Which TWRP for NSTV-2017?

I would like to install TWRP on my new rooted NSTV-2017, but I'm not sure which one is best. I see TWRP v3.1.1-1 listed on Nvidia Shield Zone, but it wasn't actually installed as part of the rooting process. I also see Unofficial TWRP v3.0.2 listed here on XDA.
My NSTV-2017 booted OK with TWRP v3.1.1-1 when I did a fastboot boot twrp-3.1.1-1.img, but I don't know if that means it is fully functional and safe as a full-time recovery image. TWRP v3.0.2 is not "official" either, but I don't know if it is more (or less) stable than TWRP v3.1.1-1.
Has anybody installed TWRP v3.1.1-1 for their recovery mode, and does it work OK?
Thanks,
I have a 2017 16GB edition shield with Android 8.0
The last three days I've been tryi g to find a way to boot twrp with this rom.
.
nv-recovery-image-shield-atv-7.2.2-dev_rooted.zip
.
Flashing the rom is 100% successful and it boots and, works well, but the flashing of a TWRP that boots up is difficult to succeed with.
Have tried to flash every available twrp at twrp.me and those for both ShieldTV and shieldtablet from newest version down to 3.1.0-0 on both versions with no luck.
This i have gone thru a guide at https://nvidiashieldzone.com/shield-android-tv/android-8-oreo/shield-tv-2017-root/
Did all suggested in this guide and the guide for Android 7.
Nothing at all makes twrp boot on my shield with a 24" 1080p monitor.
My 65" 4K Samsung i use after flashing.
Hope somebody has any tip as to what to try next.
Thank you for any and all help.

Nvidia has made alot of changes in the 7.2+ versions, which is why twrp dosnt work.

Custom Recovery dir Pendant?

Hi,
Can anybody build TWRP for Pendant ?
Or can i use an existing custom Recovery?
Greetz bspunker
TWRP Builder is a place to start.
There are also TWRP recovery images for AMLogic S905x based TV Boxes on freaktab.com.
But as far as I know @rbox is the only one that has done TWRP recovery specifically for Fire TV devices.
I agree, we do need recovery for this device.

[Recovery][Pitchblack-Recovery][Platina] Fork of TWRP for Mi 8 Lite

I have nothing to do with this project at all. I was simply introduced to it today from a helpful user. The fact that all the versions we have of TWRP are flawed in some way, it is nice there is yet another recovery choice that seems to be up to date and full of features. It does not appear to be backwards compatible with TWRP so you cannot restore TWRP backups with this.
EDIT: I have discovered if you rename your TWRP folder to PBRP, Pitchblack will see it just fine. I have NOT attempted to restore a TWRP backup using this., but it is promising it may work.
As I have nothing to do with this project I will not provide any support for issues you may have while using this recovery. I have so far not had any problems using it. Good luck!

Pitchblack-Recovery for Mi 8 Lite Platina Downloads

Just got around to testing the restore function. It worked.....unlike TWRP. Thankfully! TWRP never has been able to.

can it be installed in miui 12.0.3 and android 10?
my device is mi 8 lite (platina)

Help with newer edition ONN Tablets (Android 11 versions of Surf Gen 2)

Thanks to the resources in this forum, I've been able to successfully root an Android 10 Surf 8" Pro tablet. I, however, have noticed that all of the files here are for the android 10 versions, and that a new series with the same names and different model numbers, equipped with android 11, have surfaced. I tend to get confused with everything, but have figured out how to patch a boot.img with magisk, get it back on my pc, and flash it with ADB and Fastboot. My issue is, that I don't have TWRP or recovery options to get the stock firmware off my newer tablet, the 7" with the model number 100026191. I don't want to try and patch the provided image for the A10 Surf gen 2 7" and flash that for fear of boot loop, so I was curious if anyone in here had a successful method of getting this devices stock firmware or possibly hosting it in a GDrive like the previous edition.

I'm here for the firmware request for the onn 100026191 Android 11 Go

Need how to guide to root surf onn gen 2 7” table

I need help finding the instructions to root Walmart surf onn 7” tablet running android 11 go version..
I have the 100005206 model running on Android 9 Pie Go Edition. It can easily be rooted but the method is a bit unorthodox due to the boot image being devoid of a ramdisk. The only root solution for Android 11 or Android 11 Go Edition is Magisk. The method will depend on your boot image and whether it incorporates a boot-ramdisk. If so, you patch and flash a stock boot image. If not, you patch and flash a stock recovery image. What is your model number? I'll try to get some more info for you.
Viva above is correct. You can try patching the boot img from the firmware and doing a fastboot flashing unlock to unlock the bootloader, but it doesn't always work on Go
