[Discussion] Cyanogenmod-13 Nightly/Snapshot Thread

Usually , for other devices there is a "Official Nightlies Thread" where we can discuss the stability of the latest nightly and carry on discussions..
Since that's not there I've went ahead and created this thread..
The OP's not fancy and I'll work on it (if this gets enough attention and when I get time )
So let's get started.

Yep, but I think he is talking about the fact that the Slim team is back with official builds for other devices since a few days.

RN2 to get CM14?!

According to this listing (http://www.rootupdate.com/2016/09/cm14-cyanogenmod-14-update-list-download-rom.html?m=1), our device is confirmed to get CM14
My question is, how can that be? How trustworthy is this info?
We don't have CM13 yet, and we don't have complete kernel source so I don't believe we will get it any time soon...

Not trustworthy at all.
It's just blog of some random indian guy. He didn't even mention source of this. He's just pulling fake informations out of his ass and hopes he can attract more visitors. And you just helped him to do so.
Kernel by nofearnohappy is ready soon, so he will work in cm14 at first after he is done!

Is there any AOSP Nougat ROM available?

As far as I have searched every nougat ROM for our phone is based on CM sources. Is there any AOSP based ROM for our phone that I have missed?

I think you didn't search too much. You didn't find nothing about halogenOS / AOSP-OMS / CypherOS? They are however on first page...
If you don't see, don't say you didn't find.
There is also cypher os

Agreed still CM goes after CAF. And the above mentioned ROMs are not AOSP based.
I wasn't aware of Seraph's AOSP-OMS will check and revert.
Thank you people.

3 - 6 months...
Kernel source is the way to go but roms can be build with prebuild MIUI kernel too.
The main thing needed is developers...
To complement the answers there was an article a few months ago saying that xiaomi aims to shorten the time it takes to release the source code.
Not many seem very optimistic by these news. But I hope for the best.
