Rooted, asked to erase all data, data was erased, started the backup, but no root... - Samsung Galaxy J5 Questions & Answers

So I used Odin to flash the .md5 file for the J530F, I got the "PASS" in ODIN:

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
After the reboot I got a verifaction failed error and asked to erase all data, I pressed yes, waited for it to finish then started the backup that i had created with Google account. Phone is back to normal now and not rooted for some reason....
What am I doing wrong?
I also tried the other method, use TWRP for J530F instead of the md5 directly, followed all instructions, cleared the whole data to factory settings, installed supersu through TWRP, reboot, download the backup data, SuperSu no longer installed and no root either.....

Hello are you using cf auto root for rooting your phone? If yes. Please do follow this guide

Edit I just checked root is still intact
if you have created your backup with recovery, just copy the files to sdcard/ and restore with recovery.
Other method is to flash stock rom.
edit: try youtube... there are many tutorials for nandroid backups

[Q]Problem after flashing

Hi, so I was trying out a new ROM, but before that I had backed up my entire system (data included) through TWRP.
I tried the new ROM, didn't like it, so I booted into recovery and wiped system + factory reset.
I then flashed ROM + gapps, then restored data from my Nandroid.
After it booted up it's now like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Although all my data is in there, none of the apps are showing up in my launcher. Searching the apps and attempting to download them brings me to an error -24, which basically means I already have the app.
So now I can't do anything with my phone, since I can't reinstall to get the icon back and neither can I launch the app.. Help please?
those arent apps, they are the data for those apps. the apps are in /data/app/, not in your storage.
Oh well, just factory reseted my phone, back to a clean slate. Mods please close this thread, thanks

Lost my storage capacity!!? Not formatting!

i have a nexus 4 today i rooted and flashed twrp using nexus root toolkit.
I was flashing the stock backup but before that i did formatted my system, data, cache, dalvik partitions and then mounted as usb and moved the stock backup then restored the backup. It was successful but now there is a little problem this is showing 10.9GB Free however there is nothing inside. What to do now? I tried deleting manually all the files but still no luck also i did factory reset but no luck. Anyone please help thanks

Solution:
Factory reset your mobile through settings then turn it off (when it is booting)
boot to recovery and now wipe cache and reboot
it will fix

I soft bricked my p10 plus and now update.bat is showing i have a jiayu?

Background: I factory reset my phone few days ago and when i checked my phone build, the model number became jiayu s3, it doesnt matter to me that much but when i tried to wipe dalvik and cache via TWRP, i accidentally clicked Sytem and voila,wiped my entire system in the process.
Then tried unbricking using the methods listed on this links:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10/help/bricked-huawei-p10-phone-wiping-t3649283
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p1...date-guide-t3691013/post76048957#post76048957
When I opened update.bat, everything works fine except that there were some lines on the cmd that seems unusual:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Lines says cannot load C:/HWOTA//recovery/Jiayu
Any ideas?I can install because the cmd shows that it cant find that Jiayu folder.

I've had this issue before with a Huwaei. With custom roms, rooting and or twrp. The problem for me was not following the steps exactly. Wrong file version or wrong file for the phone or wrong order of installtion. Not doing a restart, not clearing cache I'm supposed to. A few times I hit clear data when I mean to click clear cache.
You need to be anal about the instructions and follow them to the letter. If that doesn't work, do what I did. Just do it again and again and again, from the start each time, untill it finaly works. It worked for me.
