Does anyone know how to restore the boot partion? I think that this time I achieved to brick my phone. I tried to (read: FAILED) to downgrade the latest 2.3.5 and now no matter what I do, all I get is "update failed messages." I can't get into recovery (CWM or the standard) since when I boot my phone to the pink screen, nothing happens; no partion shows up anywhere. BLAH!

It already is "semi-bricked", so it's a win-win situation whatever the result may be. It's just taking ages to download the needed rom file. blah x 2....

Well kind of yeah...I started to download the pro ROM that was mentioned there, but DL failed for 3 times after I gave up.

Trust me, I tried pretty much everything...went so far that now my phone seems to be totally dead, it doesn't even start when I try to turn it on. Time to get a new toy or something. You win some you lose some.
Hello everyone, yes I know there's a few sources about already with some 4.2 software available but I wanted to start up a thread specifically asking people who are on Stock 4.2 software, 2.24.XXX.X please can you make a backup and upload it and share it here. We need as many different carriers as we can get so if you're running Stock just please upload it.... If you're not sure how to upload let PM me and I'll help you with it.

I have found a nandroid for 1.27.206.1 (o2 germany)
could I flash this, install stock recovery, relock and get ota? seems to match uk number
EDIT: seems that touchscreen won't work for android 4.1.2 on 1.54 hboot (damn)
I can dump and upload my backup when I come back home.

with 4.2 cwm puts the backups to the /0 partition of the sdcard... annoying.... you have to move it to your sdcard then move it on your phone from the sd to the sd/0 cwm folder.... i hope that makes sense

also it was uploaded to gdrive which means the filename has gone wierd (looking kinda like 7894573890475h90834yjdoyjt4skqp.rar) will this **** up the md5 check>???

BTW, just get S-OFF using rumrunner_m7_2.24.401.8 (FIXED) on my 2.24.206.7.
But be carefull, my WiFi died after rumrunner. I was unable to turn it on. I had to restore CWM backup...

Yes, I was on stock rom. Just flashed recovery to get root. Now I'm running clean 4.3 from HTC.
Right i have renewed hope for later now i will report back in a while

Thought it might be helpful to post this here as well I know its not a nandroid backup but here is a link to a ROM that should install on all devices that is HTC dev unlocked

Hopefully this is helpful for anyone struggling to find a ROM version that is currently supported by rumrunner.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but...
As far as I know, rumrunner needs the right firmware installed, so this won't help anyone unless they already have a firmware installed that is supported by rumrunner.
Eg my firmware is 2.24.61.1 (CID ORANGE001)
So rumrunner wont work.
Ive been trying to find an RUU for x.x.61.x to send to them so they can add support but have had no luck.

It looks like your EFS folder is damaged/corrupted as there is no imei number. Go back to the place where you bought the phone and have them fix it. If they can`t restore it you need a new motherboard.

I`am afraid i`am not kidding, have you rooted the phone or flashed a custom rom/kernel? Or is everything stock as you got it?

Install this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vndnguyen.phoneinfo , this contains the hidden secret codes for your samsung and you could mail the author @vndnguyen for more help. I haven`t done this myself so can`t help you a lot.

I have a P8 lite 2017 PRA-LX1 and want to install a custom rom or treble and I believe I need to get to oreo and EMUI 8 before I can progress.
I've installed many customr roms before but never on Huawei and only up to Marshmallow so been searching answers but not finding anything clear
I unlocked the bootloader
I have installed TWRP via fastboot and can boot into it.
But after looking at the threads to install treble roms or pie roms it's not clear how to preoceed from here, can somebody please help!

Here you will find how to, it is not so difficult, basically you have 3 steps, at least it's what I did:
First: download update.zip (original firmeware for PRA, there is a link, it is russian but write in search bar PRA-LX1 and then yoy will get results, do not download OTA because for this method it does not work) and copy it to sdcard as update.zip
Second: nocheck.img (install from TWRP) and copy to sdcard
Third: TWRP and install nocheck.img to recovery partition
Fourth: TWRP open advanced, terminal and write this as follows:
echo --update_package=/sdcard/update.zip > /cache/recovery/command
reboot recovery
After reboot, oreo firmware is installed, you have to reinstall twrp (for oreo, the one you have now does not work). These are the steps I followed and it went fine for me, do it carefully and do not interrupt the process. Good luck, if you need help just let me know.

The only .zip you need is one about 1,7gb (I do not know what are the other zip files, I never used them).
I am trying to attach nocheck.img but I can not, send me an email by private message and I'll send it.
