Help...

N910F - constant crashing (even provokable in recovery)

My N910F started being unstable about 6 months ago, with stock firmware.
At first it was clearable with a factory reset so I assumed it was a bad app, but it's now at the point where it bootloops even after reformatting all partitions and reinstalling roms+kernels (it happens with stock or custom roms/kernels)
To cap it off, it's even possible to provoke a crash inside TWRP 2.8.1.0 by issuing a simple "dmesg" command in the terminal
Does anyone have suggestions?
Turno off finge print scanner and android encryptation
just updated to twrp 2.8.7.0 and having the same problem.

It's not getting past the bootup screen on any rom to be able to do either - and I've never enabled encryption anyway - not that it matters as both are disabled on a factory-fresh installation of any rom (stock or modified)
The crash on dmesg is one thing that I'm particularly worried about. Can anyone else replicate this behaviour in recovery?
It's really too bad that CWM or TWRP don't contain badblock and memory testers.
After writing zeros to the entire /cache /system and /data partitions (dd if=/dev/zero of=/filesystem/dummy), the phone finally stabilised.
My hypothesis at the moment is that there's a SSD badblock lurking somewhere. It'd be interesting to know if there are any tools which can analyse the flash chips (on par with smartctl)

No system due to improper handling

Hello everyone,
That's my problem. I successfully installed the Resurrection remix rom a few days ago, and seeing that the battery seemed to drain very quickly, I wanted to change to test the LineageOs. But I had to do a bad manipulation somewhere because now the phone has no more operating system.
Is there a way to restore the system, or can I put the zip files on the phone in recovery mode?
Thank you in advance for your answers.
Hate, Hate, Hate. I had as same trouble as you. How did you get it? Did wipe internal or built in Factory Reset? Both situation I had.
I can not reset because I can not turn it on, because there is no system ...
Hopefully someone can help us
Can't you boot on recovery or fastboot?
I want to know how did you it. For my 2 situations way to resolve was different.

Please help. Note 4 does not start.

Hello everyone.
I have a Note 4, and I have flashed the last ROM for ODIN because it gave me some problems.
The case is that after flashing the ROM without giving any failure the ODIN, when starting and after leaving the green android doll saying that is installing the update, I start to get a lot of red letters on the screen, saying that it can not find the cache partition, the system partition (or none).
If I restart it, it does not go beyond the initial screen of Note 4.
Please help. I'm desperate and I do not know what else to do.
Sorry for my bad English.
I edit to expand information:
I have tried installing TWRP but it will not let me mount any partitions.
Motherboard problem?
Is there anyone who can help me, please?
I do not know what else to do to make it work ... :crying:
mb problem. put phone in freezer without battery. make it rly cold and then put battery and sim in and try to flash. should work. keep trying. it will eventually flash.
wakelock app and don't turn off.

Looking for help (s8)

Hey guys,
I have an Exynos S8 and installed twrp. Somehow, when i want to wipe data to factory reset, it says unable to mount /preload.
So when i start my phone normally, it stays in the "GALAXY S8" screen with the black background (forever).
Does anybody know how to fix it? Or even better, how to proceed if i want to install LineageOS ?
Please help and thanks in advance!
UPDATE: I was able to wipe preload by disabling MTP. Only now, when i choose the reboot TWRP says "no OS installed. Are you sure to reboot?" I don't want to try that ^^
SOLVED - was able to flash lineageos

Hey guys,
sorry in advance for the newbielike mistakes i made...^^
I wanted to put lineageOS on my galaxy s8 by following the step by step guide from "getdroidtips".
I've installed Twrp and it seems to work so far, and here is where im stuck. From there, i can't flash lineageOS like i should be able to.
Now i wanted to put the original firmware back in the phone with odin, and i did everything right (also extract pit file from csc etc.), but odin just says "setup connection" without doing anything else.
I'm really desperite now :'(
Could anybody help?
Thx in advance

What is the problem you are facing when trying to install lineage os? Did you format the data partition and erased system and cache? What version are you using (SD or exynos) Where did you download it from? Your problem should be easily fixable

Hi thanks for the quick answer,
i took everything provided from that website, and yes i erased everything before trying to install lineageOS ( it was in the steps)
I'm on exynos ^^
The problem i faced is after the (re)boot, my phone just went in a loop when turning on (black screen -> GALAXY S8 -> black screen -> GALAXY S8...)
