MI Play battery
Using the phone only to make calls/txt and listen to mp3s is about all i use it for now.. Well my son plays Tererria on it as well. Point is i charge it every other day. It claims to have a 3000mah battery. Now lower mah means higher voltage output .. Higher mah applies more 'pressure' or a heavier flow at a lower voltage. Anyway this battery is perfect for this phones specs. The battery is just as important as any other part. IDK whom the manufacture is ,but id like to find out.
It preforms very well with normal use .You shouldn't have to worry about charging it for an entire day for the majority of users.

Posting my initial thoughts under the Light use section since the phone is still pretty new to me, but so far I'm blown away. I'm coming from a Mate 9 which had a 4000 mah battery, and I kinda got spoiled on really good battery life. Initial impressions are that the ZFone might take the endurance crown from the Mate 9. It seems like the Snapdragon 835 is quite a bit more energy efficient the Kirin. I'm normally a very heavy user, but today have been more of a light user.
I'm not one for screen on time measurements, cause everyone's usage patterns are different. For those who care, I can tell you that right now I've got a bit over 2 hours of screen on time and am at 80%, which is really incredible.
I'll post more info in the high endurance section after I've had more time. One side note, it seems that the phone is more efficient on Cell data signal than using Wi-Fi, which isn't something I would have expected. We'll see as time goes on.

Great performance...
Under light use battery can last for more than 24 hrs for sure
I went on a party trip with a friend.
Left in the afternoon and returned noon next day.
Light use just for tickets and light social media use.
After returning the battery still had 50+ percent.
Didn't use any power saving mode at all.
I can easily get through 2 days of use with light usage.

My beast a 3 days old, a normal user here, the battery life is quite awesome, i.e around 13-16 hours on a single charge. I know LG has superbly optimised the battery like out of a 3000 mAh battery. I'm sure the Galaxy S9's 3000 mAh would switch off before the mighty G7, because most of them aren't satisfied with the S9's battery life despite Samsung's Super AMOLED uses less battery than the G7's RGBW LCD excellent display .

Coming from an OG Pixel, the battery life is truly amazing. I no longer have to worry about getting through a day's use.
I don't really game with my phone, mostly I need to take photos (sometimes for the whole day, I do it for my work), browse the web, tether or use some lighter apps like duolingo.
Maybe im not the one who should talk about light use endurance cuz im really heavy user but when i get a day with one battery charging i supose light users are super happy also. I play vainglory which consume a lot of battery, a lot of browsing, music listening etc and i get it trough the day without any problem.
The battery is a beast. Playing music with youtube vanced through bluetooth on 4g for an hour and a half, and I'm still at 100% percent. This is black magic right here.

It was at 75% when I got up at 6 this morning (no point stressing a battery this big by fully charging it, I reckon)
Fair bit of use through the day, including maps, internet radio and a 40 minute WhatsApp call
Home 12 hours later and it's on 60%
Pretty great, really!
Outstanding with the big battery, lasts two days no problem.
