Dual sim PH - OnePlus 6T Questions & Answers

Getting a one plus 6t in January and planning on using it overseas in Phillipines. I want to use there sim and my tmobile sim. I know tmobile works over there but it's 128kbs. I'm going to be buying a globe sim and using it too. Wanted to know if I have both Sims in how will data and voice calls go?

You specify data sim.
Calls come in on both.

6t does not support Dual Sim Dual active.
tech_head is correct on how to use two sims.

Can I use a t-mobile nexus 4 on AT&T?

As the title suggests, I am talking to a guy who has a t-mobile nexus 4 that he is currently using on t-mobile.
I wanted to buy it but he said I would have to take it to a store to get it unlocked to work on AT&T. Is that true? Or can I just pop in my AT&T sim card and be good to go?
Thanks!

Yeah, it comes factory unlocked. Pop in an AT&T micro SIM, adjust APN settings accordingly and he should be good to go!
+1 on above post.
theres no such thing as a "t-mobile" nexus 4 , t-mobile just sells it, its the exact same nexus 4 you can buy from the google play store.
just pop your sim in and youll be fine. it comes factory unlocked already.
You can, but, I've read that the data speed is not as fast as it would be on T-Mobile. So just something to keep in mind.
Check the bands for speed reference and its only LTE that operates on a different band for AT&T so you won't be able finger that. Other than that you will be OK.

[Q] N9005 Dual Sim Adapter

Hi All,
I just purchased a dual sim adapter from Magic Sim for my Note 3 N9005.
The problem is, it can only keep one sim active at a time.
My question is, are there any application available in Android ?
It does not fulfill my purpose of having two sim cards active at the same time, My intention is to use one sim for calling and other for only data.
If anyone has any ideas please help me out.

Nope you will need to get the duel sim version or if your with orange or EE in the UK i know they can add a 2nd line to your current contract or you maybe able to set up call divert from one sim to the other :^)

I'm pretty sure there is no such thing as a 4G dual sim model.
At least the Dual SIM models I've seen myself are 3G ONLY...
Certainly if it's exynos there will be no 4G
just FYI
I know I can always forward calls but my purpose of having two active sims doesn't fulfill. My second sim is only a data sim card. I wanted to usr my second sim for data plan. I have seen other Android dual sim phones that give option to choose data plans from a particular sim. I thought it was going to be similar..
Their products website does say it supports 4g and I can use it too but only one sim. So if I switch to my data sim then I can use 4g but my phone calling sim gets switched off.
I was looking for an application that can help me keep both my sim cards active.

The n9009 had 2 sim slots but never seen one myself :^)

There are BT units available which allows 3 or 4 sim active, but only supports gsm, if you need 4g, the main usim will go into the phone.

I send a message to their technical support team. They replied as
"Yes you can although you will need to get your phone unlocked first"
Therefore i need to unlock my note 3 SCL22, before buying dual SIM adapter.

Going to Canada

Hello, I'm going over to Canada for a couple of days and had some general questions...
First, does Canada have prepaid options? I'm mostly needing data services. Where can I buy them and what is reliable / easiest to use? I'll be going to Vancouver from Washington state.
My phone is rooted, so if Canada has prepaid options available, is the phone unlocked so I can just switch out sim cards?
Thank you~
For couple days..eh..i would've said use Google voice grooveIP or talkatone.along with wifi...but if you buy tmobile.sim which I believe works with Canada tmobile network you should be fine...i mean couple.days...

[Q] Spring Galaxy S4 with Israel Sim Card

I am traveling to Israel and want to buy a local (Orange network) SIM card to use in my Sprint Galaxy S4. What settings, etc. do I need to change; what do I need to do other than inserting the new SIM card?
There's a guide for international unlock. Search before posting please.

Wow, the procedure in that thread sounds awfully complicated. Is that really needed?
Yes.

I do believe you, but doesn't Sprint claim they can unlock it and then you just insert the SIM card?
You need to.have sprint for 90 days and have good standing. Means up to date with your bills and no problems. Their unlock doesn't work 100% of the time.

I've had Sprint for years and everything is 100% up to date.
Is it worthy trying their unlock first? How can I tell if it works or not? And then if not, go through this procedure?
Sorry to sound ignorant, but I am.

Call the international department and tell them you plan to go to Europe soon so you need to unlock the phone. They will send a update to your phone. You can check by setting a international Sim or even an ATT or Tmobile Sim into the phone. If it shows "no sim inserted" then it was not correctly unlocked.

Thank you. I will call them. Do you mean that I can insert the international Sim and even though it won't work in the US, I'll be able to tell that the unlock worked?

You mean Asia,not Europe
One additional question for you patient souls: once I've got it all unlocked with (hopefully) the sim working correctly, can I just leave the sim in the phone and switch between the CDMA & GSM modes or do I need to actually remove it when I return to the US and back to Sprint service?

The Sprint sim is required to receive LTE so yes, you must put the Sprint sim back in and reset your APNs for Sprint.

Thanks. I've been doing a lot of reading about the Spring S4 with international Sim and see a lot about needing to manually edit APNS to get data and that one needs to be rooted to do that. Is that so? I am not rooted.
There are apps in the play store that can add the APNs for you automatically. Not sure if you need to be rooted to use them though. Search the play store for APN apps and the descriptions will tell you if they require root or not.

Dual Sim on TMobile and AT&T?

Has anybody tried to use the dual Sim version on both TMobile and AT&T in the US?
I'm very interested in how well it works in practice and if wifi calling is working. I would be especially interested in experiences with TMobile as sim1 and AT&T as sim2.
