A2017U brick. EDL not working - ZTE Axon 7 Questions & Answers

Hey guys, I'm having issue trying to unbrick my Axon 7.
Trying to boot my phone at all gives me this issue no matter the mode:

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
This happens before everything, so I can't enter recovery, DFU, nor FTM.
And EDL mode seems to be broken as the red light indicator stays on and device is detected as this
Xiaomi Flash, Axon7Toolkit, and this doesn't see the device
On my second working Axon 7 the device manager detects it properly as 9008, so I assume that my drivers are installed properly.
Any other ways of unbricking?
EDIT:
I've also tried the 4th category brick repair but it always ends up in
catastrophic failure 0x8000ffff
Guess I'm ****ed huh?

Have you tried the DFU multi tool from @raystef66 ?

Yes, I did. But my QUSB_DRIVER had a warning sign so it wasn't detected by it.

@iampro17: You say that the QUSB_DRIVER had a warning sign. Go to Device Management in Windows 10 and post the exact error/warning here. To get there:
Hold Windows key then tap R key
Type in "devmgmt.msc" without quotes
Right click on QUSB_BULK driver

Make sure you run the DFU multitool in Win 7 compatibility if you are running Win 8 or Win 10.
It seems to have a conflict if it's not on Win 7
You will also get the device disconnected status.

Do you have a ROM with Fastboot and drivers ?
yes..i have
You dont have all the drivers installed , you are missing one specific that makes your phone be recognized in fastboot mode...
Download Drivers for your computer recognize the phone in fastboot mode. Unzip and put the files inside the folder in C:\android-sdk (take a look of the 3th image)
INSTALL WITH YOUR PHONE PLUGGED:

[SOLVED] Tried to flash bootloader while no apx mode deteced

Hello,
I was trying to flash the Skrilax Bootloader with the backthund3r flashing utility and something goes wrong.
Now I have a black screen on my tablet, led on the flashing is stuck halfway.
I hope somebody could help me.
Here is what I have done exactly :
Plug the tablet.
Run blackthund3r A500APXFlash.exe
Enter SBK
Choose V8-Thor_1.7.3_recovery.a500apx
Choose the automatic method.
Click enter APX Mode --> black screen on the tablet / let on.
I have had a warning about a bad Acer driver, so I had to reinstal the driver using the link that was provided by the software.
AT THIS STEP I HAD TO UNPLUG THE TABLET TO INSTALL THE SOFTWARE...I DID IT WITHOUT QUITING A500APXFlash
Once the drivers are installed I clicked "Try again" to got to the APX Mode.
I thought it was ok but because I had the black screen on my tablet but in fact the device was not connected "No APX mode detected", I guess I didnt focused on that...
What next is that I click next anyway and didnt cancel the flash.
Had the message box for the bootloader check, I clicked 'No' because the tablet didnt load into the bootloader.
Now backthund3r is stuck halfway and the tablet is not responding (blackscreen, led on).

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
At this step I really don't know what to do...
Is there someting I shout do to continue the flashing process ?
OR shoud I stop I try to hard reset my tablet ?
TIA for your help...
Well.. I just hard reset my tablet and it's working again.

MSM8994DownloadTool, getting "Marshall London Bootloader Interface"

I've installed fastboot, and it can communicate fine with the phone, but I can't seem to get the MSM8994DownloadTool tool to do anything, I run it as admin and click the Start button... and some text changes on all the rows and nothing, no progress bar nothing for hours.
I was first trying to do this via a VMware VM (on Mac) but read somewhere that, that doesn't work, so now I'm using the installed Windows 10 bootcamp, but doesn't seem to help. (edit, I have now found out that it doesn't matter, and it seems to work just fine in a VM or desktop computer)
I've also disabled the Driver signature enforcement feature on Windows 10.
I installed the Oneplus 2 driver that comes on the phone when it's running Android.
As you can see I have no Ports section, only the MarshallLondon Device, which is what disappears when I unplug the phone while in fastboot mode.

I'm using the "full Oxygen OS 150805 restoration package" linked here http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-2/general/oneplus-solution-hard-bricked-device-t3183449
I've seen a youtube video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARyaWKpRz3U&feature=youtu.be&t=4m5s and he has the device in the Ports sub item in the Device Manager, where as I seem to get this "Marshall London Bootloader Interface", which when you try and update with the driver provided in the opt2 zip says it is already up to date.
PS, the whole reason I'm using this downloadtool is because the phone's recovery doesn't work and it's OEM locked.
Anyone have any ideas where I'm going wrong?
Any suggestions would be very welcome
Edit
Well solved this issue (though the phone still doesn't work).
Turns out somehow I missed the critical step, you don't want to be in fastboot mode, you want this other mode, which you can get to by having the phone off, then pressing vol up and plugging in the USB.
Or plug in the phone USB and hold down vol up and power for about 30 seconds, or until you see (hear) a device show up in the Device manager, most likely with a question mark, unless you;ve already installed the drivers for it..

Can't Flash anything via MiFlash.

Hi all. I've a trouble. First of all my device is US model. I'm using W10 x64 and MiFlash see my device.
I installed PureNexus but didn't like it and reboot recovery mode from power menu but TWRP didn't boot up. I couldn't boot system, bootloader, TWRP. Just EDL.
I try flash TWRP from EDL via MiFlash but it stucks on this steps.

Hi there,
Not an expert, but what helped me in a similar situation was running MiFlash as 'Admin'...
Hopefully that helps

[GUIDE] Xiaomi Mi Max 3. Recover bricked phone with bootloader closed and no Xiaomi account. "This MIUI version can't be installed on this device"

Ok, here is a Tutorial if you have a closed bootloader and installed the wrong stock version. Phone doesn't boot with message:
"This MIUI version can't be installed on this device". If you have this problem, because, for example, you have flashed global version and your phone is chinese, read this carefully.
First, you need yo open phone and use the test point method to enter EDL mode.

You have to completely turn off the phone, i recommend plug out battery. Then you must pin these two, and plug usb.
Open MiFlash, then click on reflesh button, you must see COMX port detected. If you see some letters and numbers you are not in EDL mode, so turn off all, and try again.
Then download your GOOD stock version.
There must be a tag.gz compressed file, uncompress it to C:\rom.
THIS THE MOST IMPORTANT Part:
Download this (all credits to Channel TTA):
https://bit.ly/noneedauth
Uncompress it to C:\rom\image and replace the file. This is for avoid the EDL authorization, in my case, I didn't have my Xiaomi account linked to my mobile...
Then press flash, and wait.
You will have the mobile working, you must enable dev settings, then enable OEM unlock in dev settings, (keep pressed for 5 seconds the OEM Unlock option), then link your account with your phone.
After doing this you can unlock bootloader from fastboot, and install custom ROMS, or ROOT.
I hope this guide helps someone, who had bricked his phone and have the bootloader closed.
