You will need to do some research, start on the LG website, I don't know the steps because my variant doesn't have a kdz available, believe you will need a pc, to connect the phone in download mode to flash

thank you so much sir for replying, what is really wierd is that when i connect it to my pc, kingo root detects it, and gives me the option to root, then the rootin process stops at fetching scripts.

LG G2 Bricked, Need urgent assistance.

I need some serious help guys. Phone is stuck at boot logo and wont turn on. IT wont enter recovery mode. it wont hard reset. It wont enter download mode.
The phone was completely stock originally. So i rooted using towelroot and ran the 'AutoREC' program. That did its thing and restarted and got stuck in fastboot mode. couldnt get out of it. Eventually managed to reflash all the original stock ROM partitions and it started to boot again... only to get stuck at the LG logo. I need some serious help.
PC wont detect the phone at all and its as if there is no OS on the phone. I have the D802 variant 32gb.

I am in the same position. Except I tried to flashify stock recovery on d800 at&t variant. I wanted to install the stock update because I was still stock. Just root with twrp before...I had the sprint variant before the ls980 and it never screwed me over like this. I'll post if I figure anything out... I got to get ahold of shellnutt... Have you tried both ways to enter recovery?
Push PWR + Vol Down till you see the LG Logo then release and press both again
Push PWR + Vol Down till you see the LG logo then release and press and hold the volume up and volume down buttons until reset screen appears.
If you can see the LG logo I think you are not Hard Bricked
I haven't tried that exactly. I'll give it a shot when I get a chance

You may want to check your internal hardware to be sure it's marked as a D802. Typically the feint white stamp in the lower center/left of the phone with rear cover removed is the true model number. It's also stamped on the board and on the ribbon cables going up eithe side. Your device is showing the signs of a false d802 which has become sadly common in recent months.
If it's legit d802 then flash aboot, boot, laf and power it off.
Then hold voume up and connect to pc while still holding volume up.
Make sure you have the drivers installed, fire up lg mobile support tool or the lg flash tool 2014 (you need your kdz file now - find it using your imei and lg-firmware site)
Okay so I found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/lg-g2-unbrickable-fix-real-hard-brick-t2904404 to get it to come up as a device in Windows and Linux. And this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142 I'm sure you read this but you need to do it after following the first guide. I already have a Linux installed and I'm going to try today. I'll update with a guide for you only if you need it and if I succeed. I just need to remind you. You CANNOT mess up on the second guide... Well as far I can tell. But if the first guides label is actually true then maybe I'm wrong.
ok so ive ordered some tools to open up the phone and check the internals. Hopefully its a legit G2. Meanwhile every single possible combination of the power and volume keys does absolutely nothing. If all else fails ill try shorting the capacitors as ive seen on a guide from here and hopefully that will be the end of it. Thanks for all the input guys. Ill keep you posted!

Plug it into a windows machine, open device manager and look for Qualcomm qhsusb_bulk. If you get that, you're already in bulk and don't need to worry about shorting capacitors. If it's not being recognized in any way, you may be forced into that as a last resort.

All you really need to open it up is a guitar pick. It pries apart make sure you take the sim card out. After that it's going to take a little swipe around the edge and it'll pop open no problem.

I checked that already. Not going into bulk mode. Seems like the capacitors are my last resort
so ive poped the phone open and guess what... its not a D802.. its a D800.. the at&t version... wtf.. no wonder i bricked it. gonna see if i can use the unbrickable method
did you checked the IMEI?
nope its says on the speaker grille after you remove the back cover. "D800"
how is that possible? did phone information apps showed your device as 802 aswell? did kernel info and phone info in system settings lied too?

lg g2 trying to unroot

Hello all,
usually i deal with my problems by searching the forum, though this time i am really worried as i cant find anything to my help.
You see something went bad with the screen and because the phone is rooted, i cant get it fixed (it is still in warranty), nor can i use it (the touch sucks).
So i am trying to get it unrooted.
So i have downloaded LG mobile support tool and the drivers, i enter the phone to download mode and nothing happens. i get all the time errors. Also, in the lg mobile support tool, i see a software update. Should i do it? I cant though because the start upgrade button is greyed out, and the "LGD802" sign on the left pane is flushing like its trying to verify my g2. Also, should i wait for like 10 minutes or so when i enter download mode for the bar seen at the phone to be completed before the whole process? Lastly, the most of times the lg mobile support tool crashes on the pc.
Please help me folks... :/

Where did you buy it, it sounds like the symptoms of a frankenphone. There is a post about it, some sellers flash d802 firmware on a d800 and it causes similar problems with screen, IDK about the LG mobile flash tool.

If you are brave enough you could try taking it apart and swabbing all the conections, I don't know if that would help but some people say it helps them. And the screen could just be faulty, you never no, before I took it apart I would try reflashing rom, doing the stock touch firmware update thing, then if it still don't work try flashing a kdz for the model number physically inside your phone not the one in the system info, and then I would take it fully apart, and put it back together then if it don't work, replace the screen.
the thing is i cant really interact with the screen to reflash the rom, its inresponsive. and my lg mobile support tool randomly crashes i hook my phone up the pc and it starts the download drivers part

[Q][Help]L2 G2 D806 completely dead

Hello guys, my name es Hernan and i´ve been using xda forum for at least 6 years with all the phones i had. But today i have a big problem with my LG and after hours of searching i couldnt find how to fix. My last hope is to post here and wish for help from you people.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DESCRIPTION OF THE PHONE BEFORE THE BRICK
LG G2 D806 with 5.0.1 lollipop working perfectly and rooted (with oneclickroot program). I tried to install TWRP using autorec (searching on internet i´ve found that D802 apk would work for D806 since this one doesn´t have his own autorec apk). After that the phone rebooted into fastboot mode. I used this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/mega-tut-how-to-fix-bricked-lg-g2-t3055033) guide to fix it but i didnt work, then i used d802 files to fix it because i thougt it would work.
CURRENT STATUS
If i turn the phone on it shows LG logo, after 2 seconds LG security error and after 2 seconds it turns off by itself.
if you plug the phone windows doesnt recognize it all (nothing at all literally) and it shows LG logo, then lg security error and reboots constantly nonstop. :crying:
no download mode
no recovery mode

thank you all for the help

hello guys, i wasnt able to answer because i was away from home for the new year.
After considering all posibilities and realizing that there was only one way to fix my phone i took courage and did the tutorial i've found and you gave me (http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g...brick-t2904404). After that, the phone revived from hell and right now its working perfectly. I can affirm LG G2 is UNBRICKABLE.
For anyone who will ever read this thread in the next months/years do not desperate if your phone is dead, your LG G2 will never be a brick due to flash mistakes.

H870DS Bricked?

After trying to update my LG G6 (H870DS) via LG Bridge I got a bootloop issue, with no possibility to go out (even a hard reset was impossible to perform). Then I tried to flash the device using LG Up and stock KDZ file, which result in a cryptic error message in my PC, and a device sudden death. Phone it´s 100% dead, LG Bridge/ LG Up don´t detect the phone, I can´t turn it on (not even download mode). I tried to charge the phone, it becames slightly hot (hope signal?).
The thing is that, for several reasons, I have no warranty, that means I have nothing to lose and I am ready to open the phone, shortcircuit the processor or whatever it could work. Any suguestions what to do now in order to bring the phone back to live?
before you open your phone up, double check you got the right kdz file for your region. Opening the phone up will make it not as waterproof as it should, and probably break something! There is discussions about "uppercut" that might be worth checking out (i don't have experience of this so I can't comment on it).

I can't even find the qualcomm device in the windows device manager. I think I tried to flash the wrong KDZ File:
I flashed H870DS10m_00_OPEN_HK_DS_OP_1019.kdz
and now I think that the correct kdz File for my H870DS HONG KONG was: H870DS10b_00_OPEN_HK_DS_OP_0406.kdz
Uppercut is not detecting my G6 either.

Try this
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/unbrick-lg-model-download-recovery-t3060184
Keep pressing off key asa long as hou can with key one by one charfrrit And hold and press vol* and try To connect lg up
After attempting all your tips I just gived up and go to a repair shop, they just confirmed my suspicion, the phone is a dead device, nothing can be done.
Anyone has something I could try? At this point, doing crazy stuff like short the chip or something like that it's ok for me, I have nothing to lose, any guide will be welcomed.
I suggest u to try to fix it with medusa box or octopus box as final option before openning your device ...
If u will open it .. U can read these guides may help u to have a background about what u goning to ..
As always i wish u luck in your situation because u hardbricked yours .. Wish u luck dude ?
