Verizon Sim Card slot issue - OnePlus 6T Questions & Answers

So I got the phone Friday and everything was working perfectly except for the texting coming so I called Verizon and had them the cdma_less feature. After that my text came flooding in. So I used the phone all day and later on I lost signal completely. So I shut my phone off and on multiple times and I would get LTE but no voice over LTE so I couldn't make phone calls and then my phone signal stopped again.
I called technical support and they did a bunch of resets on the network side and still couldn't get it working so they suggested that I get a new SIM card. I got a new SIM card and still didn't work so I called technical support again and they went through a bunch of things with me and finally they had me move it over to SIM card slot 2. They did get it going in SIM card slot 2 but I've also read people online having troubles with this when they had it in sim 2 and that most were using sim 1.
Has anyone else had this issue and what slot are you using? I'm worried that it's going to happen again. Which SIM card slot are you using and do you think the SIM card slot is an issue? I don’t understand why it would work for a whole day in slot 1. Thanks in advance.

I have been having this same issue after updating to 9.0.10. I was on the phone with Verizon and OnePlus for 50 minutes. Still have not gotten the issue resolved.
If anyone has any insight, it would be greatly appreciated.

Have you switched Sim card slots? Ever since I went from 1 to 2 I haven't had one issue

I read somewhere that a factory reset fixes it

9.0.10 breaks Verizon connectivity. You might get some LTE, but no voice or messaging. Looks like people can fix it with a factory reset.
FYI: Same issue on the new beta.

I tried everything except for a factory reset on 9.0.10. Decided to try the open beta. That resolved the issue for me.

Are you forcing the update by using a VPN or getting it OTA?

Network Not Found

So I have this Tmobile wing for 2 weeks and it worked fine until today.
I turned on the phone and the network couldn't be found.
I went outside and still nothing and I am using OpenTouch. can someone help me figure this out?
Have you tried a soft reset or a power cycle? If that doesn't work, consider taking out the sim card and reinserting it.
I had the same problem yesterday. I pulled out my sim card and put it in another phone to see if it was my sim and sure enough the other phone could not find a network. so i put in a new sim and called t-mobile and works fine now

Signal stop working! :(

I woke up this morning and the signal was good and strong. Then at 10 am there was no signal on the phone. Tried to get a signal outside and no luck. I called T-mobile but they don't really know what is going on. I tried flashing another radio to see if it was the radio and still same problem. Hmmm what could be the problem I am in New York. Any one else experiencing a signal problem? Or if anyone had this problem before and fixed it. Any help is appreciated.
You aren't getting anything? No 3G, Edge or just regular?
Nothing no 3G no Edge nor phone works its stays on searching
hard reset doesn't work either?
Nope ^^ tried removing battery, hard reset, changing radios, and manually choosing carrier... I will try the sim card in another phone to see if its the phone
Call tech support back they told my brother they have had several of these calls but no one called them back after they told them to go change their sim card.
We tried the SIM card in another phone and same thing-no signal. So he went to T-mobile store and was issued a new SIM. Still no signal. In my brother's case it has to be an account problem so your best bet is to start there. Maybe try a SIM from another account, even one from ATT should work.
Got it working Thank you all for the advice. Apparently it was a sim card problem. I got a new sim card and I am up and running ^^

Sim card issue

Hello guys
I'm having an issue when my x10 says there's no Sim card inside and the problem isn't with my Sim card since I tried in my old phone and it works. Even other Rogers Sim card don't work. Anyway I tried taking the battery out and after 3 attempt its working again. So, I want to know anyone else having the same problem and what's the solution?

I had the same issue but mine was a little different. My Xperia would not accept my rogers Sim ( 3 years old ) but it worked fine in all my other handsets.. it was the Sim card in my case and I was surprised to have it replaced free of charge.. also I found that some of the Sims are thinner than others so they would not have enough pressure to make a good contact. A quick fix from my friends Nokia was some clear tape on the back of his sim and it worked perfect.
Good luck!

TMobile's customer service department told me to bend the sim card very gently to ensure good contacts are made. Did this on first day and not had any problems since (famous last words... I'll be digging out the tape by tomorrow!)
My Sim card is like 5 year old anyway It's working now

All u guys with 5yr old simcards need to get rid of them! Those have like 28kb of storage on them, so their phone books are so, so limited!
I know! U use the phones memory, which is a whooooooole bunch! But if your phone ever crashed, all your contacts will be gone! U cannot always copy the entire list of contacts to the sim card, but with a newer 3G simcard, you can copy a lot more than your 5yr old sim card can hold.
These are free! Just walk into your provider's store and request a new simcard. U dont even have to show them what kind of phone u have (ahem!... those of us who are skimming with grandfathered data plans ). Just walk in and say "left my phone at work, but I need a simcard".
I think this thread will help you
as it does for me

I checked that thread, but I hadn't rooted my x10a yet. Going waiting until something extraordinary happens
Someday I will change my sim card lol

Phone still works after sim removed. How/why.

Yesterday I upgraded to a gs3 which came with a micro sim. I wanted to see if I could keep my old phone as a backup. Would the lte micro sim work in my non-lte full-sized-sim captivate/gs1?
After 3 trys i managed to properly align the micro sim in the full sized sim slot and it worked. But then the weird part. Without powering down the phone I plucked out the sim (possible because the micro sim is so small). To my surprise the phone did not give any error and both data and voice calls continued to work without a sim actually in the phone.
How was that possible? Further, what would have happened if I had booted up my new phone with the sim card that my old phone still thought it was using (I was too afraid to try)? Would both phones continue to work? Would they both ring when someone calls?

any sim should work as long as its activated and its the same size.
and no they both wont work, the phone that has no sim will show "no sim" upon reboot

Perhaps I was not clear. I removed the sim without turning the phone off and it continued to work. I know it should not, but it does. That is what I am asking, how is that possible? Does the phone only check for a sim when it boots, and from then on the sim is not needed?
Then what would happen if I boot up phone #2 while phone #1 still thinks that the sim card is in it.
I'm interested, try it and let us know what happens.

I'm not an expert, but I think all the SIM provides is a string of numbers that identifies the phone with a phone number. This is most likely cached in the device while it is on and it might not need the SIM card after it has already gotten the information. This might not pertain to all phones, maybe the Galaxy S3 was programmed slightly differently.
If you power down the phone and restart without the SIM, the phone will most likely ask you for a SIM.
It is an S1/Captivate that is working without a sim. And yes, when I reboot the phone it stops working. I'm not brave enough to try both phones at the same time. That seems like something that the phone company would notice.
I tried removing the SIM from my captivate while it was running, and for a short time it still showed signal. Soon after I got a message asking to put in a SIM and restart. I don't have an LTE SIM or microSIM to test with, but it doesn't seem likely that the cappy will continue to work without one. Or at least without starting with a regular SIM.

Cannot connect to mobile network: NO SIM CARD - EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY

Hi, I recently bought a new Yotaphone2 (YD206) taking advantatge of the Singles' day discounts, but I am having some trouble connecting to the mobile network.
Since I did not have a nanosim available from the beggining, I started by updating its ROM (I used the last Russian one, while keeping the Chinese radio) and then I rooted it. So far so good.
The thing is, after my microsim was cut into a nanosim (the guy at the mobile phone store did it, using one of these "staplers"), I inserted it in the tray but it is not recognized on the phone. On the screen you can read "No sim card - emergency calls only".
At first I thought it was the radio, and I even flashed it again. I also went back to the original chinese rom, with no success. I think it's not a radio problem, since I can get some statistics in the *#*#4636#*#* menu, but I am not a 100% certain. Of course, I've already tried rebooting, setting the airplane mode on and off, removing and inserting the sim again, etc. Apart from that, wifi, bluetooth and everything else work as expected.
The sim card works, because using a microsim adapter I can fit it in my Nexus 4 and it gets signal. There are three options here: either the radio is not properly configured/flashed, the phone is faulty or the sim has been wrongly cut.
Could you help me troubleshoot the problem?
Solved!
Solved! It was the sim card, it was not properly cut. I used some sandpaper so sand one edge that was a bit rough. I didn't even have to reboot, the phone asked for my pin inmediately. I'm using the last EU rom with the chinese radio.
Yay! Happy!
I have the same issue now and my yotaphone 2 was bought in China... I've tried the sim cards from two companies, both didn't work. I doubt I received a defective product.
