Sound without bass on speaker in any Custom ROM - Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 Questions & Answers

Hi! I have problem with sound quality on the speaker. The sound on any custom rom is without bass. On Stock rom is very good. Is it possible custom rom does't have some audio drivers or frameworks ? Could someone do some MOD for this??

Use Dolby plus on magisk. Set the fx curve to U shaped in custom settings. It gives some quality sound; creates depth in the audio. However, if you want headphone-like bass, its not possible on this phone due to speaker hardware.

[Q] Taboonay 2.2 and DSP Manager

So far loving the Rom, but as is normal for me the headset volume at max is too low due to hearing loss (jet aircraft was the cause not loud music). Will DSP Manager work in Taboonay? I use it with my other rooted android devices. I am just not certain if there is some prepatory work by the rom builder or kernel developer that integrates the DSP App integration.
Thanks
Go into the settings and look at "Dolby Mobile". Can you not do that? Sure, it's not exactly the same as the DSP manager that, say, Cyanogenmod has but it should work for you...

Same here buddy not good of hearing what is did was dolby digital set to max on treble and half bass, then installed app called "equalizer- https://market.android.com/details?id=org.equalizerapp&feature=search_result"
this seems to max volume best. give that a try good luck
Have you figured out how to ensure that the external speakers don't work if the headphones are plugged in? This is a really annoying bug.

How to boost the speaker volume with mixer path edit

Been looking to boost the loundspeaker such as it is found some guides about editting lines in mixer_path.xml, only thing is my file does not have the values that the guides have which is why I asking the question, anybody know how to boost the volume of the loudspeaker ? I know the risks about blowing the speaker so did not want to just add the lines that I found, any advice or an app that is known to boost the loudspeaker ? Thanks in advance
Nobody knows? Or is everyone happy with the loudspeaker volume?
Have tried a few volume boost apps but they don't cut the mustard
I know you can use Kodi for video and audio files and it has an option to boost volume. You can even get a youtube plugin for those of you like. As for app and games no idea.

Hi, if I may, the answer to a louder sound from built-in speaker, as my colleagues have posted can be achieved by Volume Booster, from omega Centauri, a gemini from an reader app they make. Note that to avoid damage it only boost mid frequencies, avoiding bass and high treble. The quality lowers. So, kernels like Perseus, Devil, Shift, I could name the majority, have customized the approach with algorithms that have names like Boeffla, Faux and many others important, that are drivers lile ALSA for Linux or kernel mode WDM for W. And now try a Note 2 N 7100/7105 with and without Boeffla and all will become clear, specially the effort of developers that we admire. Congrats. :fingers-crossed: sorry for the bad english included.
Thanks all for the suggestions, none of them give me a boost that makes it louder through the speaker, , I also forgot that you can boost the system volume with Viper4Android(which boosts the speaker volume fine on my other device a oneplusone), this also does not work on the Nexus 7,I will have to just live with the low speaker volume as I cannot get it any louder

How do I boost the Spotify sound volume trough bluetooth headset?

As the title states; How do I boost the Spotify sound volume trough my bluetooth headset?
I recently bought a BT headset and I noticed that the volume coming from Spotify is lower than usual. Is there a quick fix for?
I do not have Viper4Android installed or any other 3th party EQ.

If you dont want to use sound mods like Viper, Dolby etc; you may want to edit responsible lines(i dont know) mixer_gains and mixer_paths files in /system/etc. Perhaps you can find if there is already edited ones. Although i suggest you to try Viper4Android or other sound mods.

I tried looking for it without any luck. The line editing thing.
I'm also unsure how to install Viper. It always came with my ROMS, but the current ROM doesn't have it.

[Z3+][STOCK][N] Listen in Hi-Res Audio DSEE HX (24BIT 48KHZ-192KHZ) by Rizal Lovins

Hello friends,
This was made originally for Xperia Z5 and I've just made the specific changes in the files and have shared the same.
Credit goes to:
Rizal Lovins (who made this mod). https://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=4666531
and GryTEcHoG (Who helped me bringing this mod to our xperia z3+)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Listen all music in High Resolution Audio on Sony Music!!!
Playback at 48KHZ and DSEE HX at 192KHZ
FINALLY. You will not hear any noise even if you don't turn on DSEE HX and with DSEE HX turned on audio will be much richer.
NOTE : I recommed you to listen music before you try this fix/mod to hear the different!!!
Requirements:
- Xperia Z3+ (Both single and dual sim)
- STOCK 7.0/7.1.1
- No other sound mod
- ROOTED/TWRP Installed
How to install?
Just flash with TWRP and after flashing clear data and cache from MusicFx in settings>apps>system apps.
Download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/dj1u5hoyd5jy7ln/Hi-Res_Audio_24bit_48KHZ_192KHZ_XperiaZ3%2B_7.0_7.1.1.zip?dl=0

For me Bluetooth audio works even after with this mod.
EDIT: After installing this mod, I would suggest to clean caches and do some burn in with speakers like 1 hour and let it idle for several hours like over night to calibrate it to get good balance else you might face low volumes.
correct me if i'm wrong, but doesnt our phone already support hi res audio? i listen to flac files with poweramp and mdr ex 750 na and it sounds good enought (at least for me). i'm not so audiophile person btw
i flashed it on RR 5.8.4 but is too low the volume in speaker and handsfree doesnt work (when i plug hansdfree is still play music in speaker). In call, the earpiece doesnt work - speaker is all the times. do u have an uninstall zip? or..

This mod has Noise reduction, high bit rate compared to default 16bit-98KHZ even without turning on DSXX.

Everything is working fine for me, may be you have a bad 3.5mm socket.
Just flash the rom you're using on top of the existing without wiping and clearing anything and you're good to go...

No currently this only works with stock rom, leads to mic and Bluetooth related problem in custom roms.
Though I'm looking to figure it out but it demands a lot of time to flash custom rom, test and then roll back to stock.
Tried on M-ROM
I want to assume this MOD is working on M-ROM correct? I am asking because M-ROM has all stock functionality and is basically a costomized stock rom. Has anyone tried yet? Thank you
Does this MOD mess with 1-bit single rate DSD Hi Res playback?

You have the only option of poweramp Hi-res in the latest version.
Otherwise it's going to suck sadly.
