Hide Navigation Bar - Nokia 6.1 Plus (X6) Questions & Answers

Hello everyone, hope you're doing well.
I was wondering if there is an option to hide the navigation bar.
Thank you in advance.

You can do that easily with adb commands.
Code:
adb shell wm overscan 0,0,0,-190
You can change the value "-190" to anything between 0 and -210 depending on what works best for you.
Before trying this out, better set up some other method of navigation so you can still use your device.

Thank you for your reply.
Though I don't want to hind perminantly the navigation bar, instead I want to hide it when I'm not using it.

For that, you can download an app called Quick Settings by Simone Sestito.
You need to grant ad permission to the app by the command
Code:
adb shell pm grant it.simonesestito.ntiles android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS
And then you can add the immersive mode tile to your Quick Settings Panel.

Fluid navigation app
Just install fluid navigation app from playstore..And follow the instructions..( Note : This requires adb permissions ) . This was the best method for hide, gesture navigation & lot more shortcuts with gesture navigation

[REQUEST] Hide Status Bar and PIE Control

I was looking for an app to hide status bar, so i could use all screen. Does Anyone know how to hide status bar on LG G2?
Sorry my english
Hi,
I assume you are rooted, so you can edit the build.prop file (/sytem/build.prop) by editing it. At the end add "qemu.hw.mainkeys=1" (without the "") save and reboot (delete the line, save and reboot if you want the navigation bar).
But it's not really safe in my opinion...
There are some apps like this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmd.hidesoftkeys or Xposed module: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2477586.
This module to hide status and navbar. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2477586
Look up LMT launcher for Pie control. Works perfectly on my G2.
Sent from my LG-G2 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

The immersive mode works well but is there a way to only hide the navigation bar?
Some of the other apps that I tried disables other apps that help with navigation like All in one gesture, etc when the navigation bar is hidden.
Here is the link for those who need it
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.leedroid.shortcutter&hl=en
Edit: Spoke too early. Press and hold gives you the options.
This is a really good app.
Going to purchase it just to show the support.
This is one of the reasons I always rooted phones.. Next is to have GMD gestures but there are alternatives that work ok.
What's the immersive mode like? Can anyone post a screenshot please?

Immersive mode is the one that does not have task bar or navigation bar.
All apps work in total full screen.
Just what the doctor ordered. Good stuff, went premium. Thanks!

This looks super handy. One question, please: in immersive mode, does the navigation bar temporarily reappear if you tap on the screen?

If u swipe up from the lower edge of the screen it will re appear for a couple of seconds and then goes away.
I have not used the navigation bar for the last 3 to 4 years.. Felt like a wasted space... Always used Gmd gesture control app. But that app is only for rooted devices.
For now I am using all in one gestures. Works quite well.
The screen shot shows the gestures that I have configured
Why not turn on immersive mode using adb? No apps required.

Or you can set it on a per app basis: https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-enable-system-wide-immersive-mode-without-root/

hide nav bar

Which is the best app for non rooted phone to hide nav bar with adb commands
Perhaps give Tiles a shot by Rascarlo? There's an Immersive Toggle within the app, and it adds a lot of useful tiles. It is a paid app though, but definitely worth it.

Cool✌
Yes you can do it
Just download fluid navigation from play store and through adb make it work. Search google for more
Yes, there are some apps in the playstore that can hide navigation bar. I tested this when I was trying the gesture navbar from xda. Changed back after a day as I am not used to it.
Its about hiding not changing soft button (nav bar)
Through adb you can hide the nav bar without unlocking bootloader or root privileges.
Install system ui tuner. It has that option

FireHD10 (11th Gen 2021) Disable navigation bar auto hide feature

Hi all,
I have a HD10 (11th Gen/2021) tablet that I've run the Toolbox on and is now using Nova launcher (V7).
The navigation bar at the bottom of the screen auto hides itself, how can I disable that feature such that it stays on the screen?
Thanks,
J.
Okay, this is the opposite of what you asked, but I make the nav-bar disappear for specified apps using the following command.
adb shell settings put global policy_control immersive.navigation=org.mozilla.firefox,org.mozilla.firefox_beta,net.osmand.plus
So conversely, if Nova Launcher is listed in that setting, then maybe you can stop it auto hiding by removing it from the list.
adb shell settings get global policy_control immersive.navigation
Even less helpfully, I can recommend Emerald Launcher (from F-Droid).
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.amazon.firelauncher
adb shell pm set-home-activity ru.henridellal.emerald/.Apps
Hi there,
That worked a treat! Immersive navigation was wildcard'ed to everything (*)
I have disabled it (set it to nothing) and now have the navigation bar
Thanks for replying and helping.
