. Turning it off, then quickly holding volume down and power button, releasing on logo, then holding again brings it to a "Factory Data Reset" screen, however, doing a reset does nothing and puts me immediately back to the same problem.
Holding volume up and plugging it into my PC does the same thing, and when plugged in, windows recognizes about 20 "unformatted drives", and shows it as QHSUB_BULK in device manager, under other devices.
Before this, I was running stock 4.4.2, D80020y, rooted with towelroot. I had attempted to create a TWRP recovery, and it said it succeeded, however it was unable to boot to recovery.
I was going to try to fix it using this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
However, I am unable to find an img for D80020y.
I have access to a Win 8..1 desktop, and I can run whatever OS necessary in a VM.
Does anyone know where to find one? Or, can anyone provide me with one? Or, is there another way to fix this?
I'm just worried that my device is totally gone at this point, and considering I bought it used, I have no warranty, nor a phone to replace it, currently.
Thanks so much to anyone who can help me!
First off, why didn't you just do an OTA update to Lollipop (via settings/about phone) instead of trying to manually do it? It's a lot easier and you could of avoided all of this...
Anyways, I am not sure what exactly happened (maybe it was a bad flash or maybe you screwed up somewhere), but it looks like you've gotten yourself in a real mess.
Did you triple check that you followed the article step by step? Did other people state in the comments about any problems they faced when using the method?
I have tried that method you linked before, and I used Ubuntu, which is best for that method. However, it did not work for me. I remember going on and on with that and ultimately just flat out replaced my logic board when I had a bricked G2.
And I can totally relate to to the twenty unformatted drives, I have been in same exact situation with the endless windows popups when I plug in my phone, but I never really figured out the issue. I remember before I was stuck in fast boot mode, and after awhile I couldn't even get to fast boot.
Can you get into recovery? Is the phone still alive? If so, you can use this to get back to stock http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
Hope this helps a bit, I have never been in your situation but if you want a real, simple solution to this: I would purchase and replace your logic board (phone's motherboard). It is a definite fix. If you are not comfortable with that, then I would advise to go ahead and do some research about this. Unfortunately, I have no idea where you can get that img (I do not have a D800, but rather a VS980), but I am sure with some Google searches you can find it.
I have bricked a couple phones in the past, and we all learn from our mistakes!
Best of luck!

I couldn't do an OTA update, as it's an AT&T phone, unlocked, and was running on TMobile. (Sorry, could've sword I specified that)
I was very careful that I followed all the steps of that article, to the period, but, again, Murphy's Law. I'm not sure what could have gone wrong.
And currently, I've tried every button combination I know and every one I could find from searching, and the only thing I can get into is the hard reset mode, but I cannot actually do a hard reset (just reboots with the same issue).
I've been unable to find specific d80020y img files after quite a bit of searching, but I will continue, and I've also contacted LG support in the event that by some act of god they can provide me with the files or another fix.

Gotcha. I haven't ran into the issue you have been describing at all before, but I just wanted to try to understand this situation a little better, I wish I could tell you what exactly happened.
As far as your problem, here's what I would do. The phone is still alive correct? Contact LG and send that bad boy in. Tell them you used it for a couple of months and all of a sudden it does not work anymore. I think that would be your best bet. However, do not tell them you modified it or whatever you tried to do with it.
Be aware if you do send it in to LG, make sure you have not tried to open up the phone and screw around with it internally. They will not fix it if that is the case. Also, it can be quite pricey depending on your current condition.
Oh, and LG will not provide you with those files, they are there to help you with any kind of phone issue, but not these kinds of issues.
This my friend is the best advice I can give you! Again, another option would be replacing the logic board, but that is ONLY a last resort.
BTW, you didn't hard brick it so that's a plus
I've not got a warranty, nor do I have the funds currently to have it repaired. That would be my last option.
Also, I'm not sure if this is helpful or relevant, but when I plugged it in to my PC just now, and it "recognized" the whole bunch of drives, I clicked through each one to see if it actually accessed anything. The "drive" it labeled "G:" had a single "image" folder in it, containing a bunch of .b00, .b01, .b02, etc files, and some .mdt files. (See picture)
Is this relevant at all? Could this help me?

Yes, I am sure. I just tried it again, though, to confirm. Held volume up, plugged in USB, and it went to the LG logo screen, showed the same error text in the top left, and went to a black screen.
I am downloading the SRKtool right now, and will try as soon as i have it.
Alrighty, so, progress (?).
I did the procedure with SRKtool, and at the end it told me to unplug it from USB and restart it, So i did that, and it went to the download mode screen, then it gave an error (Regrettably, it went too quick for me to read it), and now it's on the LG logo and has been for maybe 5 minutes, and the notification light is flashing multicolor.
EDIT: YES! I turned it off, since it wasn't doing anything, and i am able to get into download mode! Miracle!
So, is there anything else i need to to, or can i just flash Lollipop to it now, with download mode?

no problem just hit thanks it i helped, once you in KK ill tell you how to go from there.
Wow, it flashed and everything without a hitch. I'm in KK now, and everything seems all good. So how would I go about upgrading to lollipop?
Thought I'd post back to share the conclusion.
Everything's working perfectly now, I flashed Lollipop through the flash tool, worked perfectly, and now I'm rooted, got a proper TWRP recovery set up, Xposed installed, and everything is good. Seems to run smoother on Lollipop too, and I was skeptical about the battery life, but it seems great

[GUIDE] Repair your Idol 3

Hi Everyone
This is Guide how to repair your phone who was dead
My phone doesn't worked for 3 days so i get small trick and successfully repaired from dead
My phone was 5 times not worked like dead,Screen not Works ...only LED works, when i connect to pc usb device not recognized and nothing....
Explanation about my Problem:
IN MY CASE!
and the worst In my case Power button and Volume Buttons doesn't working so i open the BACK COVER eject the cable from volume button and insert small cable in slots to cover the pins like pressing volume up and down and finally connected to pc with usb
So we are starting the GUIDE:
1.First you need the drivers so you can get from this https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B1T7tp6tJ_3kX3p6SUxWb2NfWTQ&usp=sharing
2.After you installed the Drivers go to. Download mode if not goes try this... Press Volume UP and Volume DOWN and connect to usb to your pc
3.Go to device Manager to view the Port ,so the port can be "Android HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM3)"
4.Download the Panasonic Firmware Eluga and Extract (don't worry this is the same like idol 3 only name changed)https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B01OmzpKE6vAVDhaSFN2aVFzaVU
5. After Extract you wil find EB-90S55EWLv1009.exe so run as administrator wait to load data
6.select 6045 and in the list down you can find your phone
7.and press the button "download"
8.So process starting ..indetifying your device you will get informations about imei..rooted or no .....
9.so automatically started to flashing the firmware (my it's go to 45 % and then i get error)
10.Don't worry press the button Reboot Device
11.and your device will reboot and you will view 'the screen powered by android and then panasonic so i get message Encrypted device just click the button "reset" and automatically device will be reseted and when wil finish with reset automatically reboots and wait to first boot you will get welcome screen set up and finished.....
12.So device successfully repaired from dead
If you want to go to CM or Stock for Idol 3
-i will write guide to unlock bootloader and flash TWRP recovery
-You must have Minimal Adb and Fastboot
-type "adb reboot-bootloader" to reboot into bootloader. The device should reboot to the screen showing " .powered by android". This is bootloader mode.
-Then type "fastboot -i 0x1bbb devices" should show some numbers and "fastboot" after the numbers
-Type "fastboot -i 0x1bbb oem device-info" shows device info including bootloader status (e.g. locked).
-Type "fastboot -i 0x1bbb oem unlock" to unlock the bootloader; after this you should get, for device info,
-Type "fastboot -i 0x1bbb oem device-info" and you should see "Device unlocked: true"
-You successfully unlocked the bootloader one step more to flash the recovery
-Download the TWRP RECOVERY FROM THIS LINK:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24421527759881858
-Then copy from when you downlaod and paste the recovery in C:\Program Files\Minimal ADB and Fastboot
-Press Shift in the directory and click Right on mouse and open command promt here
-Type fastboot -i 0x1bbb flash recovery twrp-3.0.0-1.img or fastboot -i 0x1bbb boot twrp-3.0.0-1.img (if you want to test before installation)
-so successfully installed recovery and flash CM Or whatever you want

problem with idol 3 4.7 6039K
Hi there,
I don't know if this is the correct section, I hope so, otherwise I really appreciate you can drive me to the appropriate one, it's new for me this forum!
I have an idol 3 4.7, where I have installed kingroot and after I took out (I didn´t reset the phone, Just unistall the app),
yesterday i received the update system message, I imagine for the marshmallow update, so I say Yes, install it.
But the phone entered in bootloop. I only have the initial screen with the options as Reboot system, adb and so on.
I tried to wipe but nothing. So now my phone stucked. I tried with an assistance center in Quito but they could't
My questions are:
may I use this system for 6039K?
Or does anybody hear about a solution in this case?
Should I open and take out the battery?
Please, any suggestion will be really welcome in order to make the phone work again.

Tell me info About your phone? Model,Country,ROM...../?
All is standard, no root, no twrp and the latest software from alcatel, the model is 6045Y. But all of a sudden my phone decided to random reboot and it didn't stop
So i looked to unbrick it and came with a couple of options, first i tried to sideload software but that didn't work, than i tried it with Mobile upgrade from alcatel and that didn't work.
Than i saw this thread and tried it twice but after Panasonic and the sound it starts to reboot again. Now i'm trying again with Mobile upgrade.
All that is changed is the recovery interface it looks now like it is from MM.

More Looks like Hardware Problem Try again with Mobile q if not works...Send to warranty repair.....
Alek, thank you for this great guide. It saved my 6045k model.
I was messing around with AlekOS 3.0, had issues with lock screen and experimented with modems. I managed to permanently disable secondary sim slot (was using famewolf's modem backups). I forgot to copy modem.img backup to my PC! Also tried bunch of TWRP backups with no luck. My last hope was Mobile Upgrade Q and reverting back tu 5.0.2. Unfortunately with no success (only one sim slot is recognized again).
Finally I found this thread, followed the guide and I can confirm that it did solve sim issue. The setup finished with no errors that you mentioned. It got stuck at 45%, but after a while (10min) it completed successfully.
Cheers!
I'm in the same situation as you,but my problem is that Panasonic Eluga doesn't recognice my devide, drivers are correctly installed,I checked everything but nothing:

Help with invalid IMEI fater rebooting phone?

Hey guys, I'm trying to fix an lg spirit (h440n)
The phone ran out of battery, and later when I charged it and rebooted, I couldn't get any service, and later realized that the IMEI is now invalid and is listen as "unknown" (as well as a couple of other things). Also, for whatever reason the phone takes a much longer time to boot up.
I'd really appreciate if anyone could assist me with restoring the IMEI.
So far I tried doing a factory reset, which didn't help at all (and now for whatever reason the youtube app appears as a generic android icon with the name com.google.android.youtube...etc.)
I do still have the original IMEI cause i saved the box from the phone.
By the way, I'm on android 6.0

Hi,
so I tried doing that, but I keep running into several errors:
1) If I try doing a normal flash using a stock v20b ROM (android 6.0), the flashing software gives me an error saying "Problem with communication between cell phone and PC". It has some instructions on what to do to restart the flashing process, but it still doesn't work for me even if I do them
2) Flashing the v20b ROM with with the CSE flash method, I get an error on the program saying "Required info cannot be found. Contact the system administrator.."
3) Flashing a 10i ROM (android 5) with the CSE method, the flashing process goes to about 9% on the PC, then my phone reboots and for a split second displays an error with all red letters saying "Boot verification Fail!! cause : DIFFERENT_HASH", and after that the phone reboots as normal and the flashing process is once again failed.
I honestly don't understand where the problem is... I hope it's still possible to solve

If the above method doesn't work then try to flash lollipop rom with LG UP software as it is possible that the lg support tool could be having trouble flashing the rom.
Also please post a screenshot of the issue.

Seems like the method you sent me in the link requires for my LG to be rooted, which I don't think I'll be able to do - none of the one click root methods worked cause android 6.0 seems to have fixed the exploit those programs use, and doing it manually might also be troublesome cause I can't get the download mode to work with the phone.(Like I mentioned, the error "Boot verification Fail!! cause : DIFFERENT_HASH"). Sorry, I'm not able to post an image of the error cause I'm still a new user on the forums...
So I think LGUP might be my only hope at this point, but I can't get it to recognize my phone. It just shows up as an unknown device and I can't proceed with the flashing process

Go to this link:
https://lg-kdz-firmware.com/check-your-firmware.html
Open your phone from the back and remove the battery, then you will find the IMEI, write it on that site that i put a link to and you can find the right firmware for your phone, download it, download lg drivers (search on google for them) and install them, then try flashing with LG Flash Tool 2014, and make settings to be like this:
Select Type: CDMA,
PhoneMode: CS_EMERGENCY
and flash with CSE Flash.
To go in download mode turn off your phone and hold the volume down button while holding enter the usb cable in to the phone but it should previously be connected to the pc, hold volume down button until you sea a screen that shows you that you are in download mode than start the tool from your pc and flash the firmware.
Hope this helps.

To enter download mode phone must be turned off then press and hold vol. Up button then plug in the usb cable. It is not the volume down button.
If Lg Up recognizes your phone as unknown device that's normal as it has happened to me as well. See if you can enter in download mode with keys, if you can't, just keep your phone booted into rom then start flashing lollipop kdz and your phone should automatically boot into download mode.
On my LG Spirit 4G LTE h440n is the volume down button. The volume up is to go into the bootloader.

If Lg Up recognizes your phone as unknown device that's normal as it has happened to me as well. See if you can enter in download mode with keys, if you can't, just keep your phone booted into rom then start flashing lollipop kdz and your phone should automatically boot into download mode.

In LGUP when my phone shows up as "unknown", I can't do the flashing process cause the program just says "You have to select a known model, please."

And about download mode, I know how to get into it, and it is indeed volume up+usb, but like I said, when I enter download mode it just displays that error message about boot verification failed, and the phone just reboots as normal. I thought maybe I'm not explaining it well enough so instead I filmed a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APlsn5gVvzw&feature=youtu.be

Tried everything in that thread, but sadly the result is still the same. I also followed a tutorial in this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-spirit/how-to/how-to-install-marshmallow-lg-spirit-t3490045 but my phone is still not recognized by LGUP. I'm certain I followed the instructions correctly

Sorry then as i can't think of anything else. If your phone is still under warranty period you can always send it to service center.

Ahh that's too bad. Well, thank you for your help either way! Sadly, the phone isn't covered by warranty anymore..
I think my best bet is to make the download mode work correctly. I guess I will have to keep searching
I have an LG Spirit 4G (H440n) that lost its IMEI a month ago after shutting down because of a drained battery. After turning it on, the SIM card never got read and the IMEI was unknown. Following a lot of hurdles to reflash a .kdz from download mode I managed to flash a MM firmware and the phone rebooted with its IMEI intact. Then, after a while the phone shut down with a drained battery and the same thing happened. I reflashed and fixed it.
After that... Yeah, the phone shut down after a battery drain and now it doesn't have its IMEI again. Is there any way to restore it and keep there for good without reflashing the whole device from download mode? What could be causing? Should I watch out for the battery forever now?

Wow this really is strange. Just to be clear, this phone I was trying to fix was being used by my dad, not me, and he also said the problems started happening after his battery got drained. Unlike you, however, I never managed to even flash a stock ROM to the phone, cause for me the download mode still doesn't work.
Any LG gurus out there know what's going on with these phones?
I can't post links on threads but i found a video, not sure if it helps or if it works but you got nothing to lose, PM me and i'll send you the link.

[SOLVED] Bricked after an UPDATE or HARD RESET (can not get into recovery mode)

UPDATE: The issue was resolved and here is the [SOLUTION]first of all lets start with the problem, it doesn't matter if it's just hard reset loop or update loop problem, I actually did both, here's a thing this main issue comes with updates but somehow this time recovery mode was completely destroyed, so there is no escape you can only access fastboot which is a good thing in a way, follow the steps to unbrick your phone.
-if you can access recovery mode just download modified miflashpro and flash downloaded rom using it.
REQUIRMENTS: PC,USB CABLE,INTERNET CONNECTION.
SOLUTION:1. Install ADB on your PC with all the necessary drivers for your phone
2. Turn off your phone completely, press and hold volume down and power button together to go into fastboot mode
3. once you are in fastboot mode connect usb to phone and open cmd from adb directory and type in: fastboot devices (if device serial number is shown in fastboot mode everything is good so far... if not go to DEVICE MANAGER in your pc and check if driver is installed properly if anything ADB drivers and ANDROID USB drivers will come handy to install them manually)
4. now type in: fastboot continue

}
5. your device will boot into system if it fails try going into fastboot mode and going with fastboot continue command again try until it boot ups into safe mode
6. eventually it will boot into safe mode system without your files being touched because nor update nor hard reset was completed fully, phone will be in airplane mode.
7. DO NOT TURN ON WIFI OR MOBILE DATA it will crash your phone, if your phone storage is full remove some stuff plus the apps.
8. Turn on USB DEBUGGING,OEM UNLOCK MODE. open file transfers and download apk of MIUI updater from pc to your phone ( LATEST VERSION ) and install it.
9. now DEACTIVATE AIRPLANE MODE and turn on WIFI FROM SETTINGS
10. once you got internet connection wait a little bit for all of the notifications and stuff to pop up be careful, once it's all good go to settings about phone and system update and CHECK FOR UPDATES
11. let your phone download the update it should be around 1.7GB depends honestly let it decrypt and once you are ready click on INSTALL NOW.
12. it will take time to install and reboot will happen many time you might think that it gets stuck at 90.49% but let it finish be patient it happens it just needs time, once everything is done you are good to go
WELCOME TO MIUI 12
SIDE NOTE:
I - MAKE SURE YOUR PHONE IS CHARGED
II - I DID TRY EDL TEST POINTS BUT YOU DO NOT NEED TO OPEN UP YOUR PHONE NOR TO DO IT.
III - BE PATIENT
F
Unless you're willing to do a test point boot, take it to a Xiaomi service center, take a receipt with you or some proof of purchase.
You can try buying an EDL cable and testing your luck, I highly doubt tho since Xiaomi locks it's EDL mode.
got good news I managed to actually get in the system
using fastboot continue command it lags as hell but usb debugging is on
so from the looks of it recovery is gone
I am in phone adb devices are visible
anything that you might suggest ?
it took me three times to do this but it finally managed to do something
I think it's safe mode and this is why it's not crashing yet

anyways phone is on and going well charging but is in airplane mode trying to flash rom using miflash but not working... recovery is most likely gone... any ideas guys what to do?
Update:turning wifi makes it crash
UPDATE II: WHATEVER HAPPENS DO NOT TURN ON WIFI IT WILL CRASH AND KEEP ON CRASHING UNTIL YOU GET LUCKY AND TURN IT OFF YOURSELF
UPDATE THREE: I NEED A WAY TO FLASH RECOVERY WITHOUT FASTBOOT AND BOOTLOADER IS LOCKED
You said your device is locked? If it's unlocked try flashing TWRP, and flashing a different ROM so this doesn't happen again.
Careful of rollback index when trying to flash a MIUI ROM so it doesn't cause a hardbrick.

If i somehow manage to get into recovery even if I will be able to install it I will flash rom and it's over
You can't force flash TWRP. You'll have to wait those days with MI Unlock, that's the only way.
There is this thread about an unofficial method of unlocking, I didn't bother looking tbh since I'm very sure you can't unlock it unofficially, but if you do find something then do it on your own risk.
good news managed to get wifi to work now trying to download update from the phone it's slowly going lets see if it installs safely this time boyz will update
gotta admit was a rough one

Well that's good, I've never heard a Xiaomi update bricking a phone except MI A3 recent Android 11 update. So most likely it will work fine. Make sure you have enough charge in the battery.
Gotta ask, how did you fix it? Did you do a test point?
well it's not over yet my dude, lets see how it's going to update this one hopefully everything will work fine
well I did had to use test points for nothing lmao, plus tweaking with right drivers from device manager and stuff...
well lets hope it works out... it was a nightmare bud

Well I know I'd want a way out of this fast, so if you're still looking for a way to flash another ROM I think Hydra tool can unlock bootloader through EDL mode.
