Fully functional ICS build by Team Eos

In the past few minutes BRD posted a link to a flashable zip that completes the Eos ICS build to have fully functioning HDMI and Camera. Apparently they pulled the drivers from a Chinese leaked version. I'll probably be flashing this tonight. Exciting stuff.

what link did he post? a fulll new rom? or just the camera binaries link

Just decided today that I'd try root and flash a eos ROM what great timing lol

Just the camera binaries. But he said that moving forward all the nightlies would contain the camera and hdmi fix.

Is this real? Is there any link to that fully funcional rom? Thnx in advance.

I have been reading about this chinese rom around but where exactly is this build that the link was posted for?

There are two separate files you need:
1st the rom on the front page of that thread and
2nd the camera binaries provided on the 14th page of the thread.
Don't ask me how to install them, I don't know how.

Correction 3 files are needed.
1. The Rom
2. Gapps
3. Camera binaries
Flash through Clockwork

The ROMs for ICS have been awesome! The last bits are finally done, data and the cameras. HDMI may be a concern for some but its not a deal breaker IMO. Team EOS really outdid themselves with the look and feel of this ROM. Very near AOSP with customizations in all the right spots.
Now there is no reason we can't get CM9 either. There is some Xoom work being done there also!

The latest nightly includes the camera binaries... also fixes HDMI... so if you start with #11, you only need that and GAPPS.

Already flashed this fix, but the faces don't work in the camera app :-(

Not yet... just watch the dev threads, they'll start one for the 601 as soon as they have it ready... ours only got data working because of a leak.

Just flashed the latest copy and it is awesome... Have been playing and the only issue I have found is that the autospell... everything else seems to work...

First Android 5.0 ROM for the OPO!

Hey everyone!
I was searching for an Android Lollipop ROM for the OnePlus One and today I found a working one! So yeah, it's still a beta of course but most things including Wifi and Camera are working. I made a video about how to flash it and in the description you can also find all the download links.

For me everything working except the alarm clock and bt.
If you try to turn on an alarm clock, phone goes to bootloop. Third party apps working okay.
GPS is working tested.

Oh that sucks. Anyone know if this test build will be getting automatic updates or ones that we can dirty flash later?

Most definitely you wont get automatic updates, but dirty flash could be possible in some cases.
Why do you need BT so much that you wont flash this on your device?

Oh no, I was talking about the alarm clock haha... I already flashed and this thing is so smooth lol I can't wait for very last supah-stable build of lollipop! I'm liking this so far, only problem is that it seems that I have lost root access. Should I just install SuperSU from play store or what?

Pure Android for ZE520KL or ZE552KL?

So...
I've been using this Zenfone 3 (ZE520KL), but actually I'd want to buy Nexus 5x or 6p (Google Pixel is too expensive so I don't wanna buy it).
Seems boring with the ZenUI because it has a lot of bloatware. I found on Google: how to make AOSP, but I'm still newbie, so I cannot make my own ROM.
If someone could build an AOSP, I will very excited. Thanks for the advance

You can install lineage or resurrection rom with stock gapps package. Closest you can get to pure aosp and better IMO.

Speaker Problems
Hello Guys,
I'm new here, I don't know too much about programming. I have already used CM/Lineage in some devices and always loved it. I have one 552KL and I installed the LineagoOS today. Unfortunately I have a problem: My speaker does not work properly. Some applications has sound and some do not. EX: WhatsApp, calls and notificatins works, games not, youtube not, music not.... What could I do? Thank all of you for this ROM and for sure I will make donations for this project!!

My device is Z012 and latest update for Z012 is 20170430 as we can see at Shakalaca MEGA folder.

You can install the latest (0706) Z017 variant! Its Works for both variants!

and make a clean install (wipe all) that make the difference.

Request/Suggestion Huawei P10 camera port

Hi, with the "shortcomings" of the essential camera app and the reality that the Google cam gets better images from just the color sensor. I'm wondering if anyone can get a port of the Huawei P10 camera app to make use of both sensors.

If you can find a P10 ROM with the stock camera app, you might be able to pull the apk. See if it installs and runs without the Huawei framework.

It won't install, and the original thread mentions it being from /system/priv-app, so looks like we'll need root to try it.

Can try the Magisk beta root method. Doesn't require custom recovery, as I understand it. Just an unlocked bootloader and some ADB commands

Also needs a stock boot.img, which means we need a system dump. Which should come, because Essential was pretty clear about being dev-friendly, but I'm gonna predict it comes in late September at the earliest after they've gotten past the launch problems.

I'm really hoping they stay true to their word. I think if they prove to not be very dev friendly that'd be the only thing to make me regret my purchase. As of right now I'm enjoying the phone but dying for some themes

I think we might have better luck with the OnePlus 5 Camera2.apk. It installs and works (except for Pro Mode). The quality doesn't seem quite as good as the GoogleCam mod, but it might be a decent starting point since the OP5 has dual cameras.

I couldn't get that apk to install - my phone asked me what app I wanted to open the file with and package installer wasn't in the list. Plague Inc was though, of all things

I would like to see a P10 port too but I guess we will have to wait for now. I don't think theres anything to gain from the oneplus 5 app as while it might be dual sensor the setup is not the same. The OP5 has two colour sensors one high mega pixel telephone so offer cleaner zoom and depth. The huawei p10 has a setup closers to the PH-1 combining a colour and monochrome image.

The Essential cam app is never going to do well if they can't figure out why it's compressing the images. Gcam works great.

What's the most current and bug free Pixel C Rom?

Hi. What's the most current pixel C rom that doesn't have any bugs or other issues? Looking to move away from stock but last I checked some of the roms had some bugs still. Is that still the case?

Lineage 17.1 is pretty smooth, camera crashes after ~30mins of video but I mean that's a lot, reboot fixes that. Sometimes on boot you have to wait ~2mins before unlock pattern will work if you want to secure it. Other than that, butter

Eh, bricking a Google device is pretty hard. Easiest thing is unlock it (enable oem unlocking) then flash twrp from fastboot (need a Linux liveboot or mac system to do that) then flash the rom+gapps. twrp should let you mount usb storage but if not you can adb 'em over, there's install instructions for all of those things in the requisite threads

Looks like it's not fully stable yet, if that's the right term. Says encryption not tested. I tried looking into installing Lineage 17.1 as tabormeister mentioned earlier in the thread, but couldn't find an easy how to guide. It's been a while since I've installed a custom rom. Do you know where I can get easier info about how to install it?
