Anyone know where i can get the battery replaced on the Axon 7 in the UK? My battery drains too quickly and does not last a day. Ive looked at the videos on Youtube and it looks tricky to replace the battery. I love my Axon 7 especially the front facing speakers.
I replaced mine a few days ago. It's one of the easiest battery replacements I've ever done. It's very easy. Just make sure you have the proper tools

Just be careful when disconnecting the ribbons and carefully removing the battery from the screen as mine took a lot of finesse and some heat to pry it loose. I now have a great battery but now have no home and back button after attempting to repair many times. Luckily there is an app you can use to at least make my phone usable again.

how did you break those? The ribbon for the buttons is on the other side of the frame... are you sure your screen ribbon is well connected?
Have you tried pushing on the screen roughly where the volume buttons are located, to see if it gets reseated? It's weird that the screen works but it might be just that

I took the phone apart 4 times ensuring the ribbons were well connected hoping that may have been the culprit. Also took the battery out each time, applied pressure all around the screen which makes me think I might have shorted out something. Strange though the right button still works, just the home and back button not functioning.
And this, folks, is exactly why you shouldn't be dissasembling phones unless you're very skilled with with electronics repair. You forget to connect a cable or w/e, then post here with complaints. I'm not physically well coordinated, my hands lack the fine motor skills and dexterity to work with small parts. If I have electronics hardware I need worked on, I take them to a friend's shop and he does the work for a small fee. I get everything back knowing the job is done right.

I have pretty basic electronic skills, and I found the battery replacement pretty easy.
There are plenty of guides on youtube, and as long as you have a decent toolkit--spudger, flat metal pry tool, correct sized bits--it should be an easy thing to do.
One step to watch out for is at the beginning; you need a hair dryer/heat gun to loosen the plastic bezels at the top/bottom of the front face. Be careful applying too much heat. My top bezel has a small bend divot from where it got too soft and bent when I removed it.
Just go slow and take your time; I think my take apart and reassembly was just over 30 minutes.

And also the latest version of the imgur-app drains the battery extremely - if active, the battery only lasts for about 4 hours.
(I constantly force-quit it to get over half a day)

that's the kernel, it's probably not too optimized - but it's not necessarily the only reason! If you set up a decent ROM with a good kernel like one of Kran's EAS kernels and still get bad battery life, then you can bet it's the battery (you still don't need to - run Accubattery, let it log for about 3 days, then check the capacity estimate).
I honestly don't know or care about the persist stuff because I've gone through roughly the same ROMs than these guys here and have no such trouble. But I won't deny it
Btw if you get a fast discharge of a couple % after disconnecting the phone or your phone shuts down unexpectedly at 10/20/30%, those are telltale signs of battery degradation.
Introducing too many variables can confuse the issue.
I've been on the same rom since 9/2017 - RR 14.x based. I used to go 2 days between charges, now it's 1 day. Usage hasn't change all that much. I have a battery on order. I'd also like to update to 15.1. Goal is not to do any upgrading until at least a week or two after installing the new battery. Otherwise, existing SoT and battery usage numbers will have little value.
Of course, it's a good idea to perform a backup (twrp/titaniuam) for anyone replacing the battery just in case something goes wrong along the way and your phone turns into a brick.

Latest LOS 15.1 Unofficial fix this for me. Maybe dev make better the kernel now.

You think there's much difference between an oem and third party battery? I'm only two charges in on the cameron sino, but still showing about 2700 mAh with accubattery. Tempted to get one of those usb amp meters to see what it's really taking in.
So far 3 full charges (1-2% to 100%). Accubattery still showing ~2650-2700 mAh capacity.
Actual use seems to be restored. Note the pic below.

point is, there is pretty much no way to know whether the battery you are buying is original or not. many bought the original looking ones and they have the font slightly off, knockoff-like... Which doesn't matter anyways because they perform just as good (or bad?) as a new OEM battery.

Past use wasn't quite the same. I'd typically recharge around 40% (to 100%). Getting to 40% would take less than a day. So there's definitely more life to it. Going 2 days between charges would be satisfactory.
I'll give it another full cycle to see how it's doing. Not sure another battery would make a significant difference. Seller might offer an exchange but is it really worth the hassle.........

you don't get it entirely. If that battery really has 2700 mAh, its capacity is about to fall off a cliff, and your phone will start having early shutdowns whenever you give it any load. that's pretty much how it works with lithium, it is advised to change the battery when it is at 80% capacity since it'll start behaving like crap in no time
Our batteries probably have a newer/better chemistry than those on the picture (they are charged at 4.4V), but the concept is the same.

Accubattery indicated ~2000/2100 mAh for the old battery. In terms of actual use I'd be at ~30% by the end of the day with my typical use. Phone never shut down/rebooted. I don't play games or run cpu benchmarks. Probably the most intensive activity would be creating twrp backups with compression, titaniumbackups, playing youtube (hd), or running speed tests (symmetrical gigabit network). We'll see how the phone works after a month. This was an ebay/paypal transaction so there's 180 days to make any sort of claim on it. It's a $16 battery - If I'm able to go two days between charges like I used to, I'll be a happy camper regardless what the app says. I do have one of those KEWEISI amp meters on order so it'll be interesting how that compares to the app.

that's weird. if anything i can tell you i had lots of shutdowns when my battery was at 2500 mAh, and people around here are using batteries around the same capacity with the same problems.
But it's possible that you just don't abuse it that much, I'm talking about 100% CPU usage, for example taking an HDR+ enhanced pic with GCam (CPU pegged, 10+ pictures snapped in a second). there was no way to do that with less than 30% battery, it shut down immediately.
still, i guess you saw the graph. Please tell me how it goes with the charge counter, it might just be that Accubattery is off by ~400 mAh and that's why you didn't get nearly as much trouble with the older battery.

Found this deal while searching for a deal on batteries for the Fuze. Haven't bought them, usually skeptical about eBay items, especially from China. Figured I'd post a thread with it so if anyone would like to purchase at a low price. States that they're both 1340mAh. If they both work as expected it'd be a great price, but again still skeptical about buying from a Chinese eBayer.

I also bought the 2 batteries and charger for $20 like Lulugirl. All seem to work well. My only problem is that my Touch Pro doesn't recognise the battery level in the new batteries. So when I put in one of the new batteries, the battery meter on my device shows 0% battery. It still works though. I just use it until the phone turns itself off because of a low battery. Seems to last about as long as the stock OEM battery, but I'd of course prefer to have a warning as to how much battery life I have left.
Lolugirl (or anyone else), have you had this problem? If so, were you able to fix it?
All in all though, they were cheap enough that I am still happy with my purchase, especially since my usage drains the battery in less than a day.

That's proof that these batteries are fake.
I got the batteries after 2 weeks finally! They both have the same serial number and part number. But the serial and part numbers are different from the factory battery.
I noticed sticker on the battery is less clear than the factory battery I originally had. I will try it out later on my Fuze when I have the time.
I bought the same battery package as lulugirl896 (two generic batteries + standalone charger). They work fine, no problems whatsoever. The reason these batteries are cheap is because they are not OEM (HTC) batteries, but generic no-brand batteries. Since the labels are just copied, the serial numbers on all of these batteries are identical (13XA188P003454).
They are working fine in the original UK Touch Pro and Fuze (pretty much the same capacity as the OEM battery). However people who have CDMA Raphaels (Sprint/Verizon) have been having problems like juttonn described (always shows 0%, or "Battery not recognized").
The battery power seems jumpy. It was at 97% before I shut the power off for the night, then when I turned it on in the morning it was down to around 60%? I ran it for 8 hours on airline mode (the screen was on though), now it's down to 34%. I'll try it for another few days and report back.

Same here! just got mine yesterday, definitely a fake less clear label with the same serial number hmhm! Haven't tried mine yet either, maybe tonight hopefully they don't kersplode or anything!

Initial tests seem good!
When I first put this battery in straight out of the package it showed up in TBattery as FULL(mAh): 900, but after letting it charge once and then run all the way down and now as you can see from this screen shot it has charged back up again, it is showing the full 1340 mAh so thats good!
This battery lasted all day yesterday in my phone! I am very satisfied, but as stated above it is obviously a fake, the HTC label is a bit blurry and the serial is the same on both batts, but oh well! seems to work well!

Glad to know! But the percentage I see is wrong most of the time. So I just switch batteries every day. My charger has a light to determine if the battery is fully charged or not.
Can anyone confirm that Tbattery fixes the problem with the fake battery? I am am a bit afraid of trying it out since I haven't even hard-spl my device yet and I know it's not an ordinary program.
mine arrived last week and have used both through 3 power cycles and they appear to do drain much quicker than my oem battery. Where do you get TBattery to test? Google doesn't seem to come up with anything.

I noticed after the 2nd and 3rd cycle the battery indicator is more accurate now and not jumping around. I also noticed the same, where they do drain faster than the stock OEM battery.

i've just received an extended battery (cheap non htc) from ebay for my HD2. But since I placed my order I've heard that some nand roms don't work correctly with this type of battery.
Anybody know what type of problem I might run into with an extended battery, which roms definately don't work with an extended battery and if there are any fixes for the roms that don't work with one?
The only non-working batteries with Android are the HTC original 2300 ones.
Every other battery works fine with NAND.
And I got one of those expensive HTC things....

Confirming this is true for the OP as I do use the 2400mA from Ebay (got it for $13) on NAND, also used it with all SD builds, Non-EB and EB based.

Really? Wow, so you dont notice any issues with overheating when charging or not being able to charge to 100% in the phone?
What sort of battery life do you get? Should be like 35-40hrs right?
I have an ebay 2600mah that I got for $13 which seems awesome but I've only run it in the phone for a short period so far. It even has the back cover with a kickstand. I had to wait a month for it to get here from Singapore and it just got here yesterday.
I've switched to NAND ROMs now but at one point I had an SD build that I was getting 20+hrs battery life out of. I havent really had he chance to fully evaluate the battery life with my NAND builds but so far it looks to be not as good....

im running android 2.2 nand.
so i wont have any problems with any extended battery?

The word out there is that aftermarket extended batteries - like the 2400mAh work well with NAND. I forked out $10.00 USD, what the hey..they've all gotten decent reviews, and work with NAND.

60% better than the stock is what I get, depending on how I use it, I CAN go 2 days easily.
I don't have any heat issues, it gets warm but nothing that seems different than with the stock.
I got the same as you, just 2400mA, comes with the cover and the kickstand, the cover is cheap plastic and pops off easy, it's not a durable and nice as the stock back and the kickstand broke after like 3 uses but oh well, a $13 battery with 60%+ battery life is fine with me.
Keep in mind, when you get your EB, it WILL drain from 100% to 0% and turn off (same as the stock battery) however, when it dies you just take the battery out and put it back in then reboot and it'll have ~60-65% remaining.
In my opinion, NAND and SD have the same battery life, NAND ahead a little bit because it doesn't spike as frequently.

--- All of this is based off of hands-on experience, I use the 2400mA Ebay Battery with the cover and kickstand and have been since Late September.
Yeah I bought the cheap one with the kickstand, only took 11 days to reach the UK from hong kong.
No issues so far other than it seemed to drain really quickly from 100% to 79% in about 2 hours with no usage, its been okay from 79% though, dunno if it needed a long 1st charge.
I got the same issues with the HTC extended battery.
Charging / usage is reported wring by NAND kernels, worked OK tho with Hastarin's kernel. On MDJ's kernel it will even shut down at boot-up.
With SD builds when I plug in the phone it shows up as charging extremely fast then after unplugging charge falls also extremely fast to about 70-60% and then drains normally.
Offering as tester if anyone has any idea or beta NAND kernel that might fix this.
By the way in WinMo it charges perfectly and drainage is excellent/normal as advertised, so it's not a battery issue but a kernel support issue.

Just wanted to report back. I have the $13 Singapore 2600 mah battery and it works with MDJ Cyanogenmod 7 v2.6.
I dont even have to remove and replace the battery for it to work. It's not perfect though, it basically runs down normally (slightly faster than I would like) and lasts a full day getting down to a 15% charge. Then it stays at 15% for another entire day and then discharges normally from there.
With all the progress that has been made on Android for HD2, I feel optimistic that the last several minor bugs will eventually be worked out and the device should function flawlessly.
I dont even have to remove and replace the battery for it to work. It's not perfect though, it basically runs down normally (slightly faster than I would like) and lasts a full day getting down to a 15% charge. Then it stays at 15% for another entire day and then discharges normally from there.

Yeah I get exactly the same with the cheap EB, dont need to remove the battery but it runs down fairly quickly to 15% then stays at 15% for ages. I have tried a variety of roms both nand & CWM, they all give similar results. Obiously the battery isn't running down very quickly at all, rather it's the way its level is being reported by the OS.

2 weeks ago I woke up to a non working headphone jack, and excessive battery depletion. The phone also began to run warm all the time, regardless of screen on/off. With the screen off I'm seeing battery usage at 10-15% or more per hour. At night if I go to bed with a fully charged phone I have an almost dead phone by morning.
The headphone jack gave a lot of electrical feedback/clicking when plugging in headphones, so using a mulitmeter discovered that there was power coming thru the headphone jack - even when the device was powered off. It wasn't much, but I verified this wasn't normal with another working phone. I then removed the headphone jack, but this did not affect the quick draining battery.
I had been on Oreo a few weeks before these issues began, so I downgraded to Nougat, that didn't make any changes, I've ran in safe mode for great lengths, I've upgraded back to Oreo, - nothing seems to affect the battery drain issue.
I purchased a battery from Ebay, it appears to be an OEM Huawei battery, and is almost a year older than the battery that came with my phone. I just put this replacement battery in last nite, to no difference in battery drain.
I began using Battery Historian a few days ago, and do not see anything there to indicate this severe of battery drain. I'm on a BYOD program with my workplace and use Airwatch - Inbox pops up a lot in the wakelocks and cpu usage - but the app usage info doesn't indicate that it is responsible for the severe amounts of drain. I've restricted facebook and messenger from background activity, even uninstalled them for a few days with no difference. Battery Historian Device Power Estimates every time has the following line right on top:
0 UNACCOUNTED 0 89.88%
I understand UNACCOUNTED is ok to be here, but 89% of my battery usage is unknown? If Android doesn't know where my battery usage is going what other options are there?
Could there be a hardware issue? Bad motherboard? I purchased my phone used thru gizmotrader.com - it was in excellent shape. The 1 year warranty from Huawei expired in early September 2017, so the phone was relatively new when I received it. The only "abuse" I can speak to is that I use a vent magnetic mount in my car. The 6P does get warm while fast charging, so I would help keep it cool by allowing the AC to blow on the phone while I'm in the car. Even if it wasn't charging it would have the cold air blown on it. Using Accubattery the battery temp would start off in the low 90's and drop to 70's when charging with the AC blowing on it. I didn't give it much thought before, but I'm beginning to wonder if those temp swings might have caused an internal issue beyond the battery. I'm considering a motherboard swap might be next, but for the cost of that I might as well move on.
Any advice on suggestions for what I could for on the motherboard? Any ideas about usage looking at Battery Historian screenshots?

You need a new battery.
Install Accubattery and see what it says about the state of your battery.

I find it odd that at the very end you mention using Accubattery for temperature readings but nowhere in your (very long) post did you mention the health of either your old or new battery.... why not? Did you not know Accubattery estimates the current capacity of your current battery wrt to a new one? My personal opinion is you don't want to believe that both your old battery and (older) replacement are both bad. Granted the headphone jack is weird but you didn't mention any trauma or water to the phone. I agree with the others that more than likely you need good replacement battery. A motherboard is not economically viable for the N6P, but for now a cheap battery is in order. PS.. If you want a better battery drain app, try using BBStats by a dev here on XDA.

Yes it is safe to use a new battery w/o a temp sensor. There are dozens of threads identifying which are good batteries and where to purchase them. Cameron Sino is one.
BBS exports a text file from the menu. You can get expert help in the Dev's XDA thread by posting it there. If Accubattery was reporting 97% battery capacity, I would not have changed the battery.... you may have something else going on there, but now you need to change it out. Try running BBS again on a full charge for a full 8+ hours and don't touch the phone, just let it run down. In the morning, pick it up and export the data to text. Analyze/post that file and see if that gives you better data than Battery Historian.
So after a few days of charging and usage, Accubattery has the replacement battery at 99% health. I'll leave that lone for now.
Last evening I decided to do some basic testing and put the headphone jack back in. With the battery unplugged, there was no continuity between the 3 sections on the AUX cord I was testing with. With the battery plugged in, there was continuity. With battery in, I was also picking up 1-2mA coming thru the AUX cord (basic 3 section plug). From what I can find, the normal layout of the plug is ground is closest to base (furthest from tip). I get a negative reading when using that section as the ground, but a positive when putting the positive lead on what should be the ground. Moving the probe between left/right is pulling identical amounts of juice. I then moved on to the temperature issue, using an infrared and the multimeters wired thermometer noticed quick increases in temp when the battery is plugged in. The area with the highest temp was under the shielding directly above the fingerprint sensor, closer to the top right - using iFixit breakdown pics it looks to be the Qualcomm Audio Codec in that vicinity. I played around with this for a bit - unplugging the battery, taking temps, plugging battery in, taking temps - consistently that same spot would be the greatest increase - going from a room temp mid 70's to near 100 in a matter of minutes while powered off. I didn't take the mobo completely out, so I'm aware the heat could be radiating from the other side - but on that exact flip side appears to be the 32Gb flash memory chip, the processor and ram are just below it.
I have the output from BBS, can't seem to post it. Can't add attachments - tried to copy and paste but was blocked because I can't post outside links, which were from the output file... I'm going to stop by a local repair shop today, see if they might be able to offer some assistance.

You can use PasteBin (link) if having a problem with posting a text file to XDA. Dev is really good about helping out. You must know that part is cheap (and the usual culprit for water damage) to replace. You seem to have enough experience or maybe more than the techs you are going to run into (and pay).
Cameron Sino is no longer selling reliable batteries. Several people are reporting they are now wrapping 3000mah generic batteries in their wrappers and claiming 3450mah. I was one of the people scammed by them. Also Beltrons are fake too. To be clear, they work just fine, but only at 3000mah. Or less

That's good to know. I'm in the process of buying a new battery and am still deciding.
To update this, I went to a local repair shop that does micro soldering. They wouldn't touch my Nexus. I was very tempted to buy a small soldering kit and attempt a repair myself. Before I made that purchase tho, I decided to look at buying a damaged phone that I could salvage a motherboard from. I paid $61 for a similar spec phone that had a bad display. I installed the salvaged motherboard last night, and 14 hours in and everything is working fine. Battery lost 3% during the night with all my normal apps and everything installed. Didn't go thru and restrict any background usage yet, so can probably do better there.
I'm going to look at attempting a repair on my original motherboard now that I'm not dependent on its survivability, considering I have limited experience. It will be a learning experience for sure and if I am able to fix it - will be good to have a back up motherboard!

Great news. With a good battery and motherboard you should be good to go for a long time.
Im sorry if I do something wrong, I'm new at this. I have had my mxp for a while now and I never got great battery life but recently it has been terrible, when I unplug it I lose 5% in a couple minutes without even using it! I updated to Android 7.0 to see if that would help at all sadly it hasn't. I also turned wifi and Bluetooth scanning off and location is on battery saver. I haven't gotten 2 hours of sot in forever even with lite use, I swear I'm always plugged in. I included screenshots of my battery usage from an average day, is there anything I can do to fix/help it?

If you have poor standby time, and you have root you can try better battery stats. It should help you nail down if your phone isn't getting into deep sleep, and what is keeping it awake. Without root you can still get a feel for how much the device is awake by looking at the details you get when you touch the trend in Settings -> Battery.
You could try booting into safe mode and seeing if your battery life improves. That will disable everything but system apps. Do it by long pressing Power Off after holding the power button to bring up the power menu. It won't tell you what app is the problem, but it will let you know if you have a rogue app you installed causing battery drain.

My phone was at 48% and I restarted it and it turned back on with 5% battery any idea how that can happen? I rebooted it again to see if it was a mistake but came up as 4% I wish I could include the screenshot but I'm too new I guess.
Your battery is failing. Theres nothing other than a battery replacement.

My phone started doing this almost 4 month ago, when i updated to nougat. Normaly for me the problem is with the battery meter but not the battery. That means that the phone still have 46% and if you use it you will see the battery get stuck at 4%. Just don't restart your phone. Also after charging your phone power it off and on, if you see a jump in battery just keep charging and repeat the process until there is no change! There is a big chance that also your battery is almost dead but if you not add screenshots of your use there is no much more we can do for you!

I had this weird problem with my battery too! MXPE on stock nougat , as soon as I charged my phone to 100% and plug out it used to drop below 80 in 2 minutes ! and then when the percentage hit ~20% It used to turn off showing that white screen you mentioned, however when I plugged the phone in it would start charging at ~15% ! so I tried recalibrating my battery and it is surprisingly effective !
here is the method:
1) drain your phone battery until it shuts down.
2)power it on again and you will see that white battery low picture. plug the charger for 3 or more seconds and out, it will boot up again but as soon as the Rom boots up the phone will die again . do it multiple times.
3)charge the phone while it is off until 100%. turn it on and drain the battery as fast as possible (max brightness, volume, streaming videos on cellular data and running benchmarks will do ) till the phone dies again.
4) repeat (2)
5) charge the phone up to 100% while it is off ! and there you go your battery is recalibrated and good to go!
Obviously, this will shorten the batteries lifespan but since I believe you have it for a long time It won't be an important matter!

Yes, it seems that your battery es dead. You can try one last thing if you want. Try to use the phone in safe mode and check how much Screen on time you got. To enter safe mode press the power button until the power off prompt appear. Then maintan the turn off pressed and the device will reboot to safe mode.
Better battery stats will work fine with non rooted phones you just have to run some commands in adb.

If the phone is under warranty they must replace your battery. If the phone isn't then you have to ask and see what happens and how much they will charge you.
Also it is not dificult to do it yourself. You will need a really good T4 screw driver, a heatgun, doble sided tape or a sticker to put the back agin. Finally a good battery replacement. You can search in the section for battery replacement and search youtube for tutorials. Good Luck with that!
Battery is now consistently dieing around 30 percent now, I think it's time for a new phone sadly.
Nearly a month now that battery dying at around 25-30% and hardly see the battery saver mode anymore. Also SOT hardly gets more then 1.5 hours so i think my battery life time is gone too.
Update: Strange behaviour today. After nearly a full charge got a auto power off some minutes after and when opened again it has gone directly at 3%
Will give it a try with a normal charger just to make sure the problem isnt with the turbo one!
Any suggestions for a replacement for my MXP? I'm looking at the $300 price range and headphone jack is a must!
Onward is the only way forward.

Moto X Pure Edition... 64GB edition . HTCs from that time period are said to be good all-around as well, but run even more expensive than the Pure Edition already does (and it seems to be holding its value somewhat better than expected). Personally, if my Pure Edition doesn't pull through, then I might just find another one, but the Nexus 6 has been a decent temporary replacement (aside from that screen).

Moto G5 Plus or G5S Plus... Or Honor 7x
To be honest, these are the only phones in the $200-$300 price range I would look at right now... Either will increase battery life 2-4 times, include SD card support, have a traditional headphone jack, and at least as much horsepower. Most other things like camera is a wash, the main drawback of any of these is they do not have NFC and sound quality can be a bit lacking, but few phones under $300 do with similar features.
A budget alternative (under $200) is the ZTE Axon 7 Mini at $169.99 from B&H Photo, it is an extremely under-rated device and although it is pushing just over a year old, it's features are hard to deny for the price, including NFC and truly amazing sound quality from both headphones and the stereo speakers. When this phone released it was $300.
TBH though, if I had to buy a device today and I had $200~$250 available... It would be the Honor 7x. Even pushing $350 to near $400, I would still go this route but once you hit $400 the choices I would make change a bit.

Honestly... I haven't liked LG devices since the G2 when I had a bad experience with it, but many people do like them... My issue here would be your paying ~$320 for a phone that is 15 months old, there isn't much argument about it's capabilities, most people like it. I would hop over to the XDA group for that device and read up some of the threads over the last view months and see what kind of issues people have been having, just silently skim for a bit and you will get a better feel for the device. On the good side it has a removable/replaceable battery, that would be a huge plus for this device. Your call on this one.
Personally, I just don't see the cost/benefit of most phones over $300 anymore... You can get a reasonable device for $200-$300 and in general to get much more you need to double or triple that amount now days but it isn't 2-3 times better.
So, it seems like my battery isn't quite behaving itself. I've turned of Moto Display, underclock GPU to 300mhz, and switched to 1080p instead of 1440p, used Amplify to control wakelocks and Greenify to hibernate things that like to run in the background. I have never gotten more than about 1hr30min of screen time. My phone stays relatively cool unless I'm playing a lot of games or watching a lot of videos on YouTube. I have a handful of xposed plugins (Amplify, GravityBox, Greenify, NougatNavigation Bar (I like the solid icons rather than the lines that comes with stock N) and Status Bar Cleanup).
Anyone think I should get a new battery? Not under warranty, so I can't do anything via that route.
Also, is eBay a good enough place to find a replacement battery as long as I make sure it's not a counterfeit?

Sudden drop off battery percentage ofb10% or more shortly after charger disconnect? Has the unusual battery occurred after any specific updates to any of your apps? Have you tried a factory reset (I know it's painful but it does help on occasion)? Just throwing it out there.

It doesn't make difference - restore default,

I rarely ever got 3 hours... GSAM's average SOT over time was about 2h 20m... Although I did have occasional instances with 4 hours (on WiFi, reading, at night, very low drainage usage). Not really the point though
Should you replace the battery, well, from what you say it sounds like it is due... The real problem is getting a quality replacement. You can find a ton of them on eBay or other online markets, but most users here will tell you that you can't get an OEM battery any more no matter what the seller says, they just don't exist, and most of the ones that state "new" are just knock-offs or batteries for other devices that are re-purposed (and often of lower capacity). There is a serious market for cell phone batteries, and there are lots of counterfeits out and just out-right lies there, so the real problem is getting a good replacement battery. It is literally luck...
Remember, this device is 2.5 years old... Meaning most batteries for it were likely made prior to that. Although I paint a gloomy picture (it is a bit gloomy) there has to be some decent ones out there, but expect to pay $20+ and it will still be a crap shoot. Remember that when replacing the battery in this device, it isn't the easiest so do your homework. You will likely want a new back cover assembly (door and adhesive) as well because a good majority of the time they get destroyed when performing the operation.
Oh, and before you go down this road I suggest wiping your device... everything... and set it back up with the absolute bare minimum stuff (don't install anything if possible) for a couple days and retest your SOT. Not saying that's the case here, but Nougat's battery/app management is pretty good and we have seen more and more tales of things like Greenify/Amplify and other tweaks for helping battery life having the opposite effect, with some people noting the more they try to tweak it the worse it gets. Just a thought...

Quite a few times my battery would drop ~5-6% just after I remove it from the charger (regular USB power, not the turbo charger). I have tried a factory once and I let the battery do the "break in" period just to see if the battery was calibrated or not. So far it seems it is calibrated...I've also tried draining the battery until it my it shuts off, then using the turbo charger and letting it sit for like ~8 hours (I forget where I saw that specific bit of advice. It was in response to someone else posting...I don't even remember where. Possibly XDA, not 100% sure).

I found my capacity to be 3034mAh...which is....quite odd. My battery isn't even fully charged.

There is a serious market for cell phone batteries, and there are lots of counterfeits out and just out-right lies there, so the real problem is getting a good replacement battery. It is literally luck...
Remember, this device is 2.5 years old... Meaning most batteries for it were likely made prior to that. Although I paint a gloomy picture (it is a bit gloomy) there has to be some decent ones out there, but expect to pay $20+ and it will still be a crap shoot. Remember that when replacing the battery in this device, it isn't the easiest so do your homework. You will likely want a new back cover assembly (door and adhesive) as well because a good majority of the time they get destroyed when performing the operation.
Oh, and before you go down this road I suggest wiping your device... everything... and set it back up with the absolute bare minimum stuff (don't install anything if possible) for a couple days and retest your SOT. Not saying that's the case here, but Nougat's battery/app management is pretty good and we have seen more and more tales of things like Greenify/Amplify and other tweaks for helping battery life having the opposite effect, with some people noting the more they try to tweak it the worse it gets. I actually tried to replace the battery once and I did such a terrible job that I ruined the contact points on the ribbon that connects to the main board. I wish I could get a new phone (like a Pixel 2) but I have nowhere near enough income or funds set aside for that. Maybe later this year...hopefully...and not necessarily a Pixel 2 but something that runs very close to stock AOSP. I would definitely miss the 2 front facing speakers on anything else. I saw ZTE Axon 7 and the Razer phone has them too...but no idea how close they are to stock AOSP. Maybe I'll take the plunge into flashing the stock Nougat images and let it be naked for a few days. That sure would be annoying...but if it helps my MXPE survive in good shape until I can afford another phone I'm all in.
Thanks everyone for the help! I'll look into my options and hopefully I can get a bit more time out of this phone until I can afford a newer one that doesn't have the stupid Snapdragon 808. I shake my fist at thee, battery hog!
I'm on Nougat stock and I keep getting battery down at 25-35% regularely. I can see that when I put phone in charge after it shuts down percentage charge numbers start where power down happened at 25-35% Tried a battery calibrate weeks ago with a play store app. At first looked like it got fixed but just for a day or so and back with same problem. Also SoT is terrible, getting max 1h and if i do a heavy use even less and I dont even use social media at all. No idea if its a dead battery or software problem seeing I was on custom rom before i reverted back on stock nougat. Waiting for a decent Nougat modem stock Rom to try it once again to see if a difference or not.

Honestly, if this does nothing, try a cache wipe, and if that doesn't help do a factory reset. If that fails as well, then the battery is likely beyond it's useful life (becoming more and more common lately) and will need to be replaced if you can find a quality replacement. There is no "trick" to getting the battery back.
It seems these batteries were engineered for 18-24 months of life and that is about it, as most modern devices themselves are only intended for a max of 24 months of usable life anyway... They sure seem to drop off significantly in charge capacity after that point.

After a couple of charge cycles it shows my battery at 89% of max. My manufacture date is 11-16-2016, so just over a year old. Of course, the battery could have been made before then by some months, I don't know.
