Bluetooth Keyboard or controller for SAMSUNG GALAXY S GT / I9000
Hi, Im looking for a working Bluetooth mini keyboard or game controller that works with Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000 phone.
I have test a few they don't work.... WiiMote doesn't work either .
Running stock rom 2.2.1
If anyone has a working solution please reply.
Thanks
BT mouse works
I successfully use my bluetooth mouse over SGS, don't have any wireless keyboard so i can't help you; anyway wiimote officially does not work with samsung phones and so any other wii controller; it's something related to samsung touchwiz i think but not sure.
Cheers
Which mouse you are using?
Try looking in the accessories thread, there is one there that I started that is quite long and has lots of bluetooth keyboards that are confirmed working (I stopped updating the first post a while back, so there are some more not included in that post further into the thread).
Wee example to show it working:

I have a logitech v470. Tried adding it to my phone and it worked flawlessly. Phone immediately connected and suddenly I have a mouse cursor on the screen.
I can't really see the use for it, but it's kind of cool.

[Galaxt Tab 2] problem with bluetooth

Hi to all,
I have got a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and I try to connect to a bluetooth barcode reader.
Pairing works, but when I use the proprietary APP that manage barcode reader,
it asks me again (and continuously) pairing PIN, without connect!!
Proprietary APP is compatible with Android 2.2 and newer, and support the SPP (Serial Port) Bluetooth profile.
I found on Internet that some people have problems to connect a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 to another device that uses
SPP profile....
Anyone know if there is a bluetooth issue in this tablet?
NOTE: I tried to connect barcode reader whith a Sony tablet S.....works correctly!!!!
Thanks!
Paolo
up
We had the same problem and we solved it switching to insecure sockets to connect to the bluetooth devices.
I have the same problem with my bluetooth keyboard. Works fine on an Ipad though..
Have the same problem with a hp mobil printer via bt.
Works on s3 phone.
Samsung suport says its a diffrent bt chip in it. Print app dev working on debuging itnthey say.
Hi, on which model of Samsung Galaxy tab you tested? Have you come up with any solution for supporting Bluetooth SPP on Samsung Galaxy tab 2?

Interesting. When i asked samsung support they said it had a different chip then the s3 phone, and that try a different software. (I had problem with printer)
Might have to try cm on 1 of our tab and see if it i can get my equipment to work.

Did you ever get this figured out? If so could you tell me what had to be done. I bought hubby both the GT-p3113 (refurbished) and Bluetooth Keyboard and Protective Case for Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus P6200/P3100 They are not pairing and I don't know what I am doing wrong.
As you probably have guessed this will be our first use of bluetooth with anything. Nope don't even have cell phones with a bluetooth headset.
Any help I can get would be greatly appreciated.

Does sm-t580 or sm-t590 support midi?

Hi, I'm researching tablets and have a question about the sm-t590 (and by association the t580);
Most of the android devices I've owned, have been able to use and OTG cable and my logitech usb unifying receiver, and then be able to use my wireless mouse and keyboard (usually have to set usb connection to 'Midi').
Don't need this ability often, but sure helps on some occasions.
Does the 590 (580) support midi? My Tab S 8.4 does not, surprisingly.
This is an app on the playstore that can test if midi is supported, would appreciate someone checking, thanks!
Cheers

no problem here.
mouse and keyboard works here fine
identify receiver with adapter otg at once and automatically
my tab is t580 with lineage pie
Just a quick update, I've received my T590 and as @nill3bor mentioned (thanks), it certainly does support midi, at least in the sense I need it for. So, if you'd like to have a keyboard and mouse but don't think you'll use them often, follow the link to an inexpensive ($21.99) logitech combo. I especially like having the option when using something like Termux.
Also, I think Sammy has hit a sweet spot with this device, screen is perfectly fine, cpu is perfectly fine, form factor is ideal, love how it doesn't heat up at all, and the battery lasts and lasts.
Inexpensive option for keyboard and mouse:

I cannot run Samsung Dex on MacBook- SM-T540

Hello guys. I don’t get the MacBook recognises my Samsung Galaxy Active Tab Pro using Samsung Dex. It does recognise the device using Android File Transfer for instance, instead. I have tried installing and te installing both softwares.
The Samsung Chat Support told me I need to buy the Samsung Dex cable, but as far as I know it is an USB-C to HDMI cable, so the connection would not be so “clean”. Actually I have seen Samsung Dex devices working on MacBooks without such a cable.
Any ideas please? I’m desperate because I need it for my work.
Your device doesn't support Samsung DEX. It only works on high-end Samsung devices from the Note 8 onwards.

Smart Tab M10 Plus: Access to smart dock with normal BT?

Hi,
I just bought the "Smart Tab M10 Plus TB-X606FA" and want to access the smart dock of the tablet via "vanilla bluetooth", but both, my mobile phone (Samsung Note 10) and my laptop Computer (Manjaro/KDE), deny access.
The laptop connects, but I do not see any audio profile. Do these smart docks not work as normal speakers at all? I am not going to use Siri, Alexa or whatever external microphone im my home ;-) Does anybody know, if there is any open source driver, to access the dock?
Furthermore, I am wondering, if there is already a developmet ongoing to get LinageOS running on the tablet?
Thanks
